Angelina Jolie Hearts New York
Mom-to-be Angelina Jolie leaves an office building in New York City on Tuesday with sunglasses and a smile!
Ang’s newest film - Wanted, an adaptation of the Mark Millar novel, will be shooting this month in New York according to the New York City Mayor’s Office of Film, Theater and Broadcasting.
Wanted’s cast includes:Angie, James McAvoy, Morgan Freeman, and Common. The film is about an apathetic 25-year-old (McAvoy) who discovers that his murdered father was a member of the Fraternity, a society of assassins with special powers. A woman named Fox (played by Ang) lures him in to the Fraternity, which trains him how to use his formerly dormant powers to avenge his father’s death. Fierce!
Wanted is scheduled for a June 28, 2008 release.

the Education Partenership for Children of Conflit
Following in the footsteps of Brad, Angelina Jolie took advantage of the Clinton Global Initiative Event to announce the Education Partnership for Children of Conflict; a $148 million dollar campaign. From the article,
“’Education can transform the lives of children in conflict, giving them the tools to create a better future for their families and their nations,’ explained Angie, who co-chairs the Education Partnership with Gene Sperling, Director of the Center for Universal Education at the Council on Foreign Relations. ‘This Partnership is putting words into action,’ Angie explained, ‘and demonstrating that even in the most difficult circumstances, every child can and should have a chance to learn.’”
The partnership will include commitments to improve educational opportunities for 1+ million conflict-affected children, assistance to 200,000 Iraqi refugee children, and aid to more than 300,000 children affected by the Darfur genocide. It will also have the backing of 19 World Renowned Organizations and Individuals in 15 Countries.

Angelina Jolie’s Public Statements on Refugee Crisis
Over the past few weeks, actor and UNHCR goodwill ambassador Angelina Jolie has brought new and heightened attention to the Iraqi refugee crisis. She visited the region, spoke to refugees and internally displaced persons, and met with high-level U.S. and Iraqi officials. The news and entertainment media covered her visit, and she penned an op-ed in the Washington Post last Thursday.
In it, she pointedly states:
My visit left me even more deeply convinced that we not only have a moral obligation to help displaced Iraqi families, but also a serious, long-term, national security interest in ending this crisis. Today’s humanitarian crisis in Iraq - and the potential consequences for our national security - are great.
Ms. Jolie is exactly right here. The crisis is dire, and the U.S. has a moral responsibility to address it. She urges increased U.S. aid to the region, which Human Rights First also believes is extremely important. And there’s a twin obligation of the United States, as a member of the international community and a key player in this war, that goes unmentioned in this op-ed - the obligation to resettle the most vulnerable refugees in the United States.
In an ideal world, or course, the 4 million-plus displaced Iraqis would be able to return in safety to their homes. But it’s not an ideal world. We must step up to help those at greatest risk.
Ms. Jolie also calls on the presidential candidates and leaders in Congress to include a comprehensive refugee plan as part of any Iraq strategy. (Check out our earlier blog posts for highlights of presidential candidates’ mentions of the crisis. Also note that there are leaders on both sides of the aisle seeking to address specific aspects of the crisis.) It is indeed essential that the refugee crisis be considered in all its aspects by the current administration and congressional leadership, as well as the future leaders of the United States. It’s inextricable from the region’s present and future.

Good Morning to all the fans.
There is a lot of positive information out there about BP and AJ and all the good works they are doing. The thread and fans do not have to be beaten down by troll(s), tab interns and troublemakers. Ignore the negative and obvious lie and focus on the positive. There will always be rumors, lies and slanted media against the Jolie-Pitts. However, they continue to live their lives and be of inspiration to others. Don’t let haters drag the thread down just because they have a negative viewpoint and hired trolls.
Check out additional news items at the Papa Pitt Tree of Life thread for those who miss them. Thanks to all the fans that posted positive articles, videos, pictures and links. Thanks for the People photo of AJ and Maddox. AJ looks beautiful in her dress and the twins look good also, not the twin babies(they have yet to appear?) but the other twins.
Just kidding. Have a great day and peace to all. Thanks for all the updates Just Jared.

thank u miss lovely bdj.for all the links and art.good morning all!
Okay — is it just me, or is anyone else confused by that CGI article posted that starts out “Following in the footsteps of Brad…,” — first of all….as I recall, Angie didn’t follow in the footsteps of Brad the FIRST time she did CGI, I think she actually spoke BEFORE him….if they’re meaning ‘figuratively,’ I don’t see how they could mean that either - no offense of course to Brad.
That’s just a weird/odd way to start an article on someone who is so influential in her own right - it’s strange….as usual, whoever is writing this has an agenda, I just can’t see what it is.
It’s pretty stupid, it sounds like the agenda is — ‘let’s make Angelina Jolie look like she’s following someone else for once, instead of what is usually the case - everyone following in HER footsteps’ ?
Whatever it is, when everyone that reads it - will know the writer is wrong, and starts scratching their heads…that’s not exactly the recation an author wants.
Where is this from - as usual, no once sourced.
..oh and Angelina looks beautiful in that pink maternity dress. Bet Brad misses her already. :-D
good morning beatiful people!!!, hope you all have a wonderful day!!
Angie looks so beatiful in that dress!!.
Please JJ put a new thread with that pic.
lovely clini, its okey.we all knew bout it!its a nameless source any how.
