OlderAbbey Dawn: Avril Lavigne’s New Clothing Line
Rocker chick Avril Lavigne is teaming up with retailer Kohl’s to launch her own clothing line in July, reports USA Today
The juniors’ collection, named Abbey Dawn after Avril’s childhood nickname, will be “a lot of hot pinks and blacks and stars and purple and zebra. Basically, everything I wear. I have a very particular style. I want it to be available to a lot of girls, and I want it to be affordable. I walked through (a Los Angeles) Kohl’s the other day and said, ‘Oh, when my line is here it’s totally going to stand out.”
Proving she’s more than just a performer, Avril added, “I actually am the designer. What’s really important to me is that everything fits well and is well-made, so I try everything on and approve it all. I’m making sure that I think people in their 20s are going to wear it because it’s going to be a sexy fit, not just, ‘Oh, T-shirts and hoodies.’ The hoodies are slimming. It’s not a thick, bulky material.”
Pieces from Abbey Dawn will range from $24 to $48.
And fashion isn’t the only new venture Avril, 23, is pursuing. Says Lavigne, “I want to — it’s just going to sound crazy, but I’m going to make it happen — I want a film career,”

Seriously , Avril came out with her own style as i may put it … the whole reason she was loved so much was for being so different so yeah i understand all the artist wanna have a clothing line but if any of them deserved it or should have it , It would be avril …. she is original and her style is completly her own . Hey! Avril haters! You guys SUCK! Avril is a talented singer/model. She wants to try new things. She got tired of her old style and besides she was a teen when she wore ties and other cool things. Now she’s an adult and wants to be a model and of course still sing. At least she’s not like Britney Spears, Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan. She’s Avril Lavigne the best damn singer!!

Avril Lavigne isn’t only a great singer,she is creative and so she created a new fashion line, which is really beautiful!
I think she did the right thing because at this time a lot of rubbish is in the shopping centre!
and what fans are you when you have got a problem with ehr new style?its her life and not yours! She can make her own decision and she wouldn’t ask you what to do!

honestly her career was good at one point and she was really good, but she doesnt really stand out if anything she is just like everyother perrsonn who shops at hot topic, i dont see the point in having her clothing at kohls, ill look but i doubts it will be “unigue” or “”designed by herself” but anywho who cares right, have your own style dont copy someone just cuz there famous, shes not that great anymore ayways.
