OlderPatrick Swayze Has Terminal Cancer
Patrick Swayze has terminal cancer and only has five weeks to live, reports The National Enquirer.
The 55-year-old Dirty Dancing actor was diagnosed in late January with pancreatic cancer that has spread to other organs. Swayze has been receiving treatment at Stanford University’s cancer center in Palo Alto for radical chemotherapy.
“He was told he could have two more treatments, but his cancer was not responding. In short - they held out little hope for a cure,” said an insider.
The NY Post has confirmed the news with his publicist, saying, “He’s suffering from pancreatic cancer, which could tragically bring down the curtain on his remarkably diverse career… The average life expectancy is six to nine months, with only 4 percent of patients living more than five years.”

UPDATE: Swayze’s doctor, Dr. Patrick George, tells People: “Patrick has a very limited amount of disease and he appears to be responding well to treatment thus far. All of the reports stating the time frame of his prognosis and his physical side effects are absolutely untrue. We are considerably more optimistic.”
Swayze’s rep adds: “Patrick is continuing his normal schedule during this time, which includes working on upcoming projects. The outpouring of support and concern he has already received from the public is deeply appreciated by Patrick and his family.”

This is the worst cancer there is. I have to know first hand about it , my two best friends have had it. One is the second longest pancreatic cancer , survior in the world, since 1998. My other is fighting it now, with some luck. Went to Cancer Center of America in Tulsa, OK.

Patrick, I am praying that you will come to Know Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, He is the only way to life. He can heal, but even if he choses not to, he gives great peace and eternal life. My little sister just died of Melanoma stage 4, and God’s mercy and grace where phenominal. She is now at home with her savior.

Oh dear God. This is the most lethal form of cancer known to medicine. I’m praying for a miracle, but if God has other plans for him, then I pray God will give him an easy passing and a safe trip home.
My husband and I are devastated with this terribly news. I am sure Patrick will pull through this; he is such a great person. I heard someone say ‘his daughter’ on one of the news items. Do not know if it is true; would like to think he has children. We have been married 51 years this year. He has 30 so far and married to the same woman - great for Hollywood. I had testicular cancer and was given 6 months back in the 1980’s. I was 17 years old at the time. I was given traditional chemo and more importantly: experimental. That was 20 years ago and here we are. I sincerely believe that Patrick would stand a better chance if his treatment consisted of intense and cutting-edge chemos and whatever else is available. I mean “everything”. He must reach out beyond the scope of what he’s receiving thus far. I know I’m repeating myself here, but I want him to stick around for a long long time. Alan

I was upset wen i herd it il send all my love and Reiki to help him to cross over when he is ready. I saw him yust before my daughter was born en now she looks at his films once a mont and she set tho me wy is he going to die. I’ll like his films and i dont want him to die, mama kant you do anithing, i’ll set tho her the god lord want him on his side because he made people to think about a lot of things, maybey other people wil think about it and dont judge about colour or religine and other people who think different.

I have faith that Patrick will be healed, it part from his tremendous positive outlook. My mom has surived Pancreatic Cancer twice and 12 years later, after her original diagnosis, is still alive!
You can fight it. Spiritually and nutritionally. Change your thinking, It’s TIME! Someone in my family died of the same thing. Don’t wait,you have the time to start a new you!

He has always worked hard and earned every credit all by himself.
No one, not even you, deserve to die this way.
I’m not what they call a fan of Patrick, only seen Dirty dancing and Ghost and Roadhouse, In the Netherlands Patrick is not really a celeb, although when Dancing queen, a show in holland, heard about his illness they tributed one of their shows completly to him.
I know Patrick is fighting a battle, almost no one wins. He is in my prayers. Hoping he will pull through. Sending him a lotus. He will know why.
I AM so sad.
