OlderPatrick Swayze Has Terminal Cancer
Patrick Swayze has terminal cancer and only has five weeks to live, reports The National Enquirer.
The 55-year-old Dirty Dancing actor was diagnosed in late January with pancreatic cancer that has spread to other organs. Swayze has been receiving treatment at Stanford University’s cancer center in Palo Alto for radical chemotherapy.
“He was told he could have two more treatments, but his cancer was not responding. In short - they held out little hope for a cure,” said an insider.
The NY Post has confirmed the news with his publicist, saying, “He’s suffering from pancreatic cancer, which could tragically bring down the curtain on his remarkably diverse career… The average life expectancy is six to nine months, with only 4 percent of patients living more than five years.”
Pray for a miracle!!
UPDATE: Swayze’s doctor, Dr. Patrick George, tells People: “Patrick has a very limited amount of disease and he appears to be responding well to treatment thus far. All of the reports stating the time frame of his prognosis and his physical side effects are absolutely untrue. We are considerably more optimistic.”
Swayze’s rep adds: “Patrick is continuing his normal schedule during this time, which includes working on upcoming projects. The outpouring of support and concern he has already received from the public is deeply appreciated by Patrick and his family.”

Some one needs to advise Mr. Swazey to build his immune system - we all need to do that! Also there is an aloe vera powder out there that my mother & I take. She had cancer in both lungs, caught early, radiated and has been using Mannatech and is going into her 4th year of remission/cure in August. 2008. I take GlycoBalance - both are on the internet - good luck to him and his family!

Such sad news, Hope for a miracle. I have watched Dirty Dancing so many times and he is the reason.
i cant belive this is happing to him. hes such a great guy. i feel so bad for him and his family and friends.hes is always in my prayers and so is his family . god bless you patrick and your family and friends

God is your only hope. Please if you haven’t asked Jesus into your heart and ask for forgiveness of sins, please do so now. I pray that you are saved and have Jesus. If he is in your heart then whenever one does pass on you can go home to heaven and live eternally. You know in this day and age I just can’t believe we haven’t found a cure for this damn disease. I lost my mom a couple of years ago to cancer. I HATE CANCER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am praying for him, and yes this isn’t a reliable source. However, TMZ is.
My heart goes out to Patrick and his family. I have experienced Cancer in my family and twice myself. I know how it feels and I know how important Family and Friends are along with as many prayers they say in behalf of you, Patrick. I had Uterine cancer at the age of 23. Had a hysterectomy on my 24th birthday. Fortunately I had 2 beautiful children by then. Surgery was the answer to that problem. Then, in 2004 (at age 57) I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. After chemo therapy losing my hair and 7 weeks of radiation, I made a full recovery. I pray the same for you. Keep the faith and ALWAYS think positive; even when you’re not feeling positive. I will keep you in my prayers, Patrick, as my family and friends did. I truly believe you will be given the strength you need. Just have faith.
Patrick is a deserving human being and NOT deserving of this, so lets all pray for him and visualize him all well.
As a 3 time cancer survivor. I am praying for you and your family. I know that you are doing everything your doctors tell you to do. Patrick, I hope & pray that you beat this disease, like I did (3 different times) it can be done. And witht he positive attitude, I am sure you will smack this down, the way you smacked down in Roadhouse. You are in my prayers for a complete recovery.
Attitude: Heaven isn’t ready and Hell is afraid you will take over !!! Keep this attitude as I have and you will do great.

My Prayers are with him and his family. I know what they are going through because I lost my Husband of 32 years last November of pancreatic cancer. My heart goes out to his wife all I can say is reach out to God He will give you comfort if you seek it and dont blame God , for every thing there is a season. I was able to see Buddy “Patrick” when he was in high school. I would go to the Galleria and see him teach. He was such a good person. Even though we were not friends. We did share a lot of the same friends from Waltrip. I pray that he beats this. God Bless you Buddy.

so sad and sorry to hear of this its a terrible form of cancer its such an agressive type of cancer my prayers are with him and his family. knowing what they are going through as i lost my mother-in-law to the same cancer 10 months ago.
