Vanessa Hudgens Has “Will” Power

I simply cannot believe how Disney could introduce the new cast and concentrate on the originals at the same time.

In HSM Troy and Gabriella were in the focal point. It dealt with friendship and finding themselves. Taylor and Chad got minor roles, Taylor did not sing but Chad did in Stick To The Status Quo. And I think there was a balance between Sharpay/Ryan and Troyella scenes.

HSM2 was about love. Troyella fought for their feelings and ended up together. Sharpay got a major role as well because she needed to be the “separator”. But I also think it was too much! When I first watched the movie I realised that between You Are The Music In Me and I Don’t Dance there were no songs. In a musical! Gosh! I was so frustrated. All right, there were very cute Troyella moments but I think the 30-minutes long (!!!) “silence” was more about Sharpay. I do not understand why we needed those golf scenes to be soo long.Of course, there was a deleted scene (Humunuku…) that supposed to fulfill that silence but it was also a Sharpay moment!

So out of the 1 hour and 40 minutes we had approximately 40 minutes Troyella sightings including their common songs as well. The whole HSM2 was about Troy. I think Disney realised that teenagers love Zac Efron so they wrote a script that focused on him. Gabriella also had her moments (because she is a lead as well) but were deleted. (In the bloopers there is a scene when she is laughing hysterically in her room and a picture was also leaked when Taylor stands next to her in the same room. Taylor wears the “Talent show outfit” while Gabriella wears a pink top. If I am right that scene was supposed to be about Taylor and Gabriella’s heart-to-heart conversation about the show and her appearance. She should get her necklace back at the same time.)

In the Road To HSM2 there were also deleted Sharpay scenes! (She and Ryan spying Troyella and things like that.) That was really too much for me!

Kenny Ortega said that this movie will be about prom and separation. The students will organise a musical and sing about their feelings. He also said that new characters will be introduced. My only question is: how? Or how long will be this movie then? How can they focus on separation, the musical, the feelings of 10 but at least 6 people plus the newcomers?

Zac Efron said he would do the movie if the script was good. And he signed the contract but asked for more money. So there are two options for me: they movie will be good so he signed the contract but asked for more money beacuse he got a more major role (if that is possible). Or he signed the contract but asked for more money because he knew that this will not be a good movie at all so he needed some kind of compensation. (I do not think he asked for more money because he became more famous. He always says that he is very proud of Disney and will never forget that these movies helped him in his career. A lot. He seems to be a very loyal man who has a good head on his shoulders. But I cannot read his mind, sorry. If only I could…)

So I am not happy at all. And I also find it sad that Disney wants to go on with the story after HSM3. Of course, Disney never accepted that but why would they need new characters then? I have no other idea.

Sorry because of this post, my ideas were a bit random but I hope you can get what I mean. (I also hope I had not too many mistakes because I’m not a native English.)

Do I have a sense in my post? I hope so but I have to say I am not happy at all… (Maybe some Zanessa sightings would cheer me up so Zac and Vanessa I ask you to meet soon and let the paps do some pics. Really guys I need Zanessa therapy right know. Thank you in advance.)

G’Morning!! Looks like it was a quiet night! Although lala was brainstorming big time!! And you made good sense in your post, lala. The only think I will disagree about is that I think HSM 2 was about being true to yourself; that no matter what comes your way, you never stop being who you are. I think Troy learned that well, once Gabriella, Chad, and others showed him what was happening.

I think prom would be a good focal point, if that’s true. There is a lot that goes on before prom, and it is high school drama in a nutshell. And there is lots of music involved. But because of the huge impact these movies have made on young kids, I would love the issues of making college decisions and graduation to be there too. And of course, the value of hard work, with Gabriella as valedictorian…..I imagine the battle will be who the prom queen will be!

We have to keep in mind that these movies are light and can’t be too heavy and emotional. But I know the final scene will be for all of us, as well as the cast!!

It’s been a while since Vanessa’s been out and about. Wow, a lifetime by Hollywood standards. But that’s good for her. She incubates well. Can’t wait to see and hear more of her in her newer, more mature and confident self.

My thoughts on some of the previous posts… First off , Vanessa is not pregnant!!!!! If she is really as tiny as everyone says she is,then adding only a pound or two can really make a difference. She was going to pilates classes with Ashley and now she is busy filming. From what Bobby Bones said in his podcast, the guy who plays the DJ in the movie, there is a lot of sitting around and waiting to shoot scenes when filming. You already have makeup on and are dressed and ready to go if needed. It is not like you can go to a pilates class while waiting. Vanessa probably will drop any weight is has gained if any, when she returns home to recording her album , learning her lines for HSM3 and getting ready to leave for Utah. I would really hate to be her and have to worry every 5 mins. whether I gained or lost 5 lbs that month. We all do. It is natural. I’ll say it again, I think she looks fantastic. She looks healthy and happy. Not too thin and certainly not chubby or pregnant!! LEAVE THE GIRL ALONE ABOUT HER WEIGHT! This is how eating disorders get started!!

As far as HSM3 is concerned, I really believe it is too late in the game for anyone to change the script. Maybe the new characters will be introduced near the end to show how the show will continue on once the seniors graduate. I highly doubt they are going to pay Zac and Vanessa big bucks if they are not in the movie that much. I’m thinking they will have some scenes about Troy getting a scholarship to college and Gabriella is moving again and must decide to move with her family or go to Troy’s school. I’m sure their may be drama in the scenes leading up to the prom and who will be homecoming queen. Troy most certainly will be king. Just my thoughts on what may happen. I doubt the new characters will take up too much of the plot. All we can do is see. I do, however , agree with those that said Gabriella got cheated in HSM2. She was not really a main character like in HSM. It really was the Sharpay and Troy show. Hopefully, Gabriella will get more screen time this go around. She sure deserves it and I think the public wants to see more of her too. Just look at what a stir was caused when the rumor was going around that she might not be in it. All ..ell broke loose.
At any rate, we cannot change the script . I trust that Zac, and the others would not sign if the script wasn’t to their benefit. I’m really excited to see them all on the big screen and also anxious to see all the movies they have been in this year.

I guess we can all say we are speculating here!! The bottom line is, we just want to love it as much as we did HSM 1 & 2 !! I have heard in other cases, though, that sometimes scripts are changed during filming. And hey, if they don’t like the new characters scenes, they can always leave them on the editing floor .I think they’ll do what’s best. Like the hummu-hummu number. They didn’t think it worked, so they cut it out. We’ll just have to trust them.

But I’m with all you who want to keep the original characters only! “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it”……

Hey, I just want to know, did Vanessa and Zac brake up coz I havn’t seen them together for a long tim now and Zac doesn’t ware his ring anymore. Plus there’s the rumour of Zac being gay!
Btw it’s not him on the pic and it’s not even such a big deal if it is him coz it’s just a kiss on the cheeck. please let me know.

I guess they’re planning on introducing new characters, but giving ‘their’ movies an entirely new name? High School Musical: The Next Generation? Hahah, that would just be funny.

Ooooooh new thought: I wonder how Troy’s gonna ask Gabriella to prom? They should have kept the T necklace and have him give it back to her while he asked her.
Better yet, how Zeke will ask Sharpay? Maybe he’ll bake her an entire table full of pastries. Or pink cookies? lol

Just another thought on the house hunting:

I don’t know if you guys watched the Barbara Walters special with Miley Cyrus, but the house that she bought in LA is huge and her family lives with her (well, she is only 15) but anyways, she has a whole wing of the house, which in her case was pretty much half of the house, to herself. It even had its own front door, which her mom kept locked, lol. It was like she had her own house. Maybe that’s what V will do? Idn, just a thought.

Gabriella had a big part in the first High School musical because it was a focus on overcoming the demands and expectations of peer pressure to “stick to the status quo” among the different groups.

HSM2 was about the pros and cons of Troy giving into the temptations of having his dreams handed to him on a silver platter, and what it takes to put himself back on track.

IMO, not having Gabriella in the movie as much was meant to symbolize Troy losing sight of what mattered to him, just like blowing off his friends for practice. The more we did not see her with him, the more we saw that he was forgetting who he really was. It was not until she was gone from his life completely that he woke up to see what was going on.

And I believe Sharpay represented all the challenges high School can throw at a couple, so the reason she was in the movie more, was to represent the distractions that led Troy astray.

Just listen to the words of “Bet on it” to see what I mean.

Example: when he asks if you have ever pushed away the ones you love to get what you want, (ie gabby and his friends).

I hope you get the gist of what I am trying to say, but as I also said, it is just my opinion.

If you’ll remember at one time when she had her Kuiipo ring turned around, we all thought she had on a new ring with a tiny diamond cluster. Then in another view, we saw the beginning of the Kuiipo word. So, that must be whats on the back of the ring.
