It should be illegal to photograph the minor children of celebrities without their parents’ permission. It should be considered stalking and paps should get severe fines. If they persist, they should have their cameras confiscated. They should be licensed. There needs to be background checks done on them. If they yell things, it should be considered assault. The unacceptable behavior of the paps creates dangerous situations for minor children. Constant stalking and harrassment leaves permanent scars. There should be rules about how close they get to any celeb, too. And car chases should also be outlawed. They need rules. Enforceable rules. I have no problem with paps staking out the public sidewalk outside of restaurants and nightclubs and popular shopping spots. I have no problem with paps staking out the doorways of hotels, theaters and other public buildings. Those are fair game. But following people to their kids’ school, or favorite play spot, following parents who are on an outing with their kids is disgusting.

i can always count on the stuck in the 50s posters here to ***** about some little boy’s haircut or clothing choices. if you don’t like long hair on boys and striped red or pink pj’s, don’t put your kid in them. the internet doesn’t need celebrity kid fashion police, even self-appointed ones. get a flipping life, get on over to old navy and stock up on gender specific clothes for you kids. pull out the flowbee and give your boys a haircut. suck all the frigging creativity out of your kids and let everyone else’s alone.

Matthew needs to put his foot down, and stop Sarah from feminizing that boy. Other boys are gonna make fun of him, dressing like that. If they love their son, they woud stop it. It they want a girl, they should adopt one, and stop submitting their son to this girly look.

How many times do we need to see Matthew and his son on the sidewalks of New York? Boring.

the boy is in his pj. who cares about the color of the boy’s pj. it is only worn for sleeping. what matthew should have done is making sure his little boy does not leave the house in his pj.

Well said #16. Seriously, I can’t believe the comments people make about a little kid’s choice of attire to walk the dog in the morning. I can tell you I see a lot of adults in far worse attire doing that same duty. And I love #25’s scoldings on a situation he/she knows nothing about.

It looks like maybe James had just gotten up and wanted to go with his dad to walk the dog. Or maybe there was no one else home and the dog had to go out, so Matthew put a coat on his son and took him with him. Maybe James was late for school, so he finished his breakfast on the way. My kids have only done that a thousand times. Why should the Brodericks be any different? They are human first, then celebrities. All you righteous idiots out there should look at your own lives before you judge anyone else.

So what if Matthew has aged?? He’s 46 and he’s supposed to age just like the rest of us. Leave this family alone, they aren’t bothering anyone. If you don’t like them, then don’t go see their movies. Stop picking on their kid.

Why does this boy look like a GIRL ?? Long hair, wearing PINK ??? Most boys wouldn’t dare wear pink at almost 6 years old. Maybe Mom & Dad wanted a girl, perhaps ?
And why does James always look so poorly dressed ? His clothes are always too small and short. I wonder if they checked out the Thrift Stores ? Maybe they could afford clothes there for him that FIT !

Everyone is entitled to their opinions, good or bad, but I would like to say to some of you who are so defensive about what people say about this family: Stop saying nasty and abusive things to and about one another on these emails. Matthew Broderick, his wife and son are just human beings; they are no better to be put down than anyone else. I mean, if you or me walked down the street with our kids and someone criticized the way we dressed, do you think anyone would be rushing to our defense the way some of you rush to these people’s defense? Verrrrrrry doubtful. Hell, if Matthew does’nt like people putting down his family, he has a mouth; let him defend his own family.
