OlderHayden Panettiere: I Won’t Screw Up
Hayden Panettiere tells the April 2008 issue of Cosmopolitan that she won’t succumb to peer pressure and fall prey to drugs and alcohol.
“I think that people look at me as just another one of those girls who’s going to screw up, like ‘She’s going to get into drugs, and she’s going to get into the parties,’ ” the 18-year-old Heroes hottie says. “I have the occasional glass of champagne when I’m celebrating something, but generally, I don’t drink. I’m a pizza-and-a-movie girl.”
On accepting her body type: “I don’t have a model’s body. But I’m not one of those crazy girls who thinks that they’re fat. I’m okay with what I have. I can rock this body, you know?”
On staying quiet about her boyfriend, Heroes costar Milo Ventimiglia: “I need somebody who is very secure. In this business, I’m constantly standing next to gorgeous people. My job is to make out with [attractive] men. Like, hello, who wouldn’t be completely threatened by that? But at the end of the day, you have to realize that it’s just a job.”

I don’t mind her, but she is way too over-exposed at this point. We DON’T need to see her everywhere. It’ll get to the point where we hate her cause we’re sick of seeing her. Tone it down, Hayden. Less is more.
Giselle’s right…Hayden sounds like the young girl who thinks she’s a grown-up but really has no clue what life and adulthood have in store for her. She should just lay low for a while and try to build her resume as an actress and go to college to grow as a person. And date boys her own age. Just ICK to her and Milo!
I like Hayden and she is doing good and using her fame for causes she believes in. So unless she ever does start to get into drugs and all that stuff then there’s no need to hate on her.

You can tell that when she gets older she is gonna be over 200 pounds. You can see it in her chubby arms above the elbow.
She has never said she was perfect so I don’t see why some people act like she is and hold her to higher standards just because she is a celebrity. She obviously moved on from partying and never took it way too far like Britney, Paris or Lindsay have. And some comments here over exaggerate with just another couple in Hollywood that doesn’t talk about their relationship and keeps private. Seriously stop making up your own versions of other peoples lives.

Anytime a celebrity says on the record that they will never do this or that, they end up doing it. So Hayden, you just dug your own grave, congrats.

#40 She didn’t even mention Lindsay or Britney, I think they just mean younger people in general. What she has said about Britney is that she is rooting for her because she thinks the media built her up and just ripped her down, put every aspect of her life under a microscope and probably made 90% of the stuff up along the way. On Lindsay she has said she was at the same place with Lindsay for New Years and when it was midnight Lindsay took just one sip of champagne and that was it but the media over exaggerated and really tried to make it something bigger than it was.

#42. i know she didn’t mention britney or lindsay, in this article. what i ment to say is that she sometimes takes a shot at what they used to do(ie. partying, getting out of control) indireclty and makes it seem like “oh, i will never end up like them” saying it in a mean-spirited way. but she never talks about when paris went to jail and stuff, and says that it will never happen to her. its my opinion. and i agree with you, the media built them up just to see how much they could take.

She is definitely overexposed and her comments are going to come back to bite her someday, even if it’s not something as extreme as rehab. I don’t know why she’s putting her self on a miss perfect pedestal like that. There are other ways to get her point across.

Um, she only has champagne? I’m pretty sure the legal drinking age is 21….whatever happened to Hollywood stars. All we have is a bunch of wannabees who have little/no talent. The days of Grace Kelly, Audrey Hepburn, Deborah Kerr are long gone.
