OlderVanessa Hudgens is Emo
Vanessa Hudgens sits down with Entertainment Tonight to talk about her new teenage romance, Will.
The 19-year-old High School Musical star plays Sa5m (the “five” is silent), a teenage misfit caught up in her high-school’s battle of the bands.
“My look is definitely more dark than in High School Musical,” says Vanessa. “I play kind of the ‘emo, kept away from everybody else in her own world’ kinda girl. She wears a lot of black. She always has longsleeves with thumbs in them.”
Added Vanessa about her costar Gaelen Connell, who plays Will, “We do have a kiss scene–a very funny, awkward kiss scene.”
And Vanessa is glad she didn’t go through the drama a normal kid would get during their teenage years: “Honestly, I never went to high school. I was home schooled all my high school years. Part of me wants to wish that I did go to high school. I’m living my high school experiences through the movies I do–all of them seem to take place in high school. But missing all the drama is not a problem with me.”

I really am looking forward to this movie. I think it’s great that Vanessa is stepping out of her HSM character and trying something different. Something that’s a little more mature with a little more edge. I can’t wait to see how she does, and how she sounds. I’m sure she won’t disappoint.
I really can’t wait for this movie, just Vanessa’s excitement would have been enough o get me exited, you know, if I wasn’t so much already. They are all great, I love Lisa, all of her characters that I’ve seen so far have been great so that’s another thing that I’m looking forward to, I do also look forward to see the other actors in action.
And this whole ‘emo’ thing, I mean, really, is it really necessary to bash V for that, she only used it as a description to describe the girl she portraits, because ‘emo’ is something that most people know so it might help them get a hint of the character, that’s all.
And I really do think that Vanessa’s got talent, and I really think that as time pass by, she will be able to show it, just like Zac, and just like every other big Hollywood actor/actress out there. Think of it this way before you bash her, what were you doing at 19? Or maybe I should say, what will you be doing at 19? Probably not even half as much as Vanessa, so, my advise is to keep your mouth shut, because let’s face it, the only way that you would be able to bad talk her acting/singing/dancing ability is if you were better, and then it would only make you an even worst person. My point, be quiet, be quiet., and don’t try to deny it…
I am looking forward to this movie. I think that she is going to prove everyone wrong and show that she can act and sing. I am also looking forward HSM3 which I think the zanessa pictures will be on jj alot more. When does zac finish filmng? I am sure if he makes a stop her in Texas he will be albe to slip in and out without being noticed unless someone has a camera phone and takes a picture. I hope that they get some alone time before all the press start taking pictures of them.
As for his ring well I can say that my mom does not always wear her wedding ring to work but she does wear it on the weekends, and my parents will be married for 20 years come sept.

tommygirl- I totally agree with your comment about Vanessa having more talent than most in Hollywood. Seriously….not many can sing, dance, and act decently these days, like in old Hollywood. Long time ago, you had to do all three. Now, all you have to have is a pretty face and a body and you’ve got it made. Vanessa is at least working at all three, and she’s pretty good for a newcomer who’s 19!!!

And chickie, we don’t have to wait until after hsm is over. Its happening right now. As a matter of fact, it has already happened. She has made an album and is currently working I. A scone one which is highly anticipated by all of her fans. Shes in a movie. Right now. And its not calls high school musical. She was asked to sing in washington.and she did amazing. Especially the part where she was standing next to notable singers neyo and katherine McPhee. So I guess you are right, we are going to be waiting for after hsm3….when we can see her in even more movies and listen to her in songs that we love.

were did you read that she bought a house or see that rumor? I wonder how much Zac will be spending there if this is true. I wonder through how she had time to buy a house when she has been in Austin, Texas for so long? When does her movie end filming?
I actually saw the clip of this on ET tonight and they showed a little different part of what the website shows. It did mention a couple of things that I found interesting. It said “Will” would have a Winter 2009 release. I thought that seemed a little far off! Also, Vanessa said there would be 2 new characters in HSM 3. I was under the impression there would be more than 2 so I was glad to see there was only 2 new characters introduced.
