Isla Fisher: Confessions of a Bridesmaid?

Isla Fisher films scenes for her new romantic comedy Confessions of a Shopaholic in New York City on Monday.

Isla, 32, was dressed in a wild outfit (bridesmaid dress?), which consisted of a furry dalmation-print jacket, pink veil, and a layered pink, green, and blue skirt.

Confessions of a Shopaholic opens around Valentine’s Day 2009.

Here’s a synopsis for the movie, which is based on the Sophie Kinsella novel: A college grad lands a job as a financial journalist in New York City to support where she nurtures her shopping addiction and falls for a wealthy entrepreneur.

I like her, but so much for her wanting to take a few years off to look after her baby like she said in an interview just before the birth of her daughter…. I guess it is another celeb child with a nanny.

So it will take place in NY?? Heloo producers, Are we still talking about Becky Bloomwood? The most beautiful thing about the whole concept is the “britishness” of the story. The story line and sense of humour is all english. Hmmm I was disappointed to know that Isla is doing Becky (although i loved her in Home and Away) but the rest of the Cast doesn’t look promising either, I mean Luke… He is masculine and Hmph.. but apparently not in the movie. Actually I imagined him as a younger version of Big from sex and the city, without the Italian Origin. So I guess for us the books fans, we will not relate much to the movie!

I’ve read every one of the books and enjoyed them..was so excited for the movie. You know who would have been perfect for Becky IMO? The girl who played the lesbian hottie in Bridget Jones II..and it should have been set in London..grrrr.
