Pregnant Angelina Jolie is Flying High
Adrenaline junkie Angelina Jolie boards a private plane on the tarmac of an air field in Smithville, Texas on Tuesday.
Her son Maddox, 6, supposedly joined Angie on a little joy fly in their single-engine plane.
“I love the freedom of it,” Jolie, who has as pilot’s license, has said. “It’s the greatest feeling in the world.”

O’Reilly was discussing the ABC news article about Angelina and the spitzer stuff with two Psychologist. Bill says the article made him a bit queesy. He said something about it being good thing that she adopted three children along with Brad . He said several time when discussing this with two female psychologist that it is intrusive in her private live. The two female psychologist defending the article and Angelina’s past made her fair game to bring up the possibilty that the article raised. Bill brrought up that we all have done wrong things in our youth. He also mentioned that it is not right to pass judgements on someone you don’t know when it comes to things like this. Bill said that this was a good question to discuss, but defended Angelina citing that it is none of our business, intrusive , etc.

mara, flying an airplane is a mode of travel not a carnival ride. my father took my brother and me flying in a small plane all of the time when we were children and it is such a safe way to travel. as for maddox as a child of a pilot i can tell you that there is such a peace of mind knowing your parent is in the cockpit. you wouldn’t fault a parent for taking a child in a automobile and a plane is much safer.

My mother and dad were teachers in Alaska they both flew us kids everywhere plus they had to go to far places in Alaska to reach the indians and Eskimos .I remenber my mother flying when she was expecting a baby,you people in some parts of U.S. think woman cannot do nothing pregnant.You gals i guess maybe play helpless during pregnacy.The way i bet jenn aniston would have if she would of got pregnant by Brad thank god she didn’t or brad would still be paying in that useless marriage he had with jenn.

I watched O’Reilly and like some have mentioned, these two ‘experts’ are staples on TV, specifically Nancy Grace. It was interesting how the brunette ‘expert’ kept citing Angelina’s previous compulsive behaviors, but downplayed the fact that Angelina, herself, acknowledged them years ago. These ‘experts’ also attempted to say that since she’s a public figure, she’s fair game (ha!) and that their hope in discussing this is to help the viewers at home recognize the children compulsion in people they know personally (double ha!).
The brunette seemed to try to argue that the three adoptions happened too quickly; she framed it in the context of Angelina’s relationship with Brad versus examining the timeline between when Angelina first became a mother (almost 7 years ago) to now (Heidi Klum became a mother of three in less time). She was also snide when O’Reilly reiterated that the compulsive behavior, specifically with BBT, happened in the past; she said it wasn’t that long ago.
It’s interesting that these two experts didn’t take into account that Angelina’s compulsive behavior happened in her teens and 20s and that Angelina is now in her 30s. They also failed to acknowledge the fact that becoming a mother stopped the self-destructive behavior. They also failed to acknowledge the possibility that her mother’s illness and subsequent death may have assisted in her maturity and that with maturity, came clarity. They also failed to acknowledge that, unlike BBT, who acted like a partner in crime, Angelina is with a man who is her partner and is equally responsible for the children. There were no acknowledgement of the efforts that these two make to give all of their children individual time. Why? Because they don’t have definitive proof of this fact, but they went on even less proof to determine that she’s doing the wrong thing.
O’Reilly gave these women a hard time, but he won them over when he talked about that NY governor.

OT This is a little off topic, but Secret but true I lived in Anchorage for 14yrs. I had a job with a long distance carrier and had to fly out to the bush to train the hotels and inns that used our service. That was an interesting job especially when I flew in those little four and eight seater planes. Did you know that Alaska is the small plane capital of the US? Or it use to be when I was there. You know individuals like your parents owned planes, hunters and guides and services that provided services for companies like the one I worked for. Peace

Did you notice that on Billo that when they did that quiz game about different people whose name came up? Right, Jen, being related to Tally Savlas. I think he was her godfather. Why is it when ever Angie’s name is mentioned, the X name is not too far behind. When be so glad when this stops.
As for Angie flying, I am sure she has checked out if it safe for her to fly. Whoever leased the plane to her ,I’m sure that the safety was taken into account. We have not heard the end of this. This is why Angie and Brad try to do things with their family away from eyes of the papz.
Angie likes skirts. She must like the freedom and how unrestriction of skirts. She has worn long skirts even when she’s not preggy.
I just hate how people make comments about Angie and agree with Billo, how can one judge someone they do not know. Based upon some crazy things done during her youth. This is the same crap she put up with in high school. She was seen as an outside because she did not conform to the majority. That is what I love about her, she is her own person and will always do her own thing.
As for the children, she loves each child and gives each one their individual attention which is a lot more then what many parents give their children. The children are happy and loved! As Brad said they say good night to each child individually like his mom did when he was young. Angie and Brad are providing a beautiful life and plenty of love to their family.

I agree about the safety of planes. I used to be a flight attendant. No one can imagine what a pilot has to through to get to fly. The fear for a crew comes when they land, have to get on the road, and drive to get home.

Many flight attendants flew until a week before delivery when I was flying six years ago. I flew with them. Being pregnant is not a reason to declare a disability unless there is a problem with the pregnancy itself.

..I have 2 firesign daughter’s but they are aries and sag. The aries is the youngest and her bd is the 28th mar.which is the day after you.
The eldest is dec 16th so is a sag and those two fire sunsigns (aries and sag) get along pretty good.. Also i am a sag (nov28th) only cancelled all birthdays a few yrs ago. My son was the taurus
so not much fighting going on at my place when they were growing up. Good thing b/c when i was a kid we wern’t allowed to fight in the house so kind of got use to that and that would have drove me bonkers.

justjazz, thank you for your hugs and kind thoughts. yes my dad is sleeping almost all of the time which is better for him because of the pain and the breathing problems. the kindness everyone here extends to me is so uplifting and i tell him about the sweet thoughts and prayers coming his way. he has so many friends and so many people love him and i believe all of the prayer and good will are making this very sad time more manageable.

Secret but true, we built a three story log house on an acre and a half in Anchorage. I cleared some land on one side of the house and planted a vegetable garden. I grew broccoli, cabbage, brussel sprouts, and peas. I even entered one of my cabbages in the county fair. You know with almost 20 hours of sun from May til July veggies grew to be gigantic in size.I would plant my garden in May and as soon as they began to grow the d*mn moose would come with their babies. I had a bucket of rocks on the deck that I had collected for the sole purpose of throwing at the moose. We had two dogs, a cocker spaniel, and a dachshund. Not your typical Alaskan dogs. We would beat them off,. But they would wait until they grew larger then they would return. After several years I grew tired of fighting them and just let them have at it. Angie has been flying in LA since they moved back there from NYC last October. She’s getting her hours in like she did in 2005 prior to Shiloh’s birth since she did not fly for several months before and after Shiloh’s birth.
The paps took few pixs of Brad and Angie in LA for months other than Angie filming outdoor scenes for Changling or red carpets and a few dinner dates as they had Britney and others to chase after. The kids were not even seen for months until the family’s Mammoth Mountain ski trip last month.
Glad to see these blurry pixs were taken from a distance and not up close.

I just watched BillO and I must say begrudgingly, because I don’t normaly like him, he handled these two silly broads with the dismissive attitude they deserved. Even when they tried to bring up Angie’s past he said that was a long time ago and we all did things when we were young. IMHO he made them look like the jealous hating hags they were. If all they have to do in life is concern themselves with how many children Brad and Angie adopt their degrees must not have gotten them to far. I would be embarrassed to go on tv and have someone, anyone, and especially Billo make me look foolish. ABC should bury their heads in sand. Even BillO says he respect Brad and Angie for adopting these children. I don’t know his motives. A coach of mine rode horses until a week before she delivered big full-term baby. A family friend who is a cardiothoracic surgeon fit in lots of major procedures up until her 8th month. Pregnancy is not disability in of itself.

I think Fox wanted to slam Jolie a few years back (and still does when it suits them) but when I read the transcript of the O’Reilly conversation with Jon Voight I got a sense of surprise by him over what Fox uncovered about Angie from their research. He said she really does walk the talk. It’s a double edged sword because how then do you pretend you don’t know the truth? I bet part of him is angry because he would love to join in the hate fest and see her as another ‘liberal hypocrite’, but then he would have to confront his own hypocrisy.

Oh you just woke up from a 20 year sleep. Yeah women do that in the 21st century. This young lady is Angelina Jolie, a mother, humanitarian, actress, pilot and author. She started flying planes to make food distribution runs during her humantiarian trips. Some places are so remote that you can only reach them by plane. She enjoys this skill and has continued to fly all the time she was pregnant with her second daughter Shiloh. So excuse us if we, the fans are very blase about it all because it’s nothing new.

When I lived in Germany I would go on long drives along the Rhine River and look at the castles whenever the pressures of the world were too much to take. Angie flies her plane to get away. It’s her therapy.

This is exactly why Angie said that Brad was more man than any man she had ever met/known. He is secure in who he is and that inner security and strength enables him to be the man whom Angie loves and trusts.
Remember when he was asked at the NYC premiere of AMH how it felt and was to be Angie’s boss, and he laughed and said “Angie has no boss”. He knows her well and loves and supports her totally.
Angie spoke the truth when she said that they began their relationship based on faith in each other that each would be what they hoped they would be, and that that faith has proven to be true.
In a way they have a most traditional relationship, Brad is the man and the Dad, Angie is the woman and the Mom, and the Mom and the kids know that they can depend on the Dad to take care of them, to protect them, to enfold them in love.

Now let me borrow that line to answer those haters, THIS IS NOT ANGIE’s FIRST TIME pertaining to pregnancy, likewise to flying. Angie is an intelligent woman. She is not known to be stupid. I’m sure she has already consulted her doctor or Brad etc about the activities she can do & not do and have already considered certain factors. She is a healthy pregnant woman. She’s not sick or disabled. Certainly, she is not dumb to engage in strenuous activities that would endanger her pregnancy or put her unborn child in jeopardy. About flying her plane, she is competent since she is a UK & US licenced pilot. I am always impressed with her. She gives inspiration to what she does. SHE GIVES A NEW MEANING OR PERSPECTIVE TO PREGNANT WOMEN, that being pregnant doesn’t stop you from doing what you want to do, as long as you do it responsibly & you know your limitations.

O’Reilly was discussing the ABC news article about Angelina and the spitzer stuff with two Psychologist. Bill says the article made him a bit queesy. He said something about it being good thing that she adopted three children along with Brad . He said several time when discussing this with two female psychologist that it is intrusive in her private live. The two female psychologist defending the article and Angelina’s past made her fair game to bring up the possibilty that the article raised. Bill brrought up that we all have done wrong things in our youth. He also mentioned that it is not right to pass judgements on someone you don’t know when it comes to things like this. Bill said that this was a good question to discuss, but defended Angelina citing that it is none of our business, intrusive , etc.

Bill O’Reilly defending Angelina? In this instance I put it down to self-preservation. Hasn’t he had at least one sexual harrassment lawsuit filed against him by a former employee? Anybody else think that maybe Mad is getting some extra attention from Angie and Brad as Angie’s pregnancy becomes more visible and he is of an age to be aware of the new baby on the way? When she was pregnant with Shiloh Angie said that he thought she was just getting fat , and she sat and showed him the unltrasound/scan and told him about the baby, but he was just 4 and it had to be somewhat abstract to him.
But now he is 6+ and very smart and understands that a new sibling is on the way like Shiloh was in a very concrete way. He has to have asked questions about the whole baby process of Angie and Brad.
Pax and Z are on the mommie is getting fat train, and Shiloh at 21 months might notice that something is in her way when mommie is holding her, but those three have not made the connections that Mad has to have made at this point.
Anyone have any experience with this?

I am so gladto hear your dad is resting comfortably due to the morphine level. That you have your talks with him . You are so thoughtful and sweet to everybody who gives you words of kindness. Vick you sound alot like your dad when reading between the lines. Being the strong one for everybody else. i am sure your dad knows this about you and is and always has been very proud of the stand you have taken. The long road is a tough road. at times like this.

I thought about those words and how can i be selfish at a time like this, This women was /is so wise but this didn’t make sense at first ..
Be good to you was her saying but i never heard her express it in this way telling me to be selfish at a time when my loved ones needed me. more than ever. . But as i told her in the end i would keep it in mind and maybe later. She said.. don’t wait to long again i promise you that you will not be sorry. i have to say she left me kind of baffled.
I soon started to feel drained and remembered what she said about later you won’t care or worry about any of this being selfish . if anything you will be so glad you did.
At the time i didn’t even know what would make me feel good accept for wanting what was beyond my control.
One day I looked in the mirror and saw a tired face with not a smile to be found. so without even thinking things thru i picked up the phone went thru the yellow pages and made an appointment at a spa. Something i never did before. I also got my hair colored and styled and last i bought a new outfit and some things i had needed for a long time. I bought a book i had always wanted about finding peace in my life and some other little things that would only matter to me.
I couldn’t afford to be doing what i did at that time so it was charged to my visa. It wasn’t a drastic change but something inside of me did make me feel good about me . It was so cathartic at the time i was actually amazed at how very psychotherapeutic it felt at a gloomy time. and i would not let guilt or the thought of selfisness slide in as my friend warned me it would but to ignore it. I just kept remembering her words ..You won’t be sorry later.
Hon i am going to ask you to do the same whatever makes you feel better makes you feel good about you right now or if not right now when the day comes when you feel drained . That was just my way .I have no idea what would be your way of feeling good about YOU..Spoling YOU… Not your kids. Not your Mom but YOU.
pls think about it and when that time comes pls again do it for YOU. Be very good to you. and let the feel good feeling own you.
In the meantime we here at JJ’s who think about you often will continue to keep the prayers in numbers sent your way

I will never understand why people are so hypocritical and stupid. Obviously if she couldn’t fly or couldn’t reach the controls to do so she wouldn’t be in the plane. When Brad and Angelina fly solo or with one child they take commercial flights. When they fly with the entire family and their support (nannies, bodyguards, ect) they take a private plane. Why is it that Cate Blanchette and Jessica Alba can fly across oceans in their 3rd trimester for 10 hours and nobody bats an eye but Angelina flies in a small plane for an hour or 2 and people think she should be hospitalized?

I have sat down a few times trying to write this story but I couldn’t think of a title or direction. Was it to be ‘Life after Qantas NZ’, or ‘Do Babies and Flying Mix?’, or maybe ‘Having your cake and eating it too’. So I’ll just start at the beginning - a very brief story of my last year and a half…
August 2000 was the beginning. I had just started with (the then) Ansett NZ flying the Dash 8 and found out John and I were expecting our first baby. That was interesting times. 3 weeks of ground courses, 14 days in Sydney in the simulator (to make matters worse, my sim times were from 11pm till 3am - meaning getting back to the hotel at 4.30 in the morning). Not that flash when I was 11 weeks pregnant and sick! Fortunately when I returned from the sim and starting flying the real thing, my sickness started to subside.
As Qantas’ first ever pregnant pilot (believe it or not, even Qantas Australia has never had a pregnant pilot), I had to sort out myself what I needed in regards to uniform. They first offered me the flight attendants preggy dress! (The Dash has a 5 point harness and control column that comes up from the floor). I flew until I was 25 weeks pregnant and definitely showing. Then it was home to rest and have a baby. I got VERY large in the tummy department and very bored (being at home for 15 weeks with no baby and no work). Life was very blissful - until it happened… Not the baby - but Qantas NZ went under. John and I found ourselves unemployed bums!
6 days later Max decided today was the day (actually the doctors decided), and he was born with help from an induction then unplanned Caesar. I was very disappointed not to deliver naturally, but soon got over that with a bonny big boy weighing in at 9lb 4oz.
When Max was a week old, John had an interview with Air Nelson, and four weeks later found himself in Nelson on a Saab ground course. We sold our house in Wellington and moved to Nelson.
Max was about 7 months old when I decided I was almost ready to go back flying. I scored myself a permenant part-time job with Origin Pacific. I am now a Captain on the Jetstream 31 two or three days a week. Which is just fantastic. John has jumped ship, and is now a Jetstream 41 Captain with Origin. We have brought a lovely house in Nelson, and are very happy in the sunniest part in NZ.
Through all this chaos, I have found what really matters in life. I thought we had it made with Qantas, and was very disappointed when it collapsed. But our lives are better than ever. I now have the best of both worlds. Flying with great people, in a cool little aeroplane, all around the country, at home every night AND I spend lots of quality time with John and Max. I believe I have my cake and am enjoying eating it! In answer to my first question ‘babies and flying do mix very well’.
Being successful is not measured on the size of aeroplane you fly. It’s about balance, quality of life, and enjoying what you do. So whether you are circuit training in your Tomahawk or cruising across the Pacific at Mach .85 in your Jumbo make sure you enjoy it. Then, go home and hug your family.

She is getting out of the back seat. There are no pictures of her flying the plane and no pics of Mad at all. Don’t know if this story is totally true. Never know, she may have been flown to some place are taken up for a spin to get some fresh air and relax. We will not know the real story due to the tabs adding to all their stories. Oh, geez, all this fake concern for Angelina flying while pregnant … I wish that we had access to the old threads (before Jared’s site crashed) where she was preggers with Shiloh and she was actually flying. There were so many insightful, knowledgeable articles there about flying with doctor’s consent, how many months into pregnancy, etc. We could have just cut and paste those and save us the trouble of responding to these fakers.

Such self righteous indignation over a capable pregnant woman flying an aeroplane. The same people are probably the ones who criticized her for adopting from other countries. No matter what she does, they will always be the critics. Just as well the woman doesn’t live her to please other people. I don’t mind angie’s fans worrying about her, at least they care about her well being, it is those who do not even wish her well, and all of a sudden they care about her pregnancy. It must be the worst possible time to be an angelina hater. Everything seems to be linning up pretty well in her favour- she has got brad, she’s got his kids, people in power and respected journalists are finally taking her humanitarian work seriously, and she is actually looking serene like someone who has found her inner peace. I wish all these things for jen except for brad, cos she already had her shot with him.

I would like to give props to Angelina for keeping doing what she used to do even though she’s pregnant.BTW, pregnancy is not a disease, and you can basically go on performing the same tasks of your everyday life, as long those don’t include violent sports or heavy lifting…Not long ago, pregnant women worked the fields and factories from dusk ‘till dawn right up to the time to give birth and them would return to work!Ok, ok, there were a lot of child birth deaths, still-borns, spontaneous abortions, etc…but the human race is still here and this fact speaks volumes.These days we are more…aware…civilized, have medical assistance and knowledge enough to know that pregnancy is not a paralyzing condition. You can go on with your normal life and I’m sure Angelina is being followed by the best doctors money can buy.

She’s not doing anything risky. You’re more likely to get hit by a car crossing the street then to be pregnant and in a flying accident. It’s not like she’s up in high altitude. Those cirrus planes have huge parachutes that deploy in emergencies. Women have run marathons while pregnant. She’s pregnant not handicapped. It’s not like she went out and stole a plane LOL…she’s a licensed pilot that had ANOTHER licensed pilot with her. How is that putting him in danger? The plane could crash, but they could also get plowed into by a truck on the free way. For once, the dailymail observations may be correct. I know there were a couple of reports saying that Maddox was there but really, there is absolutely no proof that he is. However, I read something the other day that made me laugh in light of all the yammering that has been done about how traumatic moving the kids must be and how it will affect their future mental health. I recently finished two books by Linda Berry. They are cozy police procedurals with a feminist heroine and are very enjoyable. Her bio in one of the books explains that her father was in the oil business, and the family moved frequently. During a family storytelling session, it was concluded that she lived in 64 different places in 41 towns and attended 21 schools before graduating high school. She is married with two children. She has a B.A. in French and English with a minor in Education as well as a Masters in theater and English literature. She has had a very interesting career in addition to being a published author. Somehow I believe that she would agree that what is truly important is unity of the family not the location of the family. Peace.

The idea of private planes is so exotic and out of the realm of their experiences that they think their baseless criticisms would be taken seriously.

Reading is not your strength is it. She IS an inspiration to women EVERYWHERE. Maybe not every women but most definitely women EVERYWHERE. Her popularity and respect is world wide.
When you’re a little older you’ll learn to discriminate properly between inspiration and “like.” I don’t like Martha Stewart particularly as a person but I do respect all she has accomplished and how hard she works so she certainly inspires me. Having to “like” everyone to learn from them or respect them is a rather juvenile concept.

..I have 2 firesign daughter’s but they are aries and sag. The aries is the youngest and her bd is the 28th mar.which is the day after you.
The eldest is dec 16th so is a sag and those two fire sunsigns (aries and sag) get along pretty good.. Also i am a sag (nov28th) only cancelled all birthdays a few yrs ago. My son was the taurus
so not much fighting going on at my place when they were growing up. Good thing b/c when i was a kid we wern’t allowed to fight in the house so kind of got use to that and that would have drove me bonkers.

I’m not even sure anymore it has anything to do with Brad. Or his ex-wife. It’s about these psychologically damaged females who now have the outlet - an anonymous outlet - to give vent to their most base and primitive feelings of rage, envy, frustration, impotence at a woman who seems to be what they can never be. Females like this have always existed. They just used to be confined to their immediate worlds to try to destroy other women they envied or feared. The Jolie envy and bitterness seems to be particularly fueled by some females who have either deliberately abandoned motherhood for less than admirable reasons or who are themselves infertile.
You’ll also find at the kooky sites posters with a history of spewing bilge who eventually reveal that they or their family have a history of mental illness and/or they are plastic surgery addicts. No wonder they have such a hard time with Angelina. When you are still dealing with the burden of mental issues yourself or with relatives or when you feel the need for boob jobs, it must be just awful to see Angelina naturally gorgeous and successfully grown out of her past demons. There are plenty of people with plastic surgery or dealing with problems of mental illness but it often enhances their compassion and understanding for the weaknesses or smple differences of others rather than bring out the worst in them. They are really rather pitiable because they try so hard to seem normal and like they are only “concerned.”
Sorry to go on about these women. I kow they should be ignored. But they are very much like the misogynist Salem witch hunters. In the light of the misogyny I am witnessing in the current campaign it just makes it more obvious that women still have so much to overcome to be considered and treated equally.

Thank you for those kind words vicki and xenia. My parents both died a long time ago and my sister in 2003. In fact, my mom’s 20th anniversary is coming up and it just doesn’t seem possible that she’s been gone that long - or fair. She deserved a much longer life. But I live my life trying my best to live up to and carry on her ideals and be as giving and loving a person as she was. I will never be that good but I try.
My mom would have loved Angelina. She was very astute at looking through the surface and sizing up people. She would have seen the good and wounded heart that Angelina is. She would have admired her survival and triumph in embracing life in its fullest. She especially would have appreciated the realities of a neglectful parent and, in her wisdom, she would have understood perfectly Angelina’s exasperation and willingness to let go of a parent who keeps repeating himself.
I am loving that Angelina seems to be making the most of her life and taking advantage of every minute she lives. We never know how long we have.
Whoa. Enough of that. Too serious. Back to enjoying pics and calling out the trolls and mourning the Spitzer that could have been. The good that man could have continued to do is just too depressing to contemplate.

It’s called being the oldest. But with those things also comes the pain of having to let the younger ones have their way. Let the little ones hug on mom and dad are the time. Not being able to hit the younger ones back when they started the fight.
