OlderJulianne Moore Spits at Spitzer
Hell hath no fury…
Julianne Moore hosts the TSE Flagship Store opening on Tuesday in New York City and gives some choice words for New York Governor Eliot Spitzer according to People.
Julianne, 47, was once a supporter of the former attorney general and current (soon to be ex) Governor but has since turned her back since allegations of involvement in a prostitution ring arose on Monday.
Julianne fumed, “I’m really pissed. I honestly don’t care where or how people have sex, or with whom, but prostitution is illegal. For someone who’s got such a reputation for having a real attitude towards crime, you have to walk the walk. I’m sorry.”
Always the funny man, Stephen Colbert of Comedy Central’s Colbert Report chimed in, “I sat next to the guy three times and I didn’t pick up on any of this, and I usually have excellent whore-dar.”
Amidst public and political pressure, Gov. Spitzer resigned from office Wednesday morning. “To every New Yorker and to all those who believed in what I tried to stand for, I sincerely apologize,” he said. “There is much to be done, and I cannot allow for my private failings to disrupt the people’s work.”

What is most repulsive regarding the Spitzer scandal is the man’s hubris. He was caught by the same banking software he used to catch other law-breakers and he insisted as governor, that the banking industry keep up their scrutiny of money transfers so they could keep catching the “bad” guys. He knew exactly how the software worked and yet he blythly allowed himself to fall into the same net as other law breakers. The stupidity alone is mind boggling Some have said he almost seems to have wanted to be caught and have his career destroyed not to mention his family.
If I were a New York voter, I’d be looking for a rope for this guy. Good for Julianne for speaking her mind.

i am shocked that everyone is upset about this guy cheating on his wife esp hollywood. usually guys that cheat on their wives our worshiped (check out Brad and Angie thread) or is it only ok for actors and not guys in politics?
