Natalie Portman: New York, I Love You!!!
Natalie Portman films scenes alongside a Hasidic Jew for the new anthology film, New York, I Love You, at The Brooklyn Bridge in New York City on Wednesday.
No word yet on how closeley Natalie will be working again with Scarlett Johansson (they were most recently costars in The Other Boleyn Girl) on this film. Scarlett was, however, most recently in Brooklyn’s Coney Island filming New York, I Love You as a director.
Natalie reportedly plays the role of a Jewish bride. She joins other established actors such as Elijah Wood, Nick Nolte and Kevin Bacon in a set of several love stories set in NYC.

You guys, don’t be naive, of course she is wearing makeup here. There is no such thing as NO makeup in films. In fact she’s probably wearing tons, it’s just made to look very natural because obviously her character is an Orthodox woman who wouldn’t be wearing it. But they ALWAYS put people in makeup for the movies. Anyway, I agree that she doesn’t look all that great here. She’s much prettier glammed out.

I know abe from yeshiva .He was always a confused kid and had very mixed feelings about his religion. He got married (not his choice)with a very orthodox girl and removed his white stockings just after his marriage. He of course does not realize what he got homself into but he will outgrow it after this movie shot. He is not rebelious against his upbringing just a bit hungry for some extra cash which he is struggling to feed his family. The community has more shocking headline stories where people betrayed their wives and community.Let him grow up and be part of our great community.

At first I thought, too bad he gave up his chance to make money in acting, but then I thought, he already has what most people want, a wife, kids, a caring community. Gosh, too bad he offended the community.
I looked at the nude pictures of Natalie and I thought, too bad a nice Jewish girl came from Israel and does that stuff. She should go join the hasids if they’ll have her, and have a life. Not a perfect life, naturally, but a better one than showing off your butt and your underwear for money.

To all naive Hasidim posting here. He may have made a mistake by going against his communities standards by taking a small role in a small insignificant film, but its clear he did it because he had a passion for it. Its also clear that he backed out only because of the uproar and pressure from his community.
Unfortunately his brainwashed community cannot express their passion for anything that is outside there small and enclosed bubble/enclave.
But whom are they kidding, you always see many young hasidim in Movie Theaters, Bars, Massage parlors and even Strip clubs in the City.
Obviously the younger crowds are more enlightened than their parents in this information age.
This guy went even a step further and I guess his community is not ready for it, but since it happened once its probably right around the corner, many more are probably a few short years away.

I know this guy very well he is a very down to earth but let me tell you this the only problem with this whole scandel is that nobody is doing it in the name of god and im talking about most of the rabbis that gave him hell the past few days and for all the ploshers that goes to you to. They were filming New York, I Love You!!! on West 23rd Street in NYC– I asked one of the crew(nicely) who was inside the trailer and she quietyl said, “Morgan Freeman”. So I guess “always nice” Morgan is in this film.
who isn’t in this movie? they probably chose people who already workedd together and had good chemistry, but all of yous should check out rachel bilson as a blonde in his movie its fugly (sorry rachel bilson fans :(. )
