She’s not that big. My mother gain most of her pregnancy kilos during the first months with my sister (she is eldest). On the photos she just looked BIG. Angelina’s not even as big as she was. These dresses are very tent-like! No evidence of her being expecting twins. Every pregnancy is different. I hope the best for them, they look like loving family!

Maybe he was misbehaving and his punishment was to sit out this activity. I have a sister that spent many an activity sitting at home because of bad behavior. To this day, she’s still the trouble maker in the family. Perhaps he’s ill. Or maybe it was his turn to be on set with his dad. Don’t just assume she hates her kid because he’s not on this outing. There could be any number of reasons for his absence. It could be that he just didn’t want to come.

I hate to break the news to her, but it’s doubtful that Brad and Angie read all their fan mail. Most likely, they hire someone to go through it all. They just don’t have the time to read hundreds of letters. Plus, I’m sure someone weeds out the crazies before handing them the day’s mail.

I do not think it is right to post their address or allegeded adresss out. Most stars have fan addresses to send fan mail. The last think the JP’s or any star needs is to have people on the internet to know were they live. While most will leave them alone. a few might become stalkers or bother them at home with mail. To me it is a safety or security issue.

Marie Gray, co-founder of St. John, was in Seattle Wednesday.
Over the past three years, any mention of luxury brand St. John usually invoked some sort of discussion about celebrity spokeswoman Angelina Jolie.

When we had the opportunity to sit down with St. John co-founder Marie Gray on Wednesday, we had no intention of being the exception.

Gray was in Seattle for the annual Nordstrom and Seattle Repertory Organization Fashion Ovation, which took place Wednesday at The Paramount Theatre and included a fashion show featuring St. John’s spring collection, a mix of classic knit suits, bright colors and flirty cocktail dresses.

Gray graciously fielded our questions, as did St. John CEO Glenn McMahon.

Q: Actress Angelina Jolie has a particular fashion appeal. Do you feel your core customer responded to her ad campaign?

Glenn McMahon: In the beginning, they thought it was a little disingenuous, to be honest. But I think Angelina grew a lot during the three years we worked with her, so people began to see the association made more sense.

This spring was the last season. We’ll return to using models. We really want to invest in building the brand and not pushing the celebrity.

Q: St. John always has been known for classic knitwear, suits that fit well and travel well. Then you brought in this younger perspective with the Angelina Jolie campaign. Where do you see your customer now?

Marie Gray: It’s interesting you say Angelina. I had a young point of view pushing me from a long time ago, and that was (daughter) Kelly. She was, of course, of a different generation. We always had that youthful element, but perhaps didn’t get a lot of credit for it.

Q: People seemed to think the collection changed the past few years, moving away from classic pieces to edgier design. What’s your perspective?

MG: Perhaps it had lost its way for a couple of seasons. I believe that today it’s very much on track.

Q: What happened with the line?

GM: We listened to the market, and people said: “You have to be younger, you have to be more modern.” Instead of listening to our customer, we listened to some of the retailers. The big miss was really in the fit. In 2006, we made the armholes higher, and they were smaller. The customer put on the jacket, and she didn’t have the flexibility or mobility. We heard from the customer loud and clear that she wanted ease and comfort.

MG: We toyed with the fit; the colors got a little muddy. I’m particularly fond of clear colors that really help the skin tones.

Q: But has the St. John customer changed and started to skew a little younger?

GM: For us, it doesn’t really matter how old the customer is, if she’s 30 or she’s 60. It’s just the need to address her lifestyle from the boardroom to the White House to the soccer field. We often get pigeonholed for doing just a great knit suit too, but the collection is really much broader than that.

Q: Women in politics are pretty fond of St. John. What do you think of Sen. Hillary Clinton’s campaign style so far?

MG: She has a great style that’s good for her. On the campaign trail, it’s a very difficult thing to stay fresh and fashionable. I think she pulls it off very well.

GM: But we’re fortunate, we don’t take sides. Cindy McCain (wife of presumptive Republican presidential nominee Sen. John McCain) is a big fan. I don’t know if Michelle Obama has worn anything.

ROME (AP) — George Clooney’s humanitarian organization has donated $500,000 to a U.N. food aid agency to help it continue flights in Sudan’s troubled Darfur region, the agency said Thursday.

The Rome-based World Food Program said that the money came from Not On Our Watch, founded by Clooney and other stars — including Brad Pitt and Matt Damon — to press concerns about Darfur. The group has raised more than $9.3 million for the region.

Earlier this week, the World Food Program warned that lack of funds this year would force a halt to the flights ferrying urgently needed supplies in the region at the end of March.

“This is a critical time for the program. Without immediate additional funding, humanitarian aid in the region will be crippled,” Clooney was quoted as saying in a U.N. statement.

Over the past year, the World Food Program has been feeding between 2 and 3.2 million people in Darfur. The number of people in need could double with the May-October rainy season, the agency said.

“This contribution will make a difference to the millions of vulnerable women and children trapped there, and we hope it will inspire other donations,” WFP’s Executive Director Josette Sheeran said.

Why are these pictures so blurry (and other recent BAMPZS ones have been aswell)? They must have been taken under really sketchy conditions… and I think if that’s the case, the paps should leave this family alone instead of stalking them in the bushes, especially when the little kids are there.

I think it has to do with the fact that Zee was the first girl on the scene and she owned Brad’s ass. Everthing was all about her and you could tell from her photos that she had personality and was spoilt. Shiloh has so far not shown the definite personality of Zee. She doesn’t act like she owns the space around her like Zee does. Sometimes from Zee’s expresssions when she looks at the paparazz,i you would think she is royalty looking down on her subjects and at other times, especially when she is with Brad she is a spoilt princess.

I really can’t understand all the fuss over “princess” Z. Bottom line (IMHO) is that she is a just spoilt brat. I don’t care for spoilt brats. They usually grow up to be spoilt adults. Brad has created a monster. She will probably be jealous of the new baby/s especially if it’s another girl and will be even more demanding of Brad’s attention.

Shiloh is so beautiful. Not just beautiful looking but she has a beautiful demeanor as well. As Angie herself said, “she’s so full of light and love” or words to that effect.

I think Pax is fantastic….full of sunshine, always smiling and laughing and embracing life.

Maddox….I’m neutral about him.

Before people jump on my head….I just want to say that just because I’m a fan of Brangelina doesn’t mean I have to adore and worship each of their children. I just seee Z for what she is and I don’t warm to her, that’s all.

None of us know any of the kids first hand. We only know them from a few photos over the years . That does not give us any rights to criticize them or act like we know how they are or what their personality is most of the time. Just like when we get upset at so called experts for analyzing the JP’s that they have never met, we should be careful of doing the same thing when passing judgments on the kids and their personality as we see it which may or may not be right.

They call princess zahara to zahara because it’s their favorite. The majority here is black so they identify more with zahara. If you go to others blogs no one calls her that. For the media and public Shiloh and Suri are the americans princess. More Shiloh if you considered the media frenzy. Zahara will have a normal life when she grow up but Shiloh will have to live with the papz and the media and public interesting focus on her. If you look to the pics with all the family you will see that the papz take more pics of Shiloh, more close up than the others kids.

Mama-rama: Parenthood gets unfair scrutiny

I recently read an article on ABCNEWS.com claiming that Angelina Jolie, who by all visual evidence will soon be celebrating the birth of her fifth child (second biological), is a “compulsive mother,” driven to parenthood as a way to self-medicate and escape her “inner emptiness.”

“Mother Earth” types like Jolie and Mia Farrow (who has 14 children, some of whom are adopted), the story claimed, are often just hiding deep depression and feelings of emptiness behind domesticity and child-rearing. The implication? Having kids isn’t “real life,” it’s just a way to escape from it for a while.

After puzzling over that logic for a while, I was treated to yet another anti-breeding viewpoint: an article in Reason Magazine, by “voluntarily child-free” writer Ronald Bailey, suggests that the reason people no longer tend to have lots of kids (or in many cases, any kids at all) is that child-rearing is a grisly chore, and people don’t like children.

The article quotes psychologist and “happiness researcher” Daniel Gilbert, whose research shows that people “derive more satisfaction from eating, exercising, shopping, napping or watching television than taking care of their kids,” and that taking care of children is seen to be only marginally more pleasant than doing housework.

Not only are most parents miserable, asserts the article, but we lie about it, too: “Gilbert suggests that people claim their kids are their chief source of happiness largely because it’s what they are expected to say.”

I have no doubt that there are parents who reflexively rank parenthood as their No. 1 joy in life because they think they’re supposed to. On the other hand, there’s a big difference between finding happiness in parenting and finding happiness in every minute of every day spent caring for kids. Parenthood can be intense and exhausting, hilarious and tedious, all in the same day; and 1-year-olds don’t always make the best conversationalists. But the satisfaction of parenthood isn’t something you can take apart, rating each little task to come up with an average “happiness score.” Like all relationships, raising kids is too complex for that.

So why do we question the motives surrounding the decision to have children (or not) with so much more skepticism than we do other decisions? If a celebrity had a large circle of friends, no armchair psychologist would bother to question whether she was trying to “fill a void” with companionship. It would instead be accepted that creating relationships with other human beings is a normal, natural and human desire. On the other hand, I’m getting the feeling that these people wouldn’t believe me if I told them I genuinely enjoy my children … most of the time.

Sure, some days I might rate taking a nap or watching a favorite TV show higher on the satisfaction-o-meter than changing a diaper or even pushing a swing (for the 18 zillionth time). But at some point, a life of nothing but “satisfying activities” could get pretty boring. I believe that most people, whether they have or want kids or not, are looking for something more substantial.

The point of having children isn’t just to make yourself happy, though our “me” culture certainly tries to tell us so. Fulfillment comes from adding value to the world we live in and learning about giving, self-sacrifice and putting another person’s needs above our own. There are lots of ways to give back to the world, and I don’t mind at all if somebody chooses not to have kids. But please don’t find me naïve if I assert that having children has added much more to my life than it’s taken away.

Finding fulfillment as a mom - even a mom of many - doesn’t mean I’m compulsive, avoiding life, trying to re-define myself, seeking attention, mentally ill or one-dimensional. It simply means I love my kids, even on the days I don’t like all the work that comes along with them, and I find that having them in my life is rewarding.

A lot more rewarding than a lifetime full of nothing but naps and television, anyway.

I live in Austin and work in Bastrop. Last 2 weeks ago, my coworker saw Jolie at HEB!.. (HEB is a grocery store.) . he said that she was very petite and small bone. She was with her body guard. No one seems to bother them much.

When I read this article several things went through my mind. Shiloh is a priveledged child, that is true but that is no more her fault than it is that her hair is blonde. She had no say in the family she was born into and I can’t believe for one moment, that the other kids in that family aren’t equally as priveledged.

Jolie Spies New Flick
Actress eyes action thriller.

December 5, 2007 - Angelina Jolie may play a spy on the big screen once again, but this time she won’t be spouting off sassy one-liners with Brad Pitt. The sexylicious actress is set to star in an action thriller being developed at Paramount Pictures based on the life of Kathi Lynn Austin, a U.S. intelligence operative with expertise in arms-trafficking and terrorism.

Word of the deal comes via Variety today, which adds that the Jolie and her manager have been actively seeking a reality-rooted project for the actress that has franchise potential.

Paramount recently acquired the film rights to Austin’s real-life story, but the movie will still have fictional elements. The story reportedly pits Jolie’s character against a baddie based on infamous Russian arms dealer Victor “Merchant of Death” Bout, considered to be the world’s most powerful arms trafficker.

Austin, whose most recent work has been for the U.N. Security Council in Africa, Europe, Southeast Asia and Central America, personally hatched the pitch in cooperation with her rep. It is described as similar in tone to The Bourne Identity.

The studio and producers have, Variety says, already made a list of scripters they plan to approach with the project once the writer’s strike ends.

Jolie can currently be seen in theaters playing Grendel’s mother in Beowulf. She next stars in Fox’s Wanted, and is currently filming Clint Eastwood’s forthcoming drama, The Changeling.

EW.com has learned that Pitt requested several tickets to see SXSW’s hottest opening night show, R.E.M. at Stubb’s Wednesday night, but was told that the band had maxed out their guest list, and while they’d happily take care of the super-star couple, they couldn’t accommodate a larger entourage. Washington, Mar 14 (ANI): Celebrity donations are not a new thing in Hollywood, and now it was the turn of a charity co-founded by George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Matt Damon and Don Cheadle to put their money for a noble cause.
The charity, known as Not On Our Watch, dished out a whopping 500,000 dollars to the United Nations World Food Program to combat the food problem in Darfur, Sudan.

Bipasha Basu gets candid about her passions and yes, her ‘painful’ love scene with Saif Ali Khan in Race

Right now, her intimate scene with Saif Ali Khan in Race is making news. Apparently, the scene is so steamy that the unit had to almost call for a fire brigade! Jokes apart, Bipasha Basu says, for her personally, the scene was anything but passionate.

“I only did it because it kind of went with the script. I am someone who is allergic to everything and I had to do this passionate love scene in a hay stack! By the time we finished, my body was full of rash, my eyes were red and watery. I don’t really have great memories of that love scene.”

Wasn’t it the chemistry between the two on-screen that led to rumours about their romance off screen?” To think that even in this day and age, if you talk to your male co-star for longer than perhaps you normally would, it is misconstrued as an affair is sad. I just said that these days with those four children and with him being with Angelina all the time, it’s not the same any longer.”

And there were reports that this comment was actually about Saif being obsessed with Kareena! “I don’t know how it got misconstrued. For heaven’s sake, why would I care about what other people do? I will only talk about Brad because I love that man.” Okay, point taken.

Recently, Bipasha was in Kolkata shooting for Rituparno Ghosh’s film and all her relatives there (about seven to eight of them) turned up on the sets as they had never watched a shoot. “It was fun. My relatives were so excited about the proceedings,” she says.

Her gorgeous new haircut is quite exciting too. She says, “Probably because I have been a model I have this urge to re-invent myself all the time. I hate looking the same.”

Sua vida mudou muito após virar pai de família?
Foi a coisa mais divertida que já me aconteceu. E o maior aborrecimento também! (risos). Filhos mudam tudo. Ser pai impõe um senso de responsabilidade maior e de repente você se vê levando a sério. Mas também não enxergo isso como uma imposição. Encaro como uma coisa enriquecedora. Eu quero vê-los crescendo, aprendendo coisas. É um grande sentimento! Hoje não consigo me imaginar voltando à minha vida de antes.
Além de sexy, ele ainda diz que ama crianças!

Com Angelina e seus filhos, você leva uma vida itinerante. Como as crianças convivem com tantas mudanças?
Agora a gente tem seis casas lindas espalhadas pelo mundo. Então temos conforto em Nova York, Nova Orleans ou onde quer que nosso trabalho nos leve. E as crianças já estão acostumadas. Os garotos mais velhos estão sempre perguntando sobre a próxima viagem. São muito curiosos, interessados no que acontence à sua volta. E podem não entender isso agora, mas ficarão marcados pelos lugares que estão conhecendo. A única coisa na qual precisamos pensar é na escolarização deles. Então entramos em um programa internacional que faz com que o currículo seja aceito onde quer que vamos. Nosso filho mais velho, Maddox, entrou numa escola bilíngüe. Aí, Angie e eu estamos aprendendo francês. Eu gostaria que tivessem me dado essa chance quando estava na escola…

Você e Angelina acabam de comprar uma casa em Nova Orleans… Por que mais uma?
Nós fizemos de Nova Orleans a nossa base americana. Também temos uma casa em Los Angeles, mas lá a coisa se tornou inviável. Tem paparazzi demais, muita gente do lado de fora do portão, multidões nos seguindo em furgões, máquinas fotográficas enfiadas no rosto dos garotos. Eu, às vezes, até me divirto com essa visão que meus filhos têm do mundo. Sempre que eles saem na porta de casa, encontram pessoas paradas com câmeras. Eles vão estranhar quando perceberem que isso não é o normal! Mas quero ter alguma aparência de vida real e achamos isso em Nova Orleans. As pessoas lá são realmente tranqüilas.
