Brad Pitt & Bill Clinton are BFFs

Is it just me or does it make anyone else LOL when they see pix of Shiloh standing or walking? All I can think is, “Take that Ted C!” The poor schlub said Angie would be on to something else by the time Shiloh was walking. Well…he was KINDA right. She IS on to somethign else. Having another little Jolie-Pittlet. Poor Ted…must be nerve-wracking to have to constantly be on the lookout for a pink slip.

The big buzz this week is that there’s talk that a boy from our area was chosen, after two years of searching by a casting agency, to star in a film with Brad Pitt called “Tree of Life.”

Producers are very tight-lipped about the movie, which is in pre-production in Smithville, Texas in Bastrop County (near Austin), the same town where Sandra Bullock and Harry Connick Jr. filmed the movie “Hope Floats.”

In fact, producers were very tight-lipped about the film when the Francine Maisler Casting Agency was in the area in January at the Plaza Theatre in Vernon, Texas, looking for 9- to 14-year-old Caucasian boys to fill a role in an unnamed film.

All that those who auditioned knew was that the casting agency was looking for a Texas boy that was very small town and very rural.

Filming, according to Internet buzz, started in either late February or will start in late March in Smithville and stars Brad Pitt and Sean Penn (In fact, a television report on the Internet tells of a Angelina Jolie sighting at a Bastrop County Wal-Mart). Pitt is filling the role that Heath Ledger was originally supposed to fill (and before him, Colin Farrell). The plot is very secret but is supposed to focus on the beginnings of mankind and our evolution.

“Tree of Life” is by writer/director Terrence Malick.

A producer for the film would not confirm that a local boy was in the movie, saying only that families sign confidentiality agreements to not divulge anything about the movie and that the company likes to maintain the privacy of its actors during filming so they can live normal lives.

The movie is slated for release in 2009.

OMG two new threads I have to catch up on. Cute story abot me meeting Clinton (don’t worry police). Walking down 54th steet in Manhattan minding my own buiness when across the street there’s a crowd in front of a restaurant. I ask someone what’s going on over there? no one seemed to know. So I proceeded to walk only to hear screams where the crowd was at. So I cross the street and walk up to where the crowd is. I’m pushng my way through but I don’t really see anyone. But everyone had the camera phones up. There’s a bunch of people in front of me dressed in black and someone with white hair, head down looking like he was talking to a little girl in front of me and signing something.. That head of white hair popped up in front of me and it was President Clinton. Never in my wildest dreams would I have thought that I would meet a former President of the United States in front of an Italian restaurant on W 54th street while minding my business. There weren’t that many people maybe 20 or so All those arms reaching out for him to sign something. I wasn’t quick enough. I didn’t have a camera at the time. I was looking through my bag for something to write on but he went into a black tinted SUV and the Secret Service (guys in black) closed the door to the car and that was that. Thi swas about a few months after having the bypass surgery. He looked very thin and gaunt. Glad to see he’s looking good in these pictures. Brad looks like he gained a little weight. He always looks good to me. Angelina and the children are also looking good but I don’t see pictures of Shiloh supposedly crying. Maybe I missed it? Where is it?

Oh and anoble, if you are still on: Cat on a Hot Tin Roof was fantastic. I see Anika Noni Rose in a different light now. LOL!!! James Earl Jones is a must see. He alone is worth the price of admission.
