TEAM BILL ‘N BRAD!
As reported yesterday, Former President Bill Clinton met up with Brad Pitt to greet volunteers and break ground for new homes in the Lower Ninth Ward in New Orleans, Lousiana on Sunday.
Clinton hosted his Clinton Global Initiative University while Pitt represented his Make It Right Foundation, which he founded.
Clinton said, “The way to really get New Orleans all the way back and all the way back in a hurry is to rebuild in the right way and make it a long-term, five- to six-year commitment, to create a much higher base level of jobs through this whole energy efficiency endeavor.”

I like it that Brad and Jolie did not jump ship like some of the other clebrities. Clintons are doing good work and kudos to Brad for giving a helping hand.

I bet Brad will be back to NO a lot to check on the progress of the houses being built. I still think it is likely after his film wraps that they will go to NOLA for awhile.

More than likely. Short flight of 1.5 hours or less from Austin area to NOLA. Brad is totally invested in MIR and has the whole support of Angelina in this. The initial funds for MIR came from the Jolie-Pitt Foundation which Brad and Angelina jointly control. Both have spoken of their fondness and affinity for NOLA. They may even plan on having the newest Jolie-Pitt born there later this year as a demonstration of their faith in NOLA.
I really wish this could have been just posted as part 2. Silly title. The point is MIR, and getting the lower 9th ward going.

It is kind of funny when the ZacVac crowd spill over to this thread. However, after reading some of the teens comments on ZacVAC thread, I can see how global affairs, eco friendly re-building and humanitarian work is out of the reach of some of them. Just kidding ZacVAC fans, but it wouldn’t hurt you guys to keep up with current affairs and policies.

They’re both handsome and, amazingly, look similar together!
