OlderHalle Berry: It’s a Girl!
Halle Berry gave birth to a baby girl at 10:17 am on Sunday morning at Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles.
The baby weighed in at 7lbs 4oz and Halle, 41, is resting comfortable. This is the first child for Halle and boyfriend/model Gabriel Aubry, 32.
Halle has mentioned they’re not done yet. “There’s just one right now,” she said. “But we’re hoping, right after this one, to do it again!”
According to an insider for Star, “Halle was overcome with emotion when she finally held her little girl. She said everything she had gone through was worth that moment. The tears kept coming as Halle didn’t even want the nurses to take her baby to clean her up and measure. It was a truly beautiful scene.”
Congrats to Halle and Aubry! Can’t wait to see the little one!

Now, can someone please tell me if you know of any baby shower being held for Halle? Did we miss this? I can’t believe she was slighted out of a shower by her many fans in Hollywood. I’ve seen no news on this whatsoever. Surely Oprah, or Nancy O’Dell or someone would have hosted it or at least attended one for her.

When you’ve waited until a mature age to have a child, I can assure you there is nothing more beautiful than your baby and, yes, some of us do want that baby (child) with us 24/7. It’s so nice to see a Hollywood couple who is practical and in love! I know Gabriel will not abandon his child as did her own father!

I hope she don’t sell her photos but allow Oprah (since she came on her show to formally announce her pregnancy) to come to her house to introduce us to her new baby. This way we can get a chance to see her in a comfortable home setting and here about Halle’s story when it was time and how she is handling being a new mom.

Wow Jill…your reply is one of the nastiest ones I’ve ever read. But then again the majority of your posts are only nasty one liners. That’s about the extent of your contributions to Just Jared threads.
I actually think that the poster (Ms. scorpia) you were responding to meant her comment to be an absolute compliment to the proud parents…saying that they are both so gorgeous that their little baby girl is also going to be incredibly gorgeous….ie a genetic freak of nature…her beauty so rare that it’s a freak of nature. Can’t you see that the term “freak of nature” in this context is a huge compliment? I actually thought you were smart enough to be able to recognise the difference between a compliment and an attack….but obviously not.
Maybe you should relax a little instead of waiting to pounce with your one-liners and maybe then you will see that certain posts are completey benign, are not offensive and certainly don’t deserve your vitriol.

Congrats Halle! Knew it was going to be a girl and born on the 16th (it’s also a special day in other religions too besides being Palm Sunday.
#22–think she had a quiet shower according to some source in January or December and wasn’t well publicized.
Jared-we all know she said numerous times that she/they want more kids right away and also said in a couple of interviews Tavis Smiley and others you’ve posted on your site with her saying she/they may only do this once.
Wish them the very best no matter how many kids they have. Guess we’ll have to wait on the pix.

I’m not quite sure how your mind works, but I don’t think any rational person would refer to a beautiful baby as a “genetic freak of nature”. “Freak” is an extremely derogatory term, especially when applied to a baby. However, you are free to interpret it as you see fit. And if you don’t like my posts, you are always free to ignore them.
That is going to be one overwhelmingly beautiful baby girl. Can’t wait to catch a glimpse!

I knew Halle would have a girl and I am sooooo happy. I think that a girl will be better for her and Aubry first. Halle is going to make a fabulous mother and enjoy being with her own daughter. I think Aubry will be totally in love with his baby girl. I keep picturing the three of them together and Aubry cuddling the child. I think Halle picked the best man to be the father of her child. It’s 100 percent positive.

i think the person saying freak of nature just meant this kid is going to be so unbelievably good looking, she will be like a freak of nature - out of the ordinary - at least that is what i hope the person was saying. this kid will be stunning i am sure. unfortunately for the rest of us, halle and gabriel have raised the bar and so just when you think your kid was cute, here comes their kid looking like the most perfect kid. i don’t care how cute you think your kid is, it probably can’t compare to this little girls. sorry. god bless them all

I’m so happy for her! I feel sorry for Jen Lopez’s kids though. It seems like she wanted babies for the media attention. But congrats to halle, she seems like she’d be a great mom and she’s been talking about wanting kids for a while.
I took the “genetic freak of nature” comment to mean something like Gorgeous + Gorgeous = never has nature seen such beauty. As in the combination of all those “beauty” genes into one little baby girl. Best wishes to the happy family.
