Halle Berry: It’s a Girl!

Halle Berry gave birth to a baby girl at 10:17 am on Sunday morning at Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles.

The baby weighed in at 7lbs 4oz and Halle, 41, is resting comfortable. This is the first child for Halle and boyfriend/model Gabriel Aubry, 32.

Halle has mentioned they’re not done yet. “There’s just one right now,” she said. “But we’re hoping, right after this one, to do it again!”

According to an insider for Star, “Halle was overcome with emotion when she finally held her little girl. She said everything she had gone through was worth that moment. The tears kept coming as Halle didn’t even want the nurses to take her baby to clean her up and measure. It was a truly beautiful scene.”

Congrats to Halle and Aubry! Can’t wait to see the little one!

I hope she doesn’t sell her babypics tho…I’m so sick of celebrities doing that…so tasteless…don’t use your kids as a commodity!

I’m so happy for her! I feel sorry for Jen Lopez’s kids though. It seems like she wanted babies for the media attention. But congrats to halle, she seems like she’d be a great mom and she’s been talking about wanting kids for a while.

I took the “genetic freak of nature” comment to mean something like Gorgeous + Gorgeous = never has nature seen such beauty. As in the combination of all those “beauty” genes into one little baby girl. Best wishes to the happy family.

I knew the child would be a girl! Sincere congrats to Halle and Gabriel. Will the girl look more like Gabriel or Halle? Time will tell. I wonder if they’ve picked a name for her yet? Halle once said you couldn’t name a baby until you’ve met it. Now she’s met her.
