Madonna & Guy Ritchie: Still Going Strong
Madonna and husband Guy Ritchie arrive arm-in-arm at upscale Italian restaurant Harry’s in Mayfair, London on Tuesday night.
Just yesterday, the Material Mom’s rep denied reports that the couple’s marriage was on the rocks.
Madge’s new album, Hard Candy, will be released on April 29.

I agree with you. She’s holding her purse in the had that should be wrapped around his arm. Her arm just seems to be hanging there like an apron, no physical emotion coming from her at all. Also, no wedding ring on her finger; notice how she has placed her left hand directly up to her face.
Maybe she’s trying to send a signal that she is the one that wants out of this marraige when the breakup becomes public.
Or maybe it’s another publicity stunt; she is quite up in age, and we are talking about her now.
Boy, some people on this board must really be sooooooooo miserable to always look at the dark side of things. It probably makes them feel better to think that someone else’s marriage is breaking up even if it isn’t. Misery loves company. What losers.
I have one thing to say, and that’s Liz once again you’re right!!
I’m glad to see that the Ritchies are OK. Even if they did deliberately go out for dinner just for the photo op, they made the effort, which says something. They’re together.

Its a no win situation love. If you are apart from Mr. Ritchie for work, they claim divorce. If you’re finally together and decide to eat out for dinner, they scream publicity stunt. If you work out too much, they say ewww lookit at overly muscular arm, stop working out, if you don’t work out they call you fat, if you cover yourself up they say you dress matronly and old, if you dress sexy they tell you you’re too old for that, so my suggestion?

Just promise me you’ll go on tour and give me another wonderful ******* show.

The rich have good pr workers. A loving couple don’t live on opposite sides of the world when your as rich as they are. This couple can afford privite jets-there was no excuss for him not being at her induction. Where ever Mr, Ritchie was that night the people around him would have excussed him to be by his wife side.
His absents show like of love or support for her and that can’t be washed any other way.

yes this is a publicity stunt because she hasn’t gotten permanent custody of david and when she does then she will cut and run. to go out to dinner and not show up to her rock and roll hall of fame because you were busy???? all honorees are notified way in advance so they can clear their schedule and attend and it was only for the evening not for a week. he could have flown in on their private jet that morning and left that night. it is only 5- 6 hours from new york to london by plane. so to say he was working does not fly. further, there is a huge time difference…when it is morning here it is night time there and i am sure he isn’t shooting a movie that late at night. because he is sleep. so he could have made it if he wanted to, look he found time to go out to eat??? the body language says it all in the photos.
when angelina jolie adopted madox didn’t billy bob thornton and her ended up getting a divorce? he said in an interview he did not want to adopt but she did and went her way. so…in an interview it said guy did not want to adopt david but madonna did. have you seen him in africa with her to get the baby or to visit? nah….it’s over before the year is out. perhaps she thought having another child…by adopting…since she could not have another one….would save the marriage. judging by the photos it is clear there is problems. and i believe that is their way of letting their family and friends know. but for the sake of david they will keep it together until the adoption is final. i am sure guy and madonna feel it’s best not to send him back to the orphanage.

They are great! I love Madonna’s hair style. Very simple but very beautiful.
Madonna wrote a song on this upcoming CD about her rocky marriage — so it’s not just rumors!
She talks about how much time they have to spend apart, and when they are apart, Guy is loving and misses her, but when they are together, he doesn’t show much affection. Sounds kind of normal, to me! That’s the way a lot of men are, especially after eight years of marriage!!
So I don’t think this is a publicity stunt. Madonna doesn’t need to be seen with Guy to sell a CD. I think they have been apart, so now they are going out. But still….. This isn’t a marriage full of loving affection. If Madonna is okay with that, they’ll stay together. If she wants more, she’ll leave.
Astonishing that so many people seem to think that being photographed together in public or not being photographed in public is an indicator of how a couple’s relationship is going. M had work commitments in the US and Guy is editing his film and working on a commercial in the UK. should one of them fly to another continent every weekend just so they could be photographed together to “prove” to certain people they are happy? LOL. Some people surely forget that what we hear/see is like 2 percent of what goes on in their lives so I don’t know how anyone could be so convinced that a few photos are in any way representative of their lives.
As for his absence at the RnR Hall of Fame thing… they both have made it very clear over the years that he is not interested in her celebrity status and M herself didn’t seem to think that the Hall of Fame thing is terribly important. she went along with it, said her thanks but all that has very little to do with their relationship. People have been so conditioned these days into thinking that you always have to have your partner at your side for everything important. it’s like many of these other politically correct behaviors you are supposed to adhere to. what about an ounce of independence?
I’m not claiming to know that everything is fine in their relationship. Maybe it is on the rocks, maybe it isn’t. My point is that we do not have sufficient information. It would be nice if people considered the many options of interpreting a certain situation instead of just going for the most “interesting” one and pretend that a few photos and them working independently from eachother for 2 months equals a breakup and nothing else.

LOL, I find these rumours hilarious. The tabloids will always make up rumours because it sells papers. Never mind if it’s complete and utter bollocks, if it sells then it’s good. What I find even funnier is that everyone seems to believe every word of it!

As for the words of the song about being miles apart, that could refer to anyone. Or no-one. Her lyrics aren’t always personal sometimes they’re just fictional. But she has mentioned that she misses her family a lot, most them live in L.A and N.Y and London is an ocean and a continent away.
The thing is Ann that we live in such a celebrity obsessed culture that every minute detail of a photograph can be scrutinised, such as in which hand a handbag is being held and imagining from that everything about the state of such and such a celeb’s marriage!
