“Best friends” may be a bit of an exaggeration on Miley’s part but she is friends with Ashley and Vanessa so I have no trouble believing she and Zac have become friends by association. Who knows and what does it even matter? This is a pretty trival thing to take offense at. LOL

Okaaay some people have gotten a little confused at my statement. I never said Miley and Zac were not friends, I just said that it’s very likely that they’re not best friends. I’m not going to post untrue things about Miley like ‘omFG she’s so Uglyyy!11′ but I do not like her and the reason for that is because I find her attention seeking. And I sometimes do question the ‘friendship’ of Miley with Ashley & Vanessa, these girls are a lot older than her and we don’t really see any candids of Miley shopping with either of the girls.

Calling me jealous is ridiculous. I’m a huuge fan of both Vanessa & Ashley - don’t you think if I was gonna be jealous of somebody it’d be his girlfriend or a close friend that he actually IS photographed with and are near his age?

I really do find Miley very ‘ooh paparazzi look at me, ooh media’. Sorry Miley fans. Just my opinion. And I think the only reason she said this statement is to get more gossip sites/magazines writing about her. This doesn’t offend me as such, rather just annoys me and pees me off a little bit. I just think she’s milking the paparazzi and media for all it’s worth and that the industry she’s in shouldn’t be all about that, even if it is a major part of it.

The cast is currently recording the soundtrack and rehearsals for the movie are due to start in March. Corbin Bleu gave TV Guide some hints of what’s to come: “It’s [about] graduation, senior year, prom… all that goes into it. And there’s going to be a school production as well. I have seen the first draft of the script, and [my character] Chad’s got a lot to do. I think the major thing for him in this movie is he’s leaving this world of high school that he’s been so attached to all these years — he’s going to be pulled out of his element — and that is a bit of a hard transformation for him.”

Bleu is already feeling the difference between the small-screen High School Musicals and the new motion picture. “There’s obviously a bigger budget and the grandeur is on a higher scale,” he says. “I know it’s felt in the music, from what we’ve heard, and I know once we start filming we’ll see the difference there, too.” - TV Guide

#71 Just to be fair, Boji, I wouldn’t really call J-14 a “tabloid.” It’s a teen Magazine that spotlights the biggest teen stars. It’s got some gossip but its all harmless fluff .

As far as the Miley statement goes, I did read an article after HSM 2 came out about their friendship. I guess when Miley came to film her part in the movie which was a small scene at the end, she stayed in a casita next door to Zac’s along with the rest of main gang. I guess they did have movie nights and such and they did ALL become good friends. Just sayin.

The think I don’t like about J-14 is they insinuate things that make kids who are 12-15 get all upset. I just saw the one that is on newsstands now and it has something about “what is pulling Zac and Vanessa apart” or something along those lines. In it they were talking about how they have not been together as much lately and it shows a picture of Zac at that basketball game without Vanessa—it failed to say, however, that just the night before and the night before that they had been together in Palm Springs for the film festival, etc. Nor did it say they were now in separate countries WORKING and doing their jobs. They weren’t mean and malicious like Star of Enquirer or x17 would be in their accusations but it does damage to those who read it nevertheless.

Karen, I agree. These articles are geared to the tween-age Drama Queens. They eat this stuff up like cotton candy and then run to school and gossip about it: “OMG did you HEAR . . .”

I saw that spread, too, and wondered why they didn’t use ONE of the many Palm Springs pics or the HSM2 DVD red carpet. They chose pictures that would go along with what they were saying. And did you notice, they even cut out the friend with whom Zac went to the game? Why? Because they said he was ALONE at the game.

The sad thing is, young kids with little or no reasoning powers take these stories as the gospel truth. Many of them don’t even know that Zac and Vanessa are making movies.
