South Park: Miley Cyrus is the New Britney Spears
Last night’s episode of Comedy Central’s South Park parodied Britney Spears and the world’s obsession with her.
The pop princess isn’t so much skewered herself, but the the paparazzi who follow her and her poor management.
Through a chain of events, Britney, sadly, blows her own head off with a shotgun. And who to take her place in the pop world? Hannah Montana star Miley Cyrus. (You have to fast forward to the 21-minute mark to see the Miley shout-out.)

it was hilarious, and proved a point.
They forgot to include her part in enticing them to follow her in the first place for the last 4 years. Other than that omission it was quite on point.
This wasn’t meant to be funny, it was meant to prove a point. And it’s hardly about Miley. It’s about how the papparazzi won’t stop following Britney Spears until something serious happens — and by that time, it’ll be too late. If all you got from that is “Miley Cyrus is the new Britney Spears” then, wow…
Funny, my sister & I have discussed the path Miss Cyrus is headed on, and how she appears to be the next Britney Spears–she’s overrated (as Britney once was) but she has tons loads of fans to support her despite obvious missteps (her minor scandals have already been swept under the rug as if it’s what a typical teen does–but a normal teen would be given more heeding to).
Just looking at the facts people, other than that, pretty funny, if not disturbing =P
It does make a point. Gossip news if far more important to the masses than any political news.
Sad, but true.

Oh man, I saw the preview for next week’s episode and she does not look like she was doing a good job in her little cameo role… she needs to take a vacation and do some recovery work, not jump back into acting and music!

Plus, I think its stupid and sad to say miley is headed down that path.. Britney spears is obviously sick, so its not joke.
As for her being the next lindsay- lindsay was already into drugs and sex at miley’s age. Miley’s idea of fun is church and making silly videos with friends. I dont see any similarities. Not to mention Miley wears a purity ring.
