i think that was the point of the Ad, she’s always so serious and doesnt smile. so being placed inside a shopping bag and made to look ridculous is a comical/commericial take on her as a person and that in fashion all together.

Personally, I would never agree to be photographed by Juergen Teller whose style is too raw for my taste… I suspect Victoria agreed to that to become more of a household name in the US but also to break her serious image. She probably wasn’t aware of the photographer’s brief. In matters of communication, controversy is worth more than beauty.
