Angelina Jolie is a Party Pig

Pregnant Angelina Jolie takes 3-year-old daughter Zahara for a little toy shopping at a Party Pig Superstore in in Sunset Valley, Texas last Wednesday.

The mother-daughter duo spent an hour picking up toys. Angie pushed a yellow shopping cart around while Princess Zee clutched onto her blankie. How cute is she?!

According to newly released federal tax filings, it was reported last week that Angie and partner Brad Pitt gave more than $8 million in donations in 2006, with Brad putting in $4,402,317, and Angie donating $4,123,613.

Talk about generosity!

Papa Pitt has been busy shooting his latest film, Tree of Life.

Felinelilly-
I thought about that too re “lay off” when I hit submit and it was taking forever that I had time to re-read it, but was too late and cant abort the process. I’m glad you know it’s not you but the haters, LOL.

BBL

Hey yolanda — yeah you’re right — I agree, Brad & Angelina shouldn’t give sh*t away — that way they won’t be attacked by jealous ‘mean girl,’ irate fuglies like YOU, who say so what if they gave a kabillion dollars away they’ll get a lot back on their taxes. That of course cancels out their goodwill, Paul Newman’s, Bonos, Courtney Cox and her newly created fdn she’s trying to raise dough for too — and many others.

I say just to avoid the criticism, Angelina should take the 4 million she got for Shi, the 8 million she wants to give away and buy a great haircut, a yacht, an island — just pocket it, POCKET IT ALL. Then go out and be a spokesperson for plastic bottled tap water that’s ruining the environment to make even MORE money, that she won’t give away either — YESSS!!

That way, she can be just like dumb Gwyn Paltry who pocketed the 50 cents she got for her kids for herself, and only attends OTHER PEOPLE’S charity events to get her bad dancing on.

…and no one, will ever criticize her charitable contributions and tireless philanthropy ever again, because like the people I mentioned — she won’t be doing a gda*mned thing, to get criticized for!!

People like yolanda would have no problem I’m sure with AJ and the rest of the JPs just living high on the hog, making movies, being in love and having babies — just keep all that tireless effort and energy in the bedroom where it belongs, making more JP babies. leave it for the JP dynasty.

They get too much criticism for helping others, yeah they should stop.

hahahahaha. Yolanda is a dumb f*ck.

Zahara is a beautiful little girl.

I’m sure Zee will be a model when she grows up, she’s so adorable already. What a loving mom Angelina seems to be!

Fefe,

What’s-up baby…enjoying your day?…Hollaback…Zahara has nice expressive eyes with good even complexion, and nice soft hair…and THE Angelina has a sweet pucker going on…no disrespect to you BooBoo ’cause everybody knows, I love your lips best and most of all… for real…tell me about your day, the usual.

seriously @ 03/24/2008 at 3:46 pm

what the he** brad’s mom supposed to do there all the time?from the time they arrived in Texas, you are claiming Brad’s mom is there while there was not even one single report(let put alone pics) from good source to claim they saw Brad’s mom with them.Brad’s mom has family in MO and has at least 7 more grandkids,I’m sure she loves them even more since she spends so much time with them.

we never saw Brad’s mom with them.just once while Angelina was in Darfur, after that she never came to their house or wherever they are.or at least they were not such a picture or report of her with them in prague,NYC or in Texas or Chicago or wherever they went during last year.

Is ”Wanted” a PG13??

What It Feels Like…

… To Be the Brother of a Movie Star
Doug Pitt, 40
All that America knows about Brad Pitt is what’s on the big screen or in the tabloids. But Springfieldian Doug Pitt grew up with him and has a completely different perspective on fame.
BY DOUG PITT,
AS TOLD TO EVAN FISK

Growing Up With Brad Pitt

He’s 43. He’ll be 44 in December. And our younger sister is two years younger than I am. We were really close [growing up]. We’ve got a close family, and that has absolutely nothing to do with what or who he is. We were his brother and sister then like we are now. Naturally there was something in Brad that made him jump in the car and drive to L.A. that I didn’t possess. But at the same time, I wouldn’t say we’re a whole lot different.

I’m 40 years old, and I’ve spent most of it here in Springfield. I spent six months living in L.A. when I was 20-21. I went out there to stay with Brad for a month and ended up staying for six because it was so much fun. Then I came back to finish school, so it was nothing more than an extended vacation. He had done a lot of TV at that time, and he had gone to Yugoslavia to do his first film, Dark Side of the Sun. I spent a lot of that time by myself, and I had a blast.

Going to Premieres and Tapings
Our first premiere was probably A River Runs Through It. We got to meet Robert Redford and do that whole hoopla in New York. It was quite a deal. I’d be lying if I said I still didn’t enjoy that part.
I’ve been to tons of [movie sets]. The last one I was on was Mr. and Mrs. Smith. It’s fun. It never gets old. It’s not a glamour deal at all. In fact, it’s pretty arduous. They’ll do the same scene 20 times, and to me they all look the same. But the novelty of the production side-seeing how the machines work-is so far removed from what I do day-to-day. That part’s fun. And again, I get to watch my brother work.

Brad’s First Film That the Family Saw Together
Thelma and Louise. He did a little one called Cutting Class, but really the first big one was Thelma and Louise. And even in the first decade, yes, we all met to see it, and it was a big deal with friends and all that. Now I try to get there on opening night, but sometimes I don’t get that done.

Unwanted Media Attention
I can’t say I’m bored with it, but I’m in the neighborhood. [Laughs.] We’ve been doing this for 20 years. The novelty has well worn off, you know? We covered that in the first decade. Now I guess we’re in maintenance mode. You deal with it as you have to.

Naturally, we were getting to do a lot of things for the first time: Go to premieres, meet people, do some things. That part was exciting. That was fun. Now we’ve been there and done that. But on the flip side, people are coming to my doorstep, and I have to change phone numbers and deal with people coming to the office. The intrusion. That was not fun, but we had to experience that for the first time as well and kind of work with those issues and learn how to respond. What is the casual fan, and when does someone cross the line? And how are we prepared to respond to that? Again, there were a lot of unknowns in that first decade. Now I think we’ve got it down pretty well. Like I said, I just consider it maintenance mode. We kind of try to mind our own business.

My skin is a lot tougher than it used to be. Part of that is by choice and part of that is just by necessity. I couldn’t tell you what one gossip magazine says, you know. It’s so far from the truth that it’s not even worth discussion. To say they’re lies, I’m not even sure if that’s descriptive enough. They’re completely fabricated. It used to be they’d take a little fraction of the truth and build lies around it. Now they don’t even bother with that 10 percent anymore.

But I like looking at the pictures because I can keep track of what the family’s doing. I don’t get bent out of shape about stories anymore. What I’m probably most protective of is just our visible space. When they come to Springfield, some of them are still brazen enough to try to come to the front door at the office. That’s not a warm reception for them. [My employees] are actually really good at [dealing with reporters]. They do a great job. When I have to get involved, we usually don’t see those people again.

When Brad’s in the news, my phone is ringing. Unfortunately he’s in the news a lot. I was raised to be polite. I even tried to treat the media that way. But in the last few years, I had to kind of take control. Sometimes that means being outright rude, being curt in how I handle some of these people. I wouldn’t say that’s in my personality, but unfortunately, that’s the way I have to handle it now. I can’t say I’m real apologetic about it either. We’ll leave it at that.

When there’s a statement to be made on something that really has my brother’s interest at heart, or there’s something he’s made a comment on, I’ll make a single comment to People Magazine. But outside of our local paper or local magazine, I just have nothing to say. That’s kind of my line to them: If Brad has something to say, he’ll say it.

Working with Brad on Humanitarian Projects:
Probably one of my biggest deals the past few years has been a number of different humanitarian projects. I’ve had Africa in my scope for the last two years, and right now that’s where my concentrated efforts are, although we are looking at a deal in Cambodia. And also I really want to do something in the States.

Even today, [Brad and I] are talking about some projects, but so far I’ve done my own deal, and he’s done his. I wish I had news for you about this thing coming out, because we’re working on something. It’s a monster. But I just can’t talk about it right now. But it’s… big. It’s really big.

I will tell you that even now [Brad and I] are involved in a fundraiser in Pennsylvania, and we’ll be doing one here in Springfield. Between the two, we expect to raise in the neighborhood of $400,000 for Africa relief.

um, okay…just a comment and an opinion…you can disagree and that’s fine…as soon as someone explained how the tax deduction works in regards to her only getting back the taxable income portion, then I retracted that comment completely…

but then you take something as innocent as that and turn it into a nasty attack filled with immature profanity and name calling…if that makes you feel better about yourself, then good for you.

Just because someone makes a statement that you disagree with, you can respond to them more maturely than cursing them out behind a monitor…thanks Cliniqua for that well thought out and mature response…

cliniqua babe!ur awesome!keep on posting my luv.

to the Naysayers @ 03/24/2008 at 3:51 pm

To the naysayers out there who keep harping on the release of the Jolie-Pitt contribution info…it’s available to everyone via the internet…as are others who have filed charitable foundation returns. You have to register to view and then type in Jolie-Pitt Foundation or any other filing you’re interested in seeing.

Awwww…Z is such a cutie-pie! She’s definitely into pink. LOL. Thanks Jared for the new thread. Hope everyone had a wonderful Easter.

Cheers, peace, good wishes. :)

Schlumberger @ 03/24/2008 at 4:01 pm

Perla @ 03/24/2008 at 2:59 pm anyone who is questioning who released the info needs to actually get their facts straight rather than simply believing that Brad and Angelina must have conspired with FoxNews to make the 6:00 news headline. Grow up!
But I will agree with someone earlier who said that while it is such a wonderful thing for them to donate $8+ million to charity, they do receive that back in their returns. I think some people have forgotten that fact. That $8+ million will come back in their refund check (as it does for everybody).
====================================
Please allow me to correct you.

1) It’s true a taxpayer can take a tax deduction and thereby saves tax.
2) The JoliePitt contributed 8M, and get a tax decuction. But they will not get a 8M in refund. Because the maximum tax bracket for Federal and Cali is 35-40%.

3) If a taxpayer’s tax bracket is 100%, and contributes 8M, he/she will get 8M in tax refund. But there is NO such thing as 100% tax bracket.

Looks like someone never itemized on a return…haha

Brad Pitt & Angelina Jolie Gave $8 Mil to Charity
By Lesley Messer and Stephen M. Silverman

News cameras have captured Brad Pitt building homes in New Orleans, and now federal tax filings for the Jolie Pitt Foundation have documented the good works that Brad and Angelina Jolie are doing behind the scenes.

All told, they gave more than $8 million in donations in 2006, with Pitt putting in $4,402,317, and Jolie donating $4,123,613, the Huffington Post reports, citing newly released federal tax filings. (These latest figures don’t include 2007 – in which, among other charitable efforts, Brad’s Make It Right Foundation raised $5 million.)

In terms of dispensing their funds, according to records for 2006, the foundation handed out $2,367,935, including $1 million to both Doctors Without Borders (International Division) and to the Global Action for Children.

Additional gifts included $137,935 to the Namibia Red Cross Action Program (their daughter Shiloh was born in the African country); $100,000 to the Daniel Pearl Foundation (the late journalist’s widow, Marianne Pearl, was played by Jolie in A Mighty Heart); $100,000 to Global Green U.S.A. and to the Epidermolysis Bulloma Medical Research Foundation.

In addition, $20,000 went to an art park in Los Angeles, as did separate $5,000 donations to two orphanages that Jolie had visited.

More Good Works
In terms of Pitt’s work in Louisiana, Jolie’s costar in the movie Wanted, Morgan Freeman, told PEOPLE Thursday at the Pathfinders to Peace Forum and Gala, “We were in contact with Brad about the situation in New Orleans” – and he called Jolie “such a wonderful woman.”

Said Freeman: “ASIDE FROM ALL THAT PHYSICAL BEAUTY, SHE’S A REAL PERSON.”

Check out the little girl in Nola, feeling AJ’s baby bump…I wonder if the baby was kicking.

Cook,

Hi baby! :D :D :D I missed you! I’m really happy to see you on.
How are you? How’s your finger? Is it oozing yet? lol
I’m kidding, I hope it heals quickly. I agree, Zahara is beautiful. And PLEASE! LOL Even I agree that Angie’s mouth is perfect! So you’re allowed, lol. I’ll admire Brad’s lips even though yours are it as far as I’m concerned.
My day? Nothing wild happening yet…I’m not as busy today as I am some days, so I’ve been enjoying JJ’s more than usual, which is good with this new thread. We did get new computers installed at work. How about you? Are you off today or working?

Schlumberger @ 03/24/2008 at 4:22 pm

1) The maximum tax bracket for Federal is 35%

2) The maximum tax bracket for California is approx 10%

3) The total tax bracket for a high income earner is 45% (35 + 10)

4) If a taxpayer contributes 1M to charities, he/she will take the 1M in deduction. Tax saving at 45 % bracket is 45K. Actual out of pocket cost is still (1M - 45K = 55K)

5) There is NO such thing as 100% tax bracket.

6) Tax refund, tax deduction, are totally different thing . Dont mix up those terms.

cliniqua, thanks for the link,i love the pic

Fefe,

I’m off now…and hungry as usual…I got leftovers from yesterday, I intend to handle…the finger is swollen an sore and I gotta change the bandages again…not looking forward to that, but, I don’t want it infected…hopefully the new computers are an improvement for you…I wanna chill and watch alot of re-run sitcoms then dancing with the stars tonight?…and Jason Taylor is my dawg in football but, I hope he loses soon (if he hadn’t already), ’cause I don’t need you gawking at him every week…haha…I’m too happy to be IT…blows my mind for real though…haha
