Doug’s accent is so apparent - can you guys imagine Brad speaking like this. His voice isn’t as deep as Brad’s. I love a drawl. I bet Brad slips back into his natural drawl when he’s home chillin’ with Angie and his fam.

LOL, hey leni - oh, no - it’s not nearly as thick as Brad’s was in Thelma & Louise :lol:, but it’s definitely apparent - subtle, but there. He’s got a nice speaking voice.

guli, i read an earlier post that said your daughter has gotten rid of the crutches. i am so happy for her and you of course. i know your whole family is so glad. when she is a grown woman with kids of her own, she will remember how you helped her through all of this. = ) God bless your whole family.

The government DOES release tax filings. This is NOT personal financial information. There was no “leak.”

If both of you, or the one of you, weren’t so ignorant and/or lazy, you would have been able to look up the foundation tax forms yourself.

All foundations like the Jolie Pitt foundation are required to file tax returns. Those returns are NOT private like personal returns are. They are public and many philanthropy websites publish the tax returns for literally thousands of foundations.

The JP tax returns were filed in October 2007. They cover the initial tax return for the foundation for the dates July 10, 2006 to December 31, 2006. The only information provided was information required by US tax law. The foundation disbursed an impressive 25.9% of assets in that shortened 6 month period of time. The law requires that foundations like the JP Foundation disburse at least 5% - they far exceeded that requirement.

So out of initial contributions and/or gifts of $4,123,633 by Jolie and $$4,402,317 by Pitt (Total $8,528,450), plus interest from temporary cash investments of $77,701 (Grand Total $8,606,151), the JPs gave away a very healthy percentage. The remainer is in the charitable foundation and no longer is personal assets of either Jolie or Pitt.

So, the moolah remained part of a charitable foundation at the end of 2006. We will have to wait til the 2007 tax returns are filed and posted before we will have to endure more of your agenda driven and mean spirited questions.

Additionally, their overhead and expenses were only $27,000 - a tiny fraction of the assets even for a family foundation. There are many more legitimate expenses that could have been charged off to the assets and probably were incurred in running the foundation yet the tax forms show the JPs didn’t use foundation assets to pay anything other than what looks like minimal expenses - so it says to me that the JPs covered any other expenses inured to the foundation out of their own pockets.

I am more convinced than ever that some posters here have NO experience with life or taxes or incomes. Even the notion that someone doesn’t understand how tax deductions work is mind blowing. We won’t even get into the fact that there is a limit as to how much you can deduct from your income - no matter how much you give. The tax benefits are not always available when you give over a certain amount or certain percentage of your income.

I suppose we also need to leave for another day the time consuming complications of donating and r eceiving large sums of money. Especially for projects overseas. For instance, the recipient has to be ready and capable of receiving the money. Sometimes they’re just not equipped personnel-wise, accounting-wise or project-wise to handle large infusions of money. But we wouldn’t want to confuse the poor things desperately trying to spin their anti-JP agenda.

But I will agree with someone earlier who said that while it is such a wonderful thing for them to donate $8+ million to charity, they do receive that back in their returns. I think some people have forgotten that fact. That $8+ million will come back in their refund check (as it does for everybody).

I find it rather comical that you would use the name “Seriously” to post under. I mean seriously, Seriously. Get a grip. Brad’s mom has been with them on a lot of occasions over the past few years. There have been reports from regular schmoes who’ve seen her with them. She was in Chicao last summer when Angie filmed Wanted. There was a picture of her at their hotel. Or do ya think she was at the Peninsula panhandling for change so she could afford a flight back to Springfield, MO? There were pix of Brad’s mom at the AMH premiere in NYC in June 2007. Oh wait, my bad…she had a camera so she was prolly trying her hand at being a ratzo. She’s got an inside track, so why not, right?

Just suck it up and get a clue. Brad’s parents are around a lot more now that he has kids. Get used to it. Oh yeah…and X is paying your ass waaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyy too much.

#100: and I bet you know this cause you live next door to the JPs if not in the same house. You know when she visits and when she takes off and since you only saw her once, that’s the only time Brad’s mother was with his family. Rrrrright!

I’m so glad you keep a very watchful eye on the comings and goings of the JPs and the Pitts. Who needs a security camera when they have you?
