Whitney Port is a Hero
MTV’s Remote Control Blog has a fun letter written to Whitney Port, with regards to last night’s premiere episode of The Hills.
Dear Whitney,
Will you be my Mommy? Seriously. You totally saved the day when Lauren burned her ball gown with the curling iron. You’re always so composed, even when you’re tripping down the stairs on Live TV. And screw that sucker in the bow tie for giving you the cold stare after telling him you want to be a stylist. Reach for the stars, Whit. Spread your wings.
P.S. I don’t care what the New York Times says, you’re definitely not a “Shakespearean mute.”

She’s calm and cool because MTV has planned that to happen and have the new dress ready for Lauren already. Can’t believe people would be so stupid. This show is so stupid but I can’t stop watching it. It’s TV version of crack.

I totally agree talula. the reason why she is always calm and collected is because 99% of everything that is said and happens on this show is scripted. duh. how can people be so naiive?
I seriously doubt the scene with the burned dress was scripted, did you not see Lauren crying? She looked scared to death that she was going to get in trouble. She couldn’t fake those tears she’s not that good of an actress. I’m sure some things on the show are “arranged” but the whole ordeal with the dress was definitely not one of them!
I know SOME of it is planned, like Heidi coming to Laurens appt last season, planned for the drama, seemed like Lauren had planned what she said, but doubtful that it was “SCRIPTED” These people aren’t actors…look at Spencer, he sucks… and you can tell when he and heidi fight, that they are not acting… think about it, how well would Spencer and Heidi be able to ACT???? they are no good at ANYTHING!!!!
whitney’s cool. but gees, the fact that she couldnt even pronounce ‘givenchy’ properly was embarassing!! she works in the fashion industry for god sake.

The show is not scripted. Think about it. Scripted language does not sound like everyday language, it sounds like professional scripts. The Hills’ kids do not speak professionally.
It’s scripted as in they’ve planned everything to happen according to some pre-existing plot. They give the cast the freedom to improvise the lines and that’s why we always have horrible awkward lines from Heidi and Spencer. Whitney’s lines are easy because they only consist of “oh my god” and “really?” That said, I still can’t stop watching this stupid show.
she is so nice & classy & put together. she also cares a lot about her job & those around her. where lc doesn’t care about anything or anyone about herself whitney is the complete opposite & makes good decisions. she is so naturally pretty. i don’t know about her fashion. sometimes she looks good & other times she tries a little to hard to do something different. however, she has a great body & class so she can pull off a lot of looks other can’t. audrina needs to go away. i always thought she was dirty & those nasty pics confirmed lc is losing her charm. i like lo, she is sassy & i think she will liven up the show. last nights episode seemed a bit fake & those french guys were gross & “stinky” but the season looks good. i so love that heidid wasn’t invited to the party. the ***** made a bad decision to cross lc.
I think she’s the kindest person out of ‘em, she really seems honest and sincere, she cares about her career and is good at what she does without being arrogant. That being said, it doesn’t take a genius to understand that the whole show is scripted, maybe they don’t have lines but they surely have a general stub.
