Brad Pitt & Barack Obama are Related

The View gals asked Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama this morning to help clear up the rumors that he’s related to Brad Pitt.

“I guess we are ninth cousins something removed or something,” Barack said.

Jokingly he added, “I think he got the better looking side of the gene pool.”

Barbara Walters couldn’t agree more: “We thought you were very sexy looking (applause). Don’t you think so? (to audience)”

Apparently, the other Democratic presidential candidate, Hillary Clinton, is cousins with Pitt’s partner, Angelina Jolie, twice removed.

Um, yeah. Just so you know! Watch the clip of Barack on The View here.

Hey Tijen,

I was attracted to this post because it guess what: talks about politics! I meant it is a thread about Brack Obama being linked to a celebrity that I like so I find it interesting that people think it is inappropriate to talk politics on a thread about a politician! Maybe this thread should not be put up here then. Dunno. Yeah, I am born of a Japanese mother who was a staunch feminist and a White father whose family was pro-Civil Rights. I have no tolerance for people who judge based on race or religion. And I don find it interesting, how some people here are alarmed to think Brad Pitt would vote Obama. Ii find that fascinating. I hope Brad and Angelina are reading these posts - it would shock them to think their fans don’t always see the world as they do. I am saddened by that. Read above: the anti-Muslim comments - I find that truly backwards and sad. Replace the workd Muslim with another religion, would that be acceptable? But yes, Huffington Post is awesome. Once can only discuss Katie Holmes’ new haircut for so long, know what I mean? Have a good Friday.

Tamlin:
You are the one that is coming across as laughable, not piper with a low. Enough with your agenda pushing. STFU!!!

209 lady t @ 03/28/2008 at 7:07 pm SOS - No it’s not racist if you don’t like Obama’s as a candidate but it’s racist if you are basing your disdain because of his race/gender/etc…

Many people want change but controllable or comfortable change and that’s what Hillary Clinton is offering with her same ole political tactics and personal agenda. I am very verbal about the politics in America right now. I don’t believe any one candidate has all the answers but I do believe in the lesser of two evils or the choice that I am willing to live with. I do believe that we would be doing our country a great disservice to elect Clinton as the democratic nominee or even worse the presidential nominee. How sad is it for our fellow countrymen to side with a hot headed, left wing Republican who may not even out live his presidency because of fear. Fear of what. That’s the question. What are the lesser of your two evils. I pray it’s not race or gender. We must be responsible in our choice for ourselves and our children’s children. Change begin within and we cannot change holding on the same ole politics, the same of way of thinking and same ole leadership…
——-
Exactly! It is my opinion that all candidates are ambitious and will promise anything to win. The winner (the executive branch) will find out that it isn’t easy to give the voters what he/she has promised during the election, because he/she needs the agreement of other people (the legislative) branch.

It also think that many people actually should not be allowed to vote, because so many don’t pay attention at all between elections, and then come election time they are swayed by looks or a sexy voice, etc.

As for change, racism won’t change overnight. It takes at least one or two generations. You can’t legislate to stop racism.

Should I send a sympathy card to the Demo candidate? I think I will - I feel sorry for him already

Tamlin,
You are wasting your time here. You know who will be the president. NOT Obama, is John McCain. Clinton supporters won’t vote for Obama for sure. No matter who is Dem candidate, John McCain will win.

You’re entitled to your opinion. She was the one who called me a fraud because I said I had friends who worked in Los Angeles and in the industry (as I do) who definitely confirm that Brad is supporting Obama like his buddy Clooney. She went on the attack. She does not know me. And she automatically assumed that I was a liar? How dare she? And what agenda? Cause you think it makes a difference to the Obama campaign or for that matter any campaign what I say on a celeb blof? Come on. I know better than this. Just as you all don’t have an agenda, I don’t either. I was making a point given the subject at hand - the link between Obama and Brad. And I further said that link is more connected since people who work for Clooney’s company have said Brad is supporting Obama. Do with it as you wish.

There’s a reason why Saraicita posted this in Spanish. So why can’t you just leave it alone? Unless you want the discussion to turn into a different direction!

If you’re bored, READ a book. You might learn something new!

No, way too early, Joy! A week is long in politics, let alone almost eight months.

Tamlin, We now are all well aware of your opinion. So why don’t you please chill out and drop the matter. . You keep saying the same thing over and over.

Tamlin:
My point is that YOU are the one that started making an issue out of all of this and you don’t seem to want to back down. You are trying to start **** here, it is pretty obvious.

The beauty of America is that the candidacy is not guaranteed for anyone,. I find that cool. My mom comes from a country like Japan that is simply not as Democratic as the US so it is cool that here we never know. November 5 we will know. Not before that. For the record, Hillary has the biggest challenge because Obama has the most popular votes and if she gets the nomination - she will have a larger number of people not voting for her than vice versa. Again, the math is a fact: she can’t win unless superdelegates come in. Just a hard fact - has nothing to do with emotions. It is mathematically impossible. Either way it is exciting and I am inspired.

Obama ‘08! The people have already spoken loud and clear - the proof is in the numbers. No way around the math.

As Obama would say: won;t waste my time with your silly stuff. If you choose to believe that then so be it. My first point was simple: Brad is supporting Obama based on what some good sources told me then the attacks came cause god forbid Brad would do such a thing!!!! Silly stuff: enjoy it.

I remember this story from a few months ago when Brad was promoting MIR. I get that there’s a lot going on and some journalists are preoccupied with the elections, but dammit, there’s a need for someone to serve as a continuity person or whatever you call it in order to avoid this needless repetition.

================
Yes, this story is pretty old, I saw it a while ago myself

OK. We get it. Brad might be supporting Obama. Good for him. Free country. Please get out and VOTE in November everybody. But please please vote, OK?

Hiya Tijen and Bailey—OK, I’m done with political cr@p…BTW—IMO who ever is elected is going to have to clean up the big pile of mess GWB left us with and it ain’t fair…That jack-ass is going to go fishing and hunting w/o being accountable for what he did to this country and to this world!!! JMHO…
OK, I am going out shopping with flamingo who now has her semi wings :-) BBL…,

Tamlin, we got your point, Brad supports Obama, ok, you can leave for good now. If Obama got more votes before, he will get less votes after today because of you.

tamlin the idiot! @ 03/28/2008 at 8:07 pm

got to hell!

Hey, I read these posts and I agree with Tamlin and all the other cool headed Obama people, Obama is a unifier and represents what Brad and Angie believe in. Makes sense. Hillary is divisive. Polls show she can’t win against McCain. No way. I like Obama. I think it is cool if Brad supports him. I voted for Obama. Time for a change in America. 8 years of Bush and 8 years of “Monicagate” is enough! Enough Clinton and Bush - we need change in America. No more oral sex in the oval office. And Miss Hillary, being First Lady is not experience. I mean, do I want Laura Bush as friggin’ President?

Have fun Guli!

oi,tamlin got a back-up right away.

What about you! You attacked me, and you don’t even know me. You automatically assumed that I was a racist. How dare you! This is not how college-educated people behave/react.

I have news for you. I am a mix of East and West and I have a Muslim brother-in-law. The fact that I don’t care for Obama has absolutely nothing to do with race or religion! I have different races and different religions in my extended family. I’m very much a citizen of the world.

Now, why don’t you GET LOST!

# 247 Voice of reason @ 03/28/2008 at 8:07 pm —And you are a unifier…. ROTFLMAO!!!!! And you agree with that but case,, wow lady tkae a chill piill…..
