Brad Pitt & Barack Obama are Related

The View gals asked Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama this morning to help clear up the rumors that he’s related to Brad Pitt.

“I guess we are ninth cousins something removed or something,” Barack said.

Jokingly he added, “I think he got the better looking side of the gene pool.”

Barbara Walters couldn’t agree more: “We thought you were very sexy looking (applause). Don’t you think so? (to audience)”

Apparently, the other Democratic presidential candidate, Hillary Clinton, is cousins with Pitt’s partner, Angelina Jolie, twice removed.

Um, yeah. Just so you know! Watch the clip of Barack on The View here.

Brad Films at Capitol

Brad Pitt was seen filming the new Terrence Malick movie Friday inside the Capitol. The notoriously private Malick keeps his productions untra hush hush, so not even the studios will dicuss “Tree of Life” with the media. But the actor and a sprawling film crew at the landmark were conspicously making a movie.

A witness said Pitt was sitting on the floor of the Rotunda and that filming took place in the Senate. Security was thick, and trailers were clustered on streets near the Capitol.

“Tree of Life” has been shooting since Feb. 28 in Smithville. The film co-stars Sean Penn and is set for a 2009 release.

jill you crack me up! lol.

oh so true @ 03/29/2008 at 5:33 pm

I would rather see pix of The bigger and better actor Sean Penn.

oh so true @ 03/29/2008 at 5:38 pm

All these years and movies you would think Brad would be a better actor by now. At this point folks keep putting him in their movies because he’s so famous. it can’t be about talent because he is below average and very overrated as an actor.

The Daily Mail says that Angie is constantly tired because she has to be in Texas with Brad Pitt. Uh! Give the woman a break and let her stay in one place … like Paris. Hello any Angie fans would know that she would rather be in Paris or Africa for her pregnancy. like … DUUUUH! can you imagine her tattooing Texas on her arm ? I don’t think soooo.
——-
She is pregnant and has four kids. She must be tired. I think most if not all people would rather be in Paris, but I’m sure she also wants to be with her family. When she is working, he is there for her, and now he is working, she’s there for him. The family is together. I think it’s wonderful. Maybe sometime after the babies are born and can be left with nannies, they will take off for a break, just the two of them.

And you actually believe what you read in The Daily Mail? Get out of here!!! Didn’t think any true idiots like you still existed !!

Angie is loving it in Texas. She and Brad just spendt 2.5 days together on the Texas Coast while he filmed, sans the kids, a little prebabymoon. While Brad works Angie and the kids are able to get out and around without paps following them 24/7, there are excellent medical facilities in Austin, lots to see and do as a twosome and as a family, near NOLA, good weather, friendly people, and family all together as usual.

Angie only enjoyed being pregnant and in Paris and Namibia because Brad was there to experience the pregnancy with her. Same reason she (and Brad) is enjoying Texas. Brad’s words, “being in Canada in a log cabin while filming AOJJ with Angie pregnant was MAGICAL”.

You are entitled to your opinion, of course, but ‘below average’ and ‘overrated?’ Are you a qualified critic? Why don’t you just say that you don’t like him.
At this point he wants, and is in a position, to choose his roles, which proves that he has done very well. That’s all that matters.

For a country that was based on religious tolerance we certainly have NONE when it comes time to put our money where our mouths are.

*Stands and claps* (((BRAVO!!!)))

I am very dissapointed at the shameless intolerance this country is showing towards Muslims. However, what’s even more surprising to me is how some fans of the JPs, a family of many different religions/backgrounds/cultures, are also showing intolerance towards Islam.

Religions don’t kill people. People kill people. Some people use religion as an excuse to kill other people, and that’s not fair. But neither is assuming that all followers of that religion are the same violent radicals, because believe me, they’re not. ;)

514 oh so true @ 03/29/2008 at 5:38 pm

So you don’t like Brad, huh?

Who cares what you think?

You are just an empty puff of nothingness. HeHe.

Brad is at the top of the Holywood pyramid, has been in in the movie business for 17+ years, is an ALister worldwide megastar, and gets his pick of the roles he wants to play . He is currently making a movie with The Terrence Malick, TM who only works with the best.

Now what movies have you made? What directors have you worked with? What film school did you attend?

Brad has been consistently under-rated by idiots such as you who can’t see past his outer package into his inner character actor self.

Jealousy does not become you.

All Hail, AG! She rocks! Er…except for that Porgie fixation…

I just want to add one thing - I know CHRISTIANS of different denominations in the same house who can’t get along with each other. Blathering on about whether or not Obama went to a Muslim school when he was freaking SIX YEARS OLD is just plain stupid. I’ve got a cousin that went to a Catholic school her whole life…girl turned out to be the biggest ho in the neighborhood.

All this talk of whether or not Obama ever practiced the Muslim faith is silly. The man isn’t a Muslim now and even if he was the Earth is somehow still managing to turn. For a country that was based on religious tolerance we certainly have NONE when it comes time to put our money where our mouths are. If Obama were Jewish then people would be trippin’ over that as well. Get over it. This is supposed to be a country based on freedom from religious persecution, yet Obama is being dissected for his religious beliefs. America thy name is Hypocrite.
——-
We think it’s silly, but if he ever was a Muslim, and apparently he was (read the links I posted) then it makes him, in the eyes of Muslims, a murtadd (apostate).
Do we care? Does it matter? No, but he is running for the office of president, and if he wins, ‘this status, clearly, would have large potential implications for his relationship with the Muslim world.’
Sounds very in-the-past to me. This is 2008! Why don’t posters who are Muslim jump in here, and tell us this is much ado about nothing.

Btw, I understand he lived in Indonesia for five years, when he was six to eleven. The question is, why has he found it necessary to try and cover up the facts of his life in Indonesia.

Why do you believe the “Daily Mail”, it is a tabloid. They have no idea whether Angie is tired or not. Angie is fine. Being in Texas does not make one tired. Don’t believe everything you read. Of course one can get tired from just being pregnant and having 4 kids especially one about to hit the terrible twos. Angie looks fine to me and as one posted noted is smiling more this year then past.

I just don’t get it, these folks that don’t like Brad and Angie beat the real fans to the threads. I really think that subconciously they really are interested in the lives of Brad and Angie and deep down inside like them or have an attraction for them. As for actors, Brad is a good actor! I love his movies, he really likes to go for movies where he can show more then just being a pretty face. Angie is a good actress also. Brad will keep knocking at the door and one day will get an oscar and Angie will get another one.

Does Brad Pitt pay you to post this crap ?

Yeah, y’all tried to say the same thing when she was looking anorexic for a while. “she is so happy and is glowing with love for brad.” the whole time she’s looking frail, unhappy, and sick. uhhhh huuuuuuu!

Jill @ 03/29/2008 at 5:19 pm

Orchid, if you already knew those letters were ridiculous, what was the point of posting them?

Anyway. The anti-Muslim hysteria is getting totally ridiculous. When I see stuff like this:

Blacks
And
Muslims
Allowed,

I tend to get just a tad p*ssed off. You can push stupidity only so far.

??? I wasn’t referring to those letters, Jill! I was answering your post, #446, and I didn’t use the word ‘ridiculous!’
I read those letters before I posted them, obviously. I found them most interesting, and wanted to share them with anyone who might be interested in other people’s views too. Not interested, don’t read.

Why should any presidential candidate should be obliged to account for anything he did, as long as he didn’t commit a crime, or anywhere he lived, before he reached his majority?

His family lived in Jakarta, Indonesia, from 1967 to 1971 because his mother’s second husband is Indonesian. So what? He was six years old. It wasn’t as if he had any say in the matter.

Every time I have a quick look in FF (to laugh at their silly posts) I can’t believe their ignorance. Give them this little report and they will spin it to their liking, meaning it totally changes into a negative story.

In case you haven’t heard, Sean Penn doesn’t take too kindly to paps being in his face. And since paps have mouths, he really wouldn’t want to hear questions about Petra or Robin.

Be grateful that the paps are leaving him alone; after all, an actor with such greatness can’t it if he’s in stir.

Man,
After all of these years, Brad is still capable of pushing fan boys’ buttons. I get that Pete Wentz has money and may not necessarily have the type of bathtub that is caulked against the wall, but does his bathing area has heavy enough foot traffic that would warrant his safety concerns? Maybe it’s just me but bathroom usually have doors; closing and locking it could assuage some of his anxieties.

Here’s my problem with Hillary…
If she rolled with the so-called ‘cold-blooded b*tch’ thing, instead of crying in New Hampshire, talking about the Lewinsky thing on Tyra Banks (fcuking Tyra Banks), and kept Bill on a tight leash during this campaign, then maybe, I would’ve been more inclined to vote for her.

To me, she’s wishy-washy about her feminism; she sneered at the ’stand by your man’ types and yet, she stood by her man when Lewinsky happened. She also represents the gulf in the feminist movement — women of privilege thinks that the women’s movement should mainly be about their right to work for the sole purpose of personal satisfaction, whereas women of color and poor women, who have been working throughout history, would like to be satisfied at work, but would prefer fair pay, benefits, reasonable working hours, etc.

I can’t help being suspicious about a woman who plays to the stereotype; my state governor, Jennifer Granholm, did the same thing, and poof, we’ve been in a one-state recession and she seemingly has no ideas on how to get us out of it. Not Granholm and Clinton are two different women, but again, playing to the so-called universal female experience is a lot like what ___ has been doing for the last three years; I didn’t like it when ___ did it, and for an accomplished woman to do that now, is just insulting.

Unfortunately, my state is saddled with a high-profile black politician, Kwame Kilpatrick. I’m not based in Detroit, so I had nothing to do with getting him elected, but that doesn’t detract from the bad vibe I always had for him. The vibe feels a lot like the vibe I had toward R. Kelly, back in the early 90s, before his ‘affection’ for underaged girls was on the world stage. I don’t get that vibe for Obama; I also think that if Obama’s elected, he won’t allow his inexperience to be an excuse to coast through the presidency.

I could be right or wrong, but I have to say that despite the pundits praddling on and on about how the losing camp will vote in the general election, this has been the best election, in terms of voter engagement, that I have seen in my lifetime. Personally, I would hate for apathy and coma-inducing boredom to be seen as the preferred emotion for selecting a president.

I will vote for Hillary any day, any time. I will NOT vote for Obama. If Hillary does not win this nomination, I will not vote in the Gen. elections. It’s time we gave a woman a chance.

I so agree! It would be a fabulous first time, but it’s a man’s world we live in. Add to this the fact that Hillary is running at the same time as an African-American, who obviously gets the support of a very enthusiastic African-American majority. It’s the first time for them too.

Hi BAMPZS fans! Looking forward to a new thread, preferably a harmless one, like the family boarding a plane.

Grief is an MF!!! It is something that invades your life and it takes forever to find a way to deal with it. Some stop eating, some can’t stop eating. I never saw an unhappy Angie with Brad and their kids. I saw in Angie what I saw in my own mirror for years and still see, just not to the extreme I once did for years after losing a much loved and very close family member.

To lose your mother, your anchor whom you could always count on, who raised you as a single parent, at so young an age, had to be an overwhelming lifechangeing experience for Angie. Brad being there for Angie, taking care of all the details associated with her mom’s death, providing crucial total support to Angie both immediately and afterwards, said to me that he is a great hearted and good man. He could have flaked out as many would have done, but he did not. That is why no matter what negative cra* you or anyone else ever says about Brad, I will never see him as other than a standup person. Brad could easily have walked away and delighted some of his current critics, Angie had to be going through hel* in private, but he stayed the course.

The snap unfounded diagnosis of anorexia unqualified people like you rush to make in this society without any basis is disgusting.

Hi Cook!

‘Long time no exchange!’

I still haven’t tried making pupusas. I do make panadas, which is similar, dough/pastry in the shape of half moons with a pretty edge, with stuff/filling in them. When I have time I make very pretty edges, and I always use plenty of filling, more than the bought ones.

When are you and Felinelilly going out on a date? Be sure to tell us. Only kidding. Felinelilly might want to kill me now.
