Conan O’Brien Gives the Thumbs Up
Conan O’Brien gives a thumbs up after he and his wife Liza Powel have dinner at Locanda Veneta on 3rd Street in Los Angeles on Thursday.
Conan recently was a guest on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, which turned out to be an interesting interview. Conan reportedly will be taking over Jay Leno’s gig next year, however, there’s been rumors that Leno isn’t quite ready to give up his throne.
WHO DO YOU THINK is the better late night host? Conan or Jay?

I’m a die-hard Jay Leno fan so it’s hard to be objective. Conan is more of an acquired taste that I have yet to fully acquire I think. There are times when I think he’s hysterically funny and others when I find myself staring at the tv screen in blank incomprehension.
Conan owns them all. Though I do love Jay :)
Can’t stand either one of them. I’m a Letterman girl. He is soooo much better than either of these two!!

Conan is hilarious, but I don’t know how Leno fans will take to him since Conan’s sense of humor is not “middle-of-the-road”.
Hopefully, Conan won’t change his sense of humor in order to maintain the Leno audience. I would rather that he keep his own show in NY, if that were to happen!

I like either of them better than Letterman. But by taking over, what exactly does that mean? That Conan’s just taking over that time slot? I don’t understand what other change there would be.

Conan all the way. I really hate that Leno, at the ends of his jokes, waves them off as if to say “nevermind.” That always annoys me. If Conan’s joke get a small laugh, he just does this deer in the headlights look and it’s hysterical. That’s my two cents. I’m excited to see Conan on earlier.

Gosh I LOVE them both. Jay Leno is such a classic he’s been around for years. I mean his jokes are okay but i love the other things he does like headlines and jaywalking and weird products. Its those tht I look forward to. Plus hes like a manly man with his cars so i find tht hard for him to be so funny. He’s a good guy and I think we’ll all miss him. I’m so happy for Conan too. I feel this is his big promotion after working from a writer to like 12 yrs of his own show. He deserves this big debut and I’m happy for them. His comedy skits are strange sometimes but overall he’s hilareous. I support them both

People think Jay is funnier— but those are his WRITERS speaking for him. Has anyone laughed out loud during an interview at something Leno said?? No. Conan is great on his own, and will shine with better writers!

jay can’t conduct an interview. his jokes are a joke.
did anyone notice when “trying” to interview conan, it was like having a convo with that one lame friend everyone has that always changes everything about them? whatever conan would talk about, jay would try and interupt by saying, “well i did that, or i remember, or blah blah”
you help along boring guests that are shy not conan o brien! i never watch leno unless he has an interesting guest like conan.

Jay has gotten more and more mean spirited. I love Conan but sometimes his show is juvenile. When he moves to be the host of The Tonight Show, he’d better make it a more sophisticated show, with lots of great humor and skits like Carson. He is closer to Carson, but he’s got to lose the stupid college-type humor.
I always like to watch Letterman too.

Leno is so yesterday I say good riddance! Not that I don’t like him but come on he’s burnt out already!
I say let Conan keep his own show and either end the tonight show or let someone else do it. Really I mean you’ve got Craig, Conan, and Dave what more could you ask for?! Unless Conan really wants the gig but does he? I mean who’s ego could give up a show that carries their name so well?
