I’m not so sure about the storyline you mentioned before either. I think it will be totally lame. But if they focus on prom I can imagine that the “battle” will be more about who would be the king (kind of obvious) and the queen. I believe that Gabriella does not want to be the queen but EHS will vote her instead of Sharpay.

And one more thing: I’m very curious about Gabriella’s going back to EHS. In HSM, she was the sweet, innocent, clever and shy girl. In HSM2, her character became more mature: she was the only one who could stand up for herself. However, I think during ‘Everyday’ her character was not valid: she danced and sang without hesitation, stage-fright, etc. I understand that she became a young woman after ‘Gotta Go My Own Way’ but her performance was out of her role. (Of course, I loved the storyline and especially Troy’s face in the beginning of ‘Everyday’.) Now I would like to see which Gabriella goes back to the school. If it is the HSM-Gabby her performance in ‘Everyday’ will be more questionable, but if it is the HSM2-Gabby I’m not so sure about her role anymore because I think nobody can change that much during one night/summer.

I hope you can understand the gist of my random ideas. Sorry because of the language but I’m not English or American.

Melli, No one is 100% positive that the post on Hollywood Records MySpace page is accurate or not. As far as anyone knows, the concerts are still on and the post seems to be written by someone younger or someone who doesn’t have a grasp on grammatically correct English. Besides being inaccurate as to her movie situation, it just doesn’t sound right. I wouldn’t totally believe that post….

it sucks that its been pushed back but i understand cos vanessa is really busy this summer. i’d rather have it then so she can fully support her album when she comes out with it, rather than having it crammed with her schedule. she probably has more songs to finish and touch it up here and there.
if you look back at the threads she only started working on it winter 2007 and crammed up when she had to do ‘Will” . then go back and forth from filming to finish up for a tentative summer release. but i’m glad they gave her more time. hopefully it wont interfere with the press release of HSM3 as she might not be there with the cast to promote the movie. Look at what happened to COrbin Bleu, he was MIA the whole time!! Well i hope not because this is the last film for all of them. sorry if this is long but all i’m saying is Vanessa is/going to be really busy, so good luck to her!

That does not make it true. Unless Hollywood Records has an illiterate person writing articles for them. They wouldn’t be paying a writer big bucks to write an ungrammatical sentence with this: “fans who have WROTE us.”

It should be FANS WHO HAVE WRITTEN US. Anyone writing for Hollywood records knows his/her grammar.

We can only hope that Hollywood Records have people who have better grammar who would be writing such releases. I read too many things in today’s world in magazines and newspapers that make me shake my head. People don’t know the difference between their, there, to, or too to name a few things. On these threads we all make many typos as we are just hurrying along and speaking informally. That is understandable. BUT we do get people who sound like they are not older than 8 writing things—-and I’m not talking about people who don’t have English as THEIR first language.

Anyway, when it comes to an “official” announcement from a big multi-million dollar enterprise you’d think they would have someone who is like a speech writer writing it and someone doing a proof-read before releasing it. (But then again, I often wonder about proof readers too.)

It wouldn’t matter to me if I was writing to a corporate boss, here on JJ or or on a myspace page, I would try to use proper grammar or go to the extent that my education level will take me. And someone working for a place like Hollywood Records who would have the authority to release such information should have at least a HS education and should know how to word it more professionally and intelligently. Big business people didn’t get there by not having some smarts or wanting to better themselves in areas that count. Being able to speak well is one of those areas.

Whoever put that on the myspace page probably was young and didn’t know any better and unfortunately many people reading it didn’t grasp the problem either. Mnay of those people may certainly have been elementary kids but if they were English speaking people over the age of 21 and didn’t notice it…well, what can I say?

If it’s an announcement coming from a big company such as Hollywood Records, they would most certainly care about the grammar.

The bad grammar is a dead giveaway it was written by a kid. And a kid who didn’t know the following:
1. Vanessa finished filming Will eleven days before the note was posted.
2. Vanessa has concerts scheduled throughout August. Press releases have already gone out and some tickets are on sale.
3. Disney Radio is premiering a single release on April 9th.
