New mom Jennifer Lopez leaves a hair salon in New York City on Friday sans hubby Marc Anthony or her twins.
Despite the reported $3-$6 million paid by People magazine for the photos of J.Lo’s twins, rumors are circulating that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s new baby photos will fetch almost double that!

Celebrities that put their kids deliberately in the public eye need their heads examined. I would never sell my children’s images. These kids have little chance of a normal life when mom and dad take money for putting them out there in the public arena. Disgusting IMO - making a commodity of one’s children…what are they thinking?

It’s just fitting for them to pay big amount to Brad & Angie’s baby pictures because they donated all of them to charity & I bet the same thing for another baby pictures. Can’t wait for the new Jolie-Pitt’s baby.

It’s arrogant for some celebrities to think that anyone will pay for their rights for the first pics. They need to stop. The practice is as old as the hills though. It’s not new. Tom Cruise messes up in many ways but he did the exclusive the right way. No payment required

People (cough….justa mia…) don’t understand that if these celebrities don’t put there baby pictures out there first, some pesky paparazzi can get rich off some snapshot of their newborn baby. Selling the pictures to the highest bidding magazine puts the control in the hands of the celebrities- where the power should be.
I’d rather have a celebrity like Brad and Angelina get the money which they donate to charity rather than some intrusive pap making tons off of intrusive pictures.
Yolly (@11): I couldn’t agree more. I am not aware of any other celebrity couple who has donated the obscene amount of money they receive for the pix of their baby to charity. The rest can rot if they are pocketing the money, but the Jolie-Pitt’s at least try to do some good with our sick celebrity obsessed culture.

I think it is good to sell the pictures and get it over with. Otherwise these parents and newborns will be hounded till they get a baby picture and that would prevent them from taking the babies to parks, beaches etc.
It is good if they donate the money. It is just as fine if they pocket it. This is a capitalist society and whether we like it or not babies/children are also commodities. Don’t we sometimes use our children to get favors from our partners, parents… those are exchange relations too!!

I thinks its more annoying when they brag about their charity work, its like what are Brad & Angelina trying to prove. Or they just want to secure their places as hollywood royalty.
I think it’s weird when they offer up pics of their baby, but then become offended if people make fun of the way they look. Word of the wise: Don’t show baby pics unless your baby is super cute!
It’s the only time the celebrities are ever going to get compensated for the millions made off their kids by the media so I don’t see why they shouldn’t take it while it’s being offered. And it is being offered.
Besides, celebrities like Brad and Angelina will just donate it to charity anyway, so does it really matter how much it is?

I’m all for paying celebrities for baby pictures as long as they donate the whole amount to charity.
