New mom Jennifer Lopez leaves a hair salon in New York City on Friday sans hubby Marc Anthony or her twins.
Despite the reported $3-$6 million paid by People magazine for the photos of J.Lo’s twins, rumors are circulating that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s new baby photos will fetch almost double that!

as you know on previous thread, they already spent that they have spent nearly $700,000 on the baby items. At least the Jolie-Pitts didn’t spent the money they got on their kids . . . that is the difference!

#17 i agree but does ANYONE really care what any of these celebrity babies look like. I wouldn’t cross the street to see what one of them looks like. Babies pretty much look the same to me. I don’t give a crap if mommy and daddy are famous. I guess you could say I have a life!!!
The people that pay to see what celebrity babies look like would buy a ticket to see celebrities turds if they could.
I do think there is an element of absurdity to paying people millions of dollars for a picture of newborns…who often look alike at that phase. I understand it because paparazzi will hound to be the 1st ones to get the picture making normal life difficult. I do agree with donating that money to charity, especially to the millions of children who are suffering in the world. J-Lo does not need another $3 million to live more excessively.
I must say it is interesting how there are some celebrities/actors who don’t seem to have the same problem with the paparazzi. People like Tom Hanks, Denzel Washington, and Meryl Streep are all amazing actors who live normal lives. I think the paparazzi stalked stars are ones who like that level of attention to some degree. There are some who will just attract it naturally because of who they are…like Pitt and Jolie, but secretly I think the others like the ego boost it gives them to feel like they are so important that they are stalked.
$700,000 on baby things!!!!!!!! How obscene!!!!!!!!!! Babies need so little ar first. They will outgrow most things before they have a chance to wear them or use them. They are babies not baby dolls to play with!!!Where does one go from there? How hands on can you be if you have 2 round the clock private duty nurses? She had stated she never wanted to breastfeed. I guess it just isn’t a photo op event.
does anybody know the charity they are donating to? She is involved in several, i’m sure she wouldn’t seem so grasping as to keep $6 million for herself….
It doesn’t matter if they get paid that amount for their babies if they give it to charity like Angie & Brad. But I’m sure those 2 cokeheads won’t be doing the same thing.
And another thing….what makes them think that the world is waiting with bated breath just to catch a glimpse of their precious bundles of joy? Their babies are adorable but so are all babies.
Like many of you, I understand the immense attraction of the Jolie-Pitt following and that of a very few other celebrities ( I won’t mention any names for fear of starting WWIII) but I just don’t get JLo and hubby’s attraction. It seems self-initiated, self-imposed, and forced on us. Other celebrities have babies, pictures are shown, we all ooh and aah and life goes on (as it should). JLo seems to think she gave birth to royalty and People magazine is feeding into her delusions of grandeur by paying such a high fee and then letting her dictate what they can and can not call her and say! Outrageous.
After reading the comments, I guess she is too grasping to give away her money.

I don’t think with celeb blogs like this and CBB, that first pictures being published will keep paps from hounding the celebs. There is always the first picture, but then they want the 2 month picture, the 4 month picture and on and on. I don’t think Jennifer wil be out much with her twins though. Twins are too high maintenance.

I guess you are right. She will be out with the twins only for the occasional Kodak moments along with the baby nurses, body guards, drivers, nutritionists, stylists, make up artists, wardrobe handlers (we all know baby’s occasionally spit up),etc. She may need the $6 million to cover her everyday essentials. LOL. It is an unfortunate side effect of being a celebrity that everytime you step out in public you set youself up for public ridicule for every move you make. It seems to be a lose-lose situation. If they show their children too much they are publicity seekers and if they protect them by hiding them away, speculation arises that something is “wrong” with the baby.

Another thing, while she always looks stylish (she has the money!), but what’s up with the larger swollen nose she’s had since she was pregnant? Something is weird with JLO’s face,now, it always looks swollen and puffy.
I say good for them! If the public is so bloody obsessed with every detail of their lives and invade their privacy then they ought to be making something out of it! Besides… Brad and Angie would put the extra cash in good use.

When some women are pregnant their face changes a bit (fuller) and it is common for a pregnant woman’s nose to broaden a bit. It just takes some time to go back to normal.
This *I don’t know what to call her* is going to have some (a LOT of) other (furry) babies killed with that money. I DESPISE her for it.
But when the money goes to Brad & Angelina (before going to charity), I’m more than o.k. with it.
Jlos’ face and body will take a while to settle back to what it was pre pregnancy. She had twins just a few weeks ago for goodness sakes. Give her 6 months to be back in fashionable form. Looking at these pictures, she won’t even need six months. What made her huge were the babies and excess water, not fat. Now the babies are out, so she should almost be what she was before give or take 10-15 pounds. She always kept up with her dancing so she’s always in shape. She’s a disciplined person when it comes to health & fitness. She’s should write a book on that. As far as the money, I’m sure she’ll donate some to charity but won’t make a big deal about it. I like what Brad & Angelina did. They stated that the money would go to charity and that’s that. But the media, blogs and fans have gone on and on and on about it making it seem like a never ending reminder. Can you blame others for being sick to death about hearing about it? It’s not Brad or Angelina’s fault that the media can’t shut their mouths and gush about them. Most people pee about 3 times a day. But if the media found out about it and you were famous, they would make it seem like you pee all day long talking about it to death, reminding people that you peed, lol.

I stand by what I say. Andl these 2 should publicize it, would make them look less self-centred and selfish!! They must know what people are saying/thinking about them. They can’t be that stupid. Saying they are giving some/all of the money to charity would make people think better of them. Think what you will about the Jolie-Pitts only doing it for publicity (which I don’t believe), at least THEY DO IT! Sheesh, how can giving to others less fortunate be put down as a selfish act?? I don’t put them on a pedestal, they give because they have lots to give and they are grateful for that and share it.
As for the question of celebs selling their baby’s pics, I think it’s inappropriate and boring.
Pimping out your newborn for money is wrong. And I don’t care if it does go to charity. The sums that are supposedly being paid are obscene. And as for the theory that they need to release official pics or they’ll be hounded for that 1st baby shot, just pose on the hospital steps like some have done. Or arrange a “candid” outing at a time of their choosing and get it over with that way. These celebs all know how to play that game.
And really who cares? I just don’t need to know what J. Lo or Nicole R. or Christina Aquilera’s babies look like. Newborns kind of all look the same anyway. Unless it’s the child of a relative or close friend, I can’t imagine why anyone would be interested in baby pics.
I don’t understand why people are bit#hing so much about Jlo and Marc. They didn’t approach the magazine, People approached them for the exclusive, rather than having creepy paps kill themselves over the first picture Jlo and Marc gave it to People on their terms. I think that Jlo and Marc will do something nice for some of their favorite charities. As for Angelina and Brad, I guess White babies are worth more than latino babies, that’s why she is getting more money cuz quite naturally it’s not like this is her first baby.

“These celebs all know how to play that game.” You sure have that right. All of this is so calculated. It is ok when they are promoting themselves but not when the children are treated like pawns in some PR game.
hmm.. i guess as long as it goes to charity.. then great. but if it doesn’t then these are a bunch of crappy parents. it would be like my mom selling my baby pictures to a bunch of pedophiles. gag.
she is ugly . . . she has a nice body though, but she has an ugly, ordinary, common face. All expensive stuff she wears are the things that make her look nice, without those things . . HER FACE IS ORDINARY, ugly at times.
