The kids in the audience were underwhelmed by his appearance. They definitely wanted someone else to be there. This might have been a test appearance for the Prince of Persia movie. Maybe Bruckeheimer and Disney wanted to see if Orlando was still popular with the younger set. I seriously doubt that Zac will get the role, but they might look elsewhere if neither one has the box-office appeal. Maybe Emile Hirsch would fit the bill.

Well, if you had actually seen the original film, you would know that there are several fight scenes. Not just gun play, but hand to hand. If it is set in Hong Kong, I can see martial arts being involved. Those marks look just like some of the injuries that my husband received when he started kick-boxing. His wrists, forearms, and legs were constantly bruised, and several times he had to quite training for a few weeks to let some of them heal. The most painful ones were when he overdid his training, and the bindings on his protective gloves rubbed his wrists raw. He was so hyped up on adrenalyn and endorphins that he didn’t notice the injuries until he went to take off his gloves, and some of his skin went with them. But you go right ahead and think that he is a liar, and that Miranda is an abuser, if that’s what makes you happy. God knows that he can’t do anything right in your eyes.

I’m with the team that thinks she must have something on him so he agreed to this whole spectacle for a period of time. I think they had broken up before and she is now the one going after him to try and hang on. Even with Kate they went to parties even if they went in diffent times or doors. This one gets the gas station and a trip to the bike shop where he won’t be in the same frame. Even the hotel in palm beach was for her shoot so ob didn’t pay for that I’m sure it was a comp from VS.

I did hear many months ago that what had happened was Orlando and Miranda were put together as a kind of PR set up to see how much Publicity they would get as a couple. it did well. And Miranda continued to use it on and off thru out last year.. when her and Jay split- which was mutual, she and Orlando were advised to do the PR thing again and get the full whammy of publicity, and the rest they say is history, I had heard that both of them want to stay single so in doing this they are being able to get the bost of 2 worlds- not saying it is true, but I was told this way back in November, in all this crazy shiit, who knows anymore!

As for how long: It doesn’t have to be a long time. Some have suggested just long enough so it ddidn’t look like she was dumped and then they will have some sort of split where it doesn’t look as bad.

I disagree with you on saying its logical to assume they are together. I think if they were together for real they would not have done a pap fest the way they did. It’s more logical to me looking at that that there was another motive. That is not how normal couples act-like they have something to prove. The reality is that Orlando needs the PR too whether his fans want to accept it or not. He quit that movie, and there haven’t been any confirmations regarding another movie project. You know this is what I have never got, why the fuq did he buy a house, make it eco friendly outside London and he has hardly spent any time in it- I thought that he may have been spending 6 months in the US and 6 months in the UK, but he obviously isn’t, its weird as his house in the UK cost more than his LA house, it is like he is scared to go home for some reason. Before he was offered the role in An Education, I would have believed that he was living in LA because he couldn’t get work in England. That is obviously not the case because he doesn’t have the roles lined up while living in LA either. IMO he’s living in LA for two reasons:
(#1) It’s cheaper than England; he hasn’t really earned that much money through the years to live they way he does (parties, travel, houses, etc.). After you pay all of the PR people, agents, etc., it’s not that much. Plus London is an incredibly expensive place to live.
(#2) He’s closer to directors and producers, the Hollywood press, and, it’s quite possible that he’s closer to Miranda. IMO he doesn’ t get much respect (why should he) in England for his acting abilities. I’ve heard him called Orlando Three-Whiskers or something equally silly from the British press.

Re: the dog situation - IMO he uses the dog for PR stuff. It makes him more of an “every man” type person. He’s just like the guy next door with his dog. At one point last year, he would make an appearance with his dog for the paps about once a week. It seemed strange to me at the time that a photog would wait around for a whole week at a dog park to catch Orlando. Most of those shots were on Wednesdays like a pre-set date at the dog park. Use your own imagination. BTW no other celebs were spotted at that dog park AT ALL. The only other dog park shots we got were the obviously fake Mischa Barton set after her DUI arrest.

I have wondered too if he has had a falling out with his mom and sister. You never see them with him. The only time they were even seen together was when his cousin had that gallery thing. His dad was in LA after the holidays but no mention of mom or sisiter. RE: why he’s living in LA after he said he would never go that route. People change according to their own experiences. We have no knowledge of how he has behaved on movie sets, etc. Directors, actors, other movie insiders may say that he is so nice, etc. They certainly wouldn’t tell the truth bad about another actor if it were something because it would look incredibly bad for them to bad-mouth another person. Orlando’s acting ability does leave something to be desired and that’s after all of the editing, multiple takes and so on.

IMO Orlando’s career started to go downhill last year at about this time. Right before the release of POTC AWE he had nothing else lined up and there were rumors that he and Keira would not be back for a POTC4 if one were made. I remember seeing Orlando and Johnny on the red carpet in LA for the premiere. It was on E! live. Orlando did not look like a happy camper. He looked like he wanted to disappear when he was being interviewed. Johnny on the other was incredibly happy and it showed.

Then it came out that he would do a play in London. I think that was to try to regain some credibility for his career. I don’t think that worked as well as planned. He was ultimately compared to Dan Radcliffe and Dan won that battle.

This whole “taking time off” notion is a PR creation. I think he has either been offered very small roles, no roles, roles in movies that are incredibly bad, etc. Between making the POTC movies, he should have been making smaller more artsy movies to give audiences and directors/producers more looks at his abilities.

He probably should terminate all of his current agents and PR staff. They have misguided his career for several years and it may not be able to be put back on the track. Doing the PR stuff is very bad for a serious actor. If he wants to have longevity, he should offer himself up for good projects for little/no money. There are a lot of small movies that end up doing well critically.

Orly strikes me as a someone who doesn’t run on all cylindars. People he works with describe his as helpless and someone who needs to be taken care of. I don’t think he has any idea what he has gotten himself into. I think he could end up married with a kid, while she is cheating on him with the next chump before he realizes it. The kid will insure that she always has a hook into his money and is always paired with him. This girl is like an ocotpus she will never let go until she gets what she wants. Her old bf jay should be sending orly a thank you note for taking her off his hands.

He has either changed so much or was never really that person.
I think the person that said this girl was toxic was right on the money.
She is going to ruin him one way or the other. I think the whole family is very low class and only have a bit of money because of the way they sold out their daughter so young. thats why I think it is so sad that he has effectively cut himself off from his family and friends (except for visits that they make to him, cause he isn’t going home much) all he has are the vultures that feed off what he makes advising him, and they are looking out for #1. If Miranda makes him more visible so he can make more money for them then they will use her and him any way they can and spin it for him so it looks like the right thing to do. It is so sad he came off Rings as a hot young actor with a lot of crediiblity and he has spent it all. I think he could do really well, he has the kind of face and voice that people are drawn to and with some more work on his actiing and the right kind of direction he could be really good. I remember him saying that he knew that being on top would come to an end and that the people who were building him up would be tearing him down. What is so sad, is he still could be doing well. I want to like him, i want to respect him, but this is not just hitting a wall this is him giving me no reason to still care. Sure take a break, but come on that excuse that he has been working so hard for so long is getting old. He had time off between movies sometimes a month or two and that was after doing the publicity for them. Most people get two-three weeks of vacation a year and they aren’t working on a movie set where everything is taken care of for you by personal assistants. So well over six months off is a bit excessive. And then this pathetic life he is living in LA is more than sad. Partying, being seen, playing silly games with this trashy girl, he is the one responsible for briniging himself down, not his fans. If he got his act together I would still go see him, but it doesn’t look like that is gonna happen as long as he has Miranda hung around his neck.

I have always thought he wasn’t good with common sense. I don’t think he is dumb, but he doesn’t have the ability to see what reality is. And of course all of the people surrounding him don’t want him to. They want him to do what he is told. The actors that make it are smart, they may have representation, but they take a very active part in what they choose to do. Johnny Depp, can you imagine what his agents must have thought of some of his decsions? If he doesn’t have the ability to make smart choices he needs to find someone who is totally on his side, who cares about him and not just their bottom line and let then help him. That group he is with is known for only caring about their image and has thrown some of their clients to the wolves when they see their money making abilites diminish. I am thinking they are seeing him as more b list and so not worthy of their best any longer.
