A REPORTER AT LARGE about the search for a lost civilization in the Amazon. In 1996, a team of Brazilian adventurers headed into the Amazon jungle, determined to solve “the greatest exploration mystery of the [20th] century.” In 1925, British explorer Colonel Percy Harrison Fawcett and his party were attempting to uncover a lost civilization hidden in the Amazon-the City of Z-when they disappeared. Over the next 70 years, scores of explorers tried and failed to retrace Fawcett’s path. The latest attempt, in 1996, was led by Brazilian financier James Lynch. Fawcett had been one of the last of the great amateur archeologists and cartographers. He had kept his Amazonian route secret, making it almost impossible for anyone to retrace his steps. Describes Lynch’s expedition. Lynch and part of his team were taken hostage by Indians and later released. Last February, the writer decided to see if he could retrace Fawcett’s route and unravel the mystery of what happened to him. Between 2003 and 2005, 15,000 square miles of the Amazon were cleared away by loggers. In 1951, the Kalapalo Indians confessed that they had murdered the Fawcett expedition, and they offered, as proof, Fawcett’s bones. Writer describes the delicate negotiations with the Kalapalo chief, Vajuvi, to allow them passage into Xingu National Park. Describes their arrival at the Kalapalo settlement. Mentions Vanite Kalapalo, who described the negative effect a new hydro-electric dam would have on the tribe. The next morning, the writer went fishing with Vajuvi, who told him that the bones the Kalapalo gave the British in 1951 were actually the bones of Vajuvi’s grandfather, not Fawcett. Vajuvi said that Fawcett’s group had left their settlement and gone eastward, despite warnings about hostile Indians. For several days, the Kalapalos saw Fawcett’s campfire smoke above the trees, but on the 5th day it disappeared. In 1955, Fawcett’s youngest son, Brian, conducted his own search for Z. Fawcett’s disappearance-and his well-known interest in mysticism-spawned the minor theory that Z was, in fact, a portal to an alternate reality. The writer decided to follow Fawcett’s path to the Kuikuro village. Mentions the Kuikuro chief, Afukaka. Michael Heckenberger, an archeologist doing field work in the village, showed the writer evidence of several large ancient moats, an old palisade wall, ancient pottery, and a system of large roads and canals near the village, all of which dated back to 1200 A.D. Heckenberger told him they were standing in the middle of a vast ancient settlement. “Poor Fawcett-he was so close.” Altogether, Heckenberger had uncovered 20 large pre-Columbian settlements in the Xingu. His work has been hailed as proof that the rainforest once contained civilizations nearly as rich and complex as those of the Inca, the Maya, and the Europeans. For 1,000 years, the Xinguanos had maintained artistic and cultural traditions from this highly advanced civilization.

I am a long time fan of these two, have read every article ever printed in English and many other languages about them, and NEVER EVER saw any pixs of them kissing near any trailers or anywhere else not in the MAMS script and NEITHER DID YOU, LIAR.

Marriages can only be broken up by the two who are married to each other. They must make the decision to split. Brad and his ex made the decision to split. Jen and CourteneyC said there was no cheating in 2005. Brad has said repeatedly there was no cheating. Wouldn’t they know what happened better than you a complete stranger who knows nothing?

The ex said the marriage was over in the summer of 2004 (Harper’s Bazaar June 2006 article). So what if they didn’t announce it until January 2005? That was their business not anyone else’s. Sheryl Crow, Jen’s close friend, just said a few weeks ago that Jen dumped Brad because she was not happy with him. Well if Jen did not want him, and dumped him, why blame Angie?

The question you need to ask yourself is why have you not moved on from January 2005? You need to seek immediate mental health treatment as you appear to delusionally believe that you were once married to Brad Pitt.
