We were left speechless this morning when we first heard the news regarding the break-up of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. Two years of 24/7 Brangelina coverage all falling apart before we had even had our morning coffee.

But, if the truth is to be told, we were not totally surprised. There was always something about Brad which made us think this thing was never destined to last a long time.

Rumors of Mr. Pitt’s penchant for other women — particularly other older women — have plagued the entity we know as Brangelina ever since it came into being. First there was talk of Brad and Barbra Streisand, then Brad and Jane Fonda, and now the clincher — Brad Pitt and Dame Judi Dench.

Naturally, our hearts go out to Angelina during this most trying time, as she tries to acclimate her latest adopted child to the American way of life. She’s already got the market cornered on pathetic women who can’t move on, so now she’s reaching out and sharing that knowledge with her Fanistons. How sweet of her.

As for your “so what if she doesn’t have a steady guy”? You are either the biggest moron on the planet or the biggest moron in the universe. Personally I think “universe” is overreaching your abilities, but hey, go ahead and empower yourself. It’s a shame that your idol doesn’t share your “It’s no big deal” attitude because for the last 3 years she’s spent the majority of her time ensuring that her name is attached to some unfortunate man’s in a romantic way. X and Huvane have 99.99% of the single men in HW running the opposite way when they see her. Two Springfield businessmen and a foundation backed by Hollywood superstars Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have established a fund to support basic student needs at area schools.

Former ServiceWorld Computer Center owner Doug Pitt, Morris Oil Co. owner Jim D. Morris and the Jolie-Pitt Foundation, along with an anonymous donor, have created the Care To Learn Fund.

The founders will give $3 for every $1 contributed, and funds will support Springfield schools in meeting students’ basic needs, such as hunger, health and hygiene. Foundation for Springfield Public Schools will manage the fund.

Every district school will be eligible to receive funds, based on free and reduced lunch percentages, according to a news release. School principals, counselors and nurses will identify students in need and make requests.

Doug Pitt – brother to Brad Pitt, a Springfield native – will detail the initiative at a 1:30 p.m. news conference Wednesday at Campbell Elementary School, according to the release.

We would not mind if it was, as you say, “once in a while”, but if you go back to the previous and this thread, you will find many posts/gossips related to the X. It is pretty hard to skip, especially when it is not coming from a troll.

Angelina and Brad are inspirations. They inspire others to give to their fellow humans. They teach us compassion, kindness and tolerance.

BTW, some of us do ignore the troll’s posts. We really don’t bother with their posts. We know they are here to say anything negative about Angie and/or Brad.

I don’t know who “wtf” is. I wrote the post under “let’s move on” because it is that simple. There are many of us who want to move on to Pitt-Jolie’s present and future. You don’t need to rely on insults or verbal abuse, name-calling when we say how we feel.

It’s all good - that’s the football player, right? I haven’t watched that show but I may have to tune in. Several people at work seem to really enjoy it. I stay away from the “reality” shows, don’t usually have time to watch much tv. But this one sounds like it might be worth watching. I like to watch people dance. especially ballroom type dancing - it’s so elegant.

Like you, i watch no reality tv, but i’ve watched dwts from the beginning because kelly monaco from general hospital was in the first one. She’s the only woman to ever win it so far. This one has some great people. I wanted to watch it just to see priscilla prestley, lol. She’s kicking butt! You’d really enjoy the show, it puts a smile on your face.

Building contractor Ron Charles told Life & Style Weekly that the home has a full-sized WWE wrestling ring in it. “The best part of the house is a separate gym area with a real [World Wrestling Entertainment] ring in it,” Charles told the magazine.

No liar, both Brad and Angie said they saw a time in the future when they would be doing fewer films, neither ever said they were going to quit making films entirely. Both focus on their family and charitable interests, with Angie even taking this year off from making a film and having another baby rather than rushing to make 4 films back to back like some others do. As Angie said last month her passion is her family, Brad plus their kids. They keep their family together no matter where they are and are great hands on parents whose priority is their family. How hard is it to tell the truth!!!

I had to laugh when I saw the blog police were out and about earlier with their objects to us continuing to make fun of X. What they don’t get is that it’s FUN to make fun of X. So what if it’s like shooting fish in a barrel? The dumb ho keeps setting herself up for cheap shots and it would be a crime if people didn’t take advantage of that fact. What I find hilarious is the amount of energy and posts expended telling people not to keep talking about X. Talk about spitting in the wind. I should have pulled out a reply I posted to someone the other night who said X had moved on. The day X stops conveniently showing up places, ie the beach or a restaurant, whenever Brad or Angie has a major event in the news is the day I’ll stop making fun of X. That MIGHT be an indication that she’s really moved on. But like I said the other night - Brad & Angie have about 10 major happenings over the course of the rest of the year. You can bet your left butt cheek that X will manage to have her photo taken doing something frivolous on at least 7 of those occasions. I’ll move on when X moves on. Needless to say…I fully expect to be making fun of the beeyotch for years to come because if nothing else she’s an inveterate famewhore.

Speaking of liars - quit looking in the mirror. Brad never said they were going to “quit the movie industry”. He said that “in a few years” movies would be less of a priority. Angie herself said they were “getting in some work now, and then we’ll go away for a while”. BTW, in case your little addlepated brain couldn’t make the jump producing and “possibly” starring in a film are not contradictory to their claims. “Possibly” implies there is a higher likelihood that he was only produce and not act in the movie.

Oh yeah - and the last time I checked Brad & Angie didn’t have to have your approval to change their plans. Beats the hell out of me what they’re thinking. Obviously you know what’s better for them than they do.

When most Trinity College students went somewhere warm to get a great tan during Spring Break, I decided to do something a little different. I headed to New Orleans, LA along with about 700 other college students for the first Clinton Global Initiative University Conference (CGIU).

The most enlightening (and attractive) part of my weekend came on Sunday, when we went into the lower Ninth Ward to help with a community service project. The project is called “Make It Right” and was founded by Brad Pitt after Hurricane Katrina.

As we were busy with our project, Clinton arrived, as did Pitt. Both Clinton and Pitt walked the crowds, speaking to the students that were helping out. As they came around, I was able to shake Clinton’s hand, as he talked with students about the work that was being done and the impact that young people can have on this world. Also, I too a picture with Pitt, as he shyly walked around and thanked people for coming out.

Students push resolution for UT divestment in Sudan

A group of UT students wants the university to divest all business interests in Sudan, and they’re taking their resolution to the student government for a vote Tuesday night.

The say the resolution comes in response to the government-sponsored genocide in Sudan’s western region of Darfur.

Big Plans Are Slow to Bear Fruit in New Orleans

NEW ORLEANS — In March 2007, city officials finally unveiled their plan to redevelop New Orleans and begin to move out of the post-Hurricane Katrina morass. It was billed as the plan to end all plans, with Paris-like streetscape renderings and promises of parks, playgrounds and “cranes on the skyline” within months.

Newly planted grass grows along St. Claude Avenue in New Orleans, but the school on the street remains abandoned.
