Brad Pitt Finds ‘Lost City’
Paramount has bought the rights to a new manuscript entitled ‘Lost City of Z’ and Brad Pitt is set to produce and reportedly star in the film.
The Lost City of Z is based on the real-life search for a lost city in the Amazon and Brad is set to produce the film through his production company Plan B. The non-fiction book is about British explorer Col. Percy Harrison Fawcett, who was attempting to find the so-called City of Z when he and his party disappeared in 1925.
The book, based on David Grann’s September 2005 article in the New Yorker, will be published next February.

I know somebody who’s seen a rouch cut (possibly just the assembly) and says it came in at 3 and a half hours.
They also said it was a REALLY good 3 and a half hours, so there you go.

All of this floral largesse will be served up to the public Friday when Patio Planters holds the first of its annual French Quarter Courtyard tours as part of the French Quarter Festival. For once, those of us who press faces to wrought-iron grills will get the keys to those hidden, jeweled kingdoms.
LIFE IN THE HOOD: Cieutat has watched the Quarter evolve from residential community to condo haven over her 40 years there. And, whether shabby chic or T-shirt heaven, she couldn’t imagine living elsewhere.
“It’s like a little village,” she said. “If you have an appointment, you’d better start out half an hour early, because you will see so many people you know on the way.”
Once, she said, she’d hear the carriage drivers call out as they passed: “See that lady? You’ll see her on television.”
Then mega stars Brad Pitt and Anjelina Jolie moved into the house across the street, drawing away the attention of the carriage trade.
“I thought I’d have to put on makeup every time I went out on the balcony, with all the paparazzi,” Cieutat said with that telltale twinkle in her eye. There haven’t, however, been any real ripples in life on the block.
In fact, Cieutat says she has never spotted the celebrity duo, though she feeds brownies to the bodyguards stationed outside their house. “Free security,” she said with delight.
And once, while unloading groceries from her car, a tourist ventured near to ask if Cieutat was, perhaps, Pitt’s grandmother?

DiCaprio Buys ‘Green’ NYC Condo
NEW YORK (AP) — Every time he comes home, Leonardo DiCaprio is practicing what he preaches. The environmentally conscious actor has bought an apartment in Riverhouse, an eco-friendly building overlooking the Hudson River.
The purchase was confirmed on Friday by Christopher Daly, president of Sheldrake Organization, the developer of the Battery Park City complex. Occupancy is slated for this summer.
The 264-unit condominium glass tower overlooks the river and a park, and boasts low emission paints, a 24-hour fresh filtered air system, a water treatment facility and rotating solar panels.
DiCaprio seemingly also will have everything at his fingertips. The David Rockwell-designed high-rise features an indoor 50-foot lap pool, media cafe, fitness center, landscaped terrace — and dog spa.
The building also will house the City Bakery and a branch of the New York Public Library.
DiCaprio has served on the board of directors of the environmental organization Global Green USA. He also owns a hybrid car and had solar panels put on his Los Angeles home.
The 33-year-old actor has won Oscar nominees for “The Aviator” and “Blood Diamond.” He is currently filming “Shutter Island,” directed by Martin Scorsese.

Now, more than two years later, in a city rebuilding only in troubled fits and starts, the festival arrives again (April 25-27 and May 1-4) with another positive jolt. The 2008 Jazz Fest marks the return of the Neville Brothers, who have not played the event since Katrina, and the festival’s full seven-day schedule.
E News said Brad would be filming in NO for Idol. I never read that Brad would be in LA.

I think BP part was taped and will probably include when he was in the Lower 9th Ward for the CGIU. I am just guessing but I read it was a taped segment. I doubt he will be in LA. Reese also taped her part when she visited New Orleans.
