OlderJude Law Films ‘The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus’
Jude Law arrives in Vancouver, BC, Canada on Wednesday to film The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus.
According to Terry Gilliam, the director of the film, Jude, Johnny Depp and Colin Farrell will complete Heath Ledger’s unfinished role.
Gilliam has said, “We are looking forward to finishing the movie and, through the film, with a modicum of humility, being able to touch people’s hearts and souls as Heath was able to do.”
Added Gilliam, “Since the format of the story allows for the preservation of his entire performance, at no point will Heath’s work be modified or altered through the use of digital technology. Each of the parts played by Johnny, Colin and Jude is representative of the many aspects of the character that Heath was playing.

Poor Jack ;-)! Thank you. I will do it. If none of you heard of me anymore, do not worry, I am only somewhere dancing in the cloud with my thought. Even sometime I wonder, how did I start to be in love? Was it a step or a rush? Or was it the look of the deep green eyes, caressing vein, and kissing my pain?

holiday is a must rien…….why should jude not affect you the way he does us….he’s simply irresistable……

I bought “The Holidays”. My lover looked at me, smiled and with the look in those big blue eyes that make me forget about Jude from time to time, said: “Jude Law, ha? Oh, it will be a bad night for me.”
But we watch it. And we cried and we laughed together. Everybody was fantastic! Even Jack!! At the end of the film my lover said, “He has such beautiful eyes!”
“Yes.” I said. “And I am melted…” Oh, Jude….!

I saw “Sleuth” 3 days ago. I must say-if you haven’t seen it yet,run to the nearest cinema in your town!It’s the most intense movie I’ve seen ever!
Siupinys, I hear ya on Sleuth. It’s brilliant! Unfortunately the distribution and publicity for that film were woeful so most people won’t be able to see it in the theatre. Watch it on DVD though!

Now that you said it, I realize that Sleuth was running in a very short time in theater.
I read in Rotten Tomatoes, Jude was not so great, even was accused being imitating Caine. It is not a fair critics, I dare to say. I myself will listen to Jude’s fans - like us - or somebody who can say fairly about the movie without comparing him with any other. It is hard enough to play with a legend like Caine, let alone to be compared with him!
The acting in Sleuth is great by both Jude and Michael Caine. Do see the film. Don’t pay attention to Rotten Tomatoes.
I love Sleuth.. Jude was very good in it.
I thought he was great in Sleuth. My husband liked it too - he thought Michael was better but he thought Jude was good - and he’s not really a fan ;)
My husband was exactly the same. He thought Michael Caine was great. He’s a very long time Michael Caine fan. He has a little trouble pouring on the praise for Jude but I think that’s mainly jealousy. [smile]
my husband saw sleuth and thinks jude did a fabulous job. i think some men are uncomfortable with jude in the last scene because he is so sensual almost homoerotic…..his acting deserved an academy award….jude could give a master class in acting…also his face is a work of art….if leonardo davinci saw jude first ….mona lisa wouldd not have been his subject. it would have been jude law smiling down at us at the louvre.
My husband was not uncomfortable with the last scene. He’s very secure in his sexuality.
My husband doesn’t really have any issues with his sexuality - I think he’s mainly not that interested in Jude as I am for obvious reasons *lol* I can understand why he might be a bit tired of me talking about how wonderful Jude is all the time ;)
My husband’s the same way. He gets a little tired of Jude, Jude, Jude. But really he’s pretty tolerant I think. He’s not going to tell me that Jude was great in any movie because he knows that I already think he is wonderful.
And, really, my husband is a Michael Caine fan. He’s seen a lot more Michael Caine films than I have.
Well, I guess I am the lucky one! My husband “loves” him too! He does not really care about anybody sexuality. If, the character is gay, then why not?
The last film from Jude (it was 2 nights ago) that we watched was “Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil”. Rotten Tomatoes can get rotten if they like, but my Jude spoke in Savannah accent!!!!! Can you just believe it, Girls?! With flowery words and the accent! After talk like a real gentleman from London, then like a street hustler from down Savannah. I must have gone out of my head!!!
My husband only said: “Damn! He is a good actor! No wonder that you are so crazy about him!”

It looks decent to me. But they ask me to use Javascripts, and I am a little bit reluctant about it. You know, they are so many viruses running around in the net, so at least I want to be sure about my compi by turning it off.
