Scarlett Johansson - “Anywhere I Lay My Head” Album Cover
The Snow White-esque album cover for Scarlett Johansson’s debut album, Anywhere I Lay My Head, has been released.
The album is comprised almost entirely of Tom Waits covers, with one Scarlett original, ‘Song for Jo’, as its centerpiece. Dave Sitek produced and members of Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Celebration, and Stars Like Fleas play on the release. A pair of tracks; “Falling Down” and “Fannin’ Stree” feature guest vocals from David Bowie.
Anywhere I Lay My Head drops in stores everywhere on Tuesday, May 20. Check out the track listing here.

I love it!! Looks very ethereal, sort of like fairies in the woods. Perfect for listening to Tom Waits, dreamy, moody music.

i wouldn’t be surprised if the album is decent given all the help she had on it. but until she starts singing live gigs i don’t think she’ll really have anyone’s respect. anyone can sound good with post-production voice correction.

I’m puzzled at two things.
Why is she considered to be attractive/talented/useful? She is simply one-dimensional and as pedestrian as a Lance Armstrong bracelet.

She makes indie movies, idiot Lina!! And for indie movies, they do well.
If you can’t see her considerable talent, that is simply because of your lack of knowledge and refinement, and not something to be posting and broadcasting. Maybe better if you read, go to museums, study film, and get some culture.
Scarlett is simply one of the most talented young women in the world today. I applaud her attempt to spread her wings and try other forms of expression, and you notice she isn’t going the typical pop route.
She is not a typical young Hollywood, talentless hack looking for fame. She is an artist.
