I agree with you, Danity Kane. I’m still not impressed with that fish-lipped, averaged-talent boy wonder. I still don’t get it. And I wish they’d pull a surprise and just get rid of him already — or at least put him in the bottom three so he sweats a little. I believe he’s given all this praise for nothing. I mean, he’s mediocre in my eyes — and to my ears.
In the meantime, I’m wondering what’s up with the judges and their take on Syesha? I think that they have something against her. I thought she was excellent tonight. But Randy and Simon had to find something wrong, even when she hit those Mariah Carey notes. I believe that she’s a contender for at least the final four. I sure hope she gets there despite Randy and Simon’s words against her.

jason castro was the best of the night! brooke was pretty good too. dont like david archuleta at all, and i dont think that was his best performance at all, he needs to go. hes not as great as he is bragged up to be the other remaining guys are better.

MICHEAL JOHNS has my vote!! he is amazingg and despite what everyone else thinks, i also really like Kristy Lee Cook, maybe thats just because i do like country music a lot, but w/e i think she is amazing, not all her performances are greattt, but all in all she has major potential, i think. at least i wish there was someone out there that thought that too… and i am not really feeling David Archuleta too much, yes he can sing, but he is not unique and original etc. he is a wimpy 17 year old who could pass for 10 years old (sorry but he does look very youngg!) and he looks awkward on stage most of the time when he performs. okay that is my sayyy… Carly Smithson is also greattttt and Syesha too i guess… everyone else, Who cares??!

Brooke gets on my nerves with that fake-ass smile and crying of hers, and the whiny way she gets when she doesn’t do well or gets criticism. She started off being unique. But I quickly realized that she really is mediocre, IMO.I thought she butchered Carol King’s song tonight.

i don’t understand all this hype with david cook. i mean he can sing but to call him original would be going too far. those rock versions of songs that he did weren’t his - they were by other bands/ artists. in short, all the compliments he’s been getting for being original and all that, well, he didn’t really deserve them.
that’s just my opinion. maybe he’ll actually start interpreting songs in the weeks to come instead of just delivering someone else’s version, i don’t know. until then, i won’t be calling him the next american idol yet.

Both Davids butchered their songs… especially David C… I’ve been an OLP fan since I was like 12 and when I heard he was doing that song I got super excited… until he opened his mouth… David A *shudders* another teen age favorite toast… even Jessica Simpson did a better job… although Robbie Williams did it best…
I think ALL the girls did well tonight but Carly was my favorite. I’ll admit the end of her performance wasn’t as intense but I can see her growing into the preformance thing…

I have to agree with most… David A. does seem to be getting the media push..I have to say I didn’t mind his performance yesterday, but he was not my favorite.
My favorite yesterday was believe it or not Kristy. I had tears in my eyes. Perhaps I just like the song, but she did a pretty good job.
As for my all time favorite, David Cook, I was disappointed. I did not like his song yesterday and also was not very impressed with his cookiness (perhaps it was nerves..).
I also enjoyed Micheal Johns and Castro. Sayesha was pretty good too.
One more comment.. I think that the age comment is irrelevant. We have Olympians who are quite mature and ready for gold medal performances as early as 15-16 years old. Why is singing any different.

I really got the feeling that sh will be leaving this week, and it’s a shame, because she’s amazing. I’m from Portugal and sometimes I’m a little shocked when I see the american’s favorite contestants…David A. is so…average! I really hoped that the top 3 were 1-David Cook 2- Brooke 3- Carly. But Im sure that’s not going to happen, there will be 3 guys in the finale…unfortunately.
Kirsty was brilliant, I like the fact that she comes out evrey week and tries so hard. Some of the others get one bad comment and they can’t deal with it. I think Brooke was good too.
