OlderAngelina Jolie Joins the Washington Club

A radiant Angelina Jolie greets and signs autographs for fans as she leaves the Washington Club in Washington D.C. on Tuesday.
The 32-year-old pregnant humanitarian took time out of her busy schedule to speak at the “”Iraq, Education, And Children Of Conflict” forum before the Council on Foreign Relations. (Angie joined the council last summer.)
“Angelina Jolie is accomplished in her field and has demonstrated serious interest in issues such as Darfur, international education and refugees,” Lisa Shields, vice president of communications at CFR, has said. “As such, her profile fits very well with other young professionals we’ve selected as the next generation of foreign policy leaders.”

Also - as far as I know Brad & Angie didn’t meet in Dec 2003. The first time they met was on the set Jan 2, 2004. Obviously they’d seen each other at industry events because there’s the pic of Angie & BBT sitting 2 seats away from Brad at Cannes, but as far as their first meeting for M&MS I believe that happened on the set in January 2004.

They first met in December or November 2003 when they had to go through some sort of military training on how to use weapons. ET did a segment on it back when Angie first announced her preganacy with Shiloh. So the MAMS shooting began in January 2004, but they attended a training course together in late 2003.

I’ve seen that training footage. Isn’t that the video footage included as an extra on the first M&MS DVD? I don’t know why, but I thought that was from Feb or Mar 2004.

I don’t know if it is on the MAMS DVD, probably is. But ET showed a few scenes from the training. I remember it because the ET segment was about how their chemistry began and then ET went into talking about the weapons training in late 2003.

Angie and Brad did not meet in person until Jan 2004. I think it was the 1st or 2nd day of the new year. They met on the set of MAMS. They never met in 2003 at all. They have said that they talked on the phone late in 2003 about Angie doing MAMS but that was it. There was also no weapons training until later in the shoot. ET is wrong or whoever watched ET got it wrong.
The first scenes they did were the first marriage counseling scene and the ones in Bogota.
The picture of Brad seated next to BBT with Angie on the other side of BBT was at a theater in Westwood (West LA) (not Cannes) for a showing one of BBT’s movies. IIRC it was The Man Who Wasn’t There. I believe that pic was taken right before the film started. Neither BBT nor Angie were paying any attention to Brad at all in the picture.

Brad had Bono, Tom Hanks and his wife, Mel Gibson and his wife, Cameron Diaz and few others over to a dinner to discuss Bono’s work in Africa, in the Spring of 2004. Bono spoke about it during an interview. And Brad was with Bono in April 2004, when they announced the One Campaign. Bono spoke about Brad during Brad’s interview with Diane Sawyer in early June of 2004.
Bono said he’s met alot of people that say that they want to help and he never hears from them again. He heard from Brad the next day about how Brad would go about helping. He called Brad a great man. He couldn’t schedule a trip to Africa until he was finished with his film work on both O12 and finishing up M&MS. Which was at the end of Oct. 2004. He went from Italy straight to Africa, where he met with Nelson Mandela and the DATA group.
Brad’s second trip to awas when he took Diane Sawyer with him in May of 2005. If she wanted to interview him, a big portion of that interview had to include Africa and the organizations that were helping it and how the public could help also.
The above should have said, Brad was with Bono in April of 2005 to launch the One Campaign. Not 2004.
