Angelina Jolie Joins the Washington Club
A radiant Angelina Jolie greets and signs autographs for fans as she leaves the Washington Club in Washington D.C. on Tuesday.
The 32-year-old pregnant humanitarian took time out of her busy schedule to speak at the “”Iraq, Education, And Children Of Conflict” forum before the Council on Foreign Relations. (Angie joined the council last summer.)
“Angelina Jolie is accomplished in her field and has demonstrated serious interest in issues such as Darfur, international education and refugees,” Lisa Shields, vice president of communications at CFR, has said. “As such, her profile fits very well with other young professionals we’ve selected as the next generation of foreign policy leaders.”

I’m having a good day so far, yeah. Still kind of early and I’m not a morning person, so I know it’ll get better. How about you? How’s the job training going?
DWTS? Let’s see…Jason did really well, he got a 27, two points behind Kristi and Mark. Sheryl and Cristian weren’t that great and the judges let them know it, lol. I think they got a 23, but Priscilla and Louis got a 21. I’m not sure who’s going home, but I hope it’s not her. I really like her on the show. OMG, you should’ve seen Marissa shake it! You would’ve loved it I’m sure, lol.
I didn’t bring a lunch today, I’m gonna buy something. I’m not much of a cook, but I can make the basics. Let’s just say I wouldn’t starve if I had to cook for myself every day, lol. Is that why you chose your moniker, because you’re a good cook?

Hey, I agree with krung krung. The ‘I don’t mind,’ his mentioning Brad all the time part anyway….the main reason being: it really illustrates how some people are born with ‘it’ and are superstars and how others just get lucky. Nothing against George, but his associating himself with Brad all the time, just forces people to acknowledge what a big star Brad is. It makes George seem smaller in comparison. I haven’t read an interview yet where Brad mentions George unless he has a reason..like promoting Ocean’s 13..and even then, not much. so it doesn’t annoy me greatly.
Anything that puts Brad in a great light and shows just how big a star he is compared to his peers, which Clooney’s incessant obsessive almost ‘fan-like’ gabbing about DOES, makes me happy. :-D

ComingSoon.net just got off the phone with filmmaker Vadim Perelman, best known for his Oscar-nominated debut House of Sand and Fog and whose second film The Life Before Her Eyes opens next Friday. He updated us on the progress of his highly-anticipated adaptation of Ayn Rand’s literary classic Atlas Shrugged, which he was attached to direct back in September before his new movie debuted at the Toronto Film Festival.
Perelman told us that he’s finished with the script and just doing a polish on his rewrites but that Lionsgate has told him they want to move forward and start preparing the film in the fall to shoot in December, dependent on the script being in the right place by then.
Even though it’s reputed to be one of the world’s longest novels, Perelman believes they’ve got the screenplay down to a reasonable length, and he told us that actress Angelina Jolie is still very invested in making the film, being one of the project’s “spearheaders.”

LOL no, sorry to disappoint you, but Mario’s partner is Karina. Although she can dance too, of course. Marissa is the Broadway girl. She did really well but got the same score as last week. Sometimes I just can’t figure those judges out.

I see this comes from a tabloid, so it’s prolly not true, but it’s not very flattering to Porgie, is it? He comes off sounding like a jealous hag. The only time Porgie doesn’t like attention is when people are looking too closely at his female companion’s less than stellar background.

Ya know…I really do think Porgie talks about Brad so much because then he doesn’t have to dodge questions about his hoes. Everybody has known for donkey years that Porgie likes his women cheap, but this is the first time anybody’s dared make a big deal out of the type of women he prefers. So…he talks about Brad and uses Brad as a sacrificial lamb in interviews. That and he’s mancrushing big time on Brad. Unrequited lust is always so ugly.
