Jamie Lynn Spears shows off her growing baby bump but keeps things casual in a tee and short shorts in Kentwood, Louisiana on Tuesday.
The 17-year-old pregnant Nickelodeon star was seen leaving “Connie’s Jewelry & Gifts” before she hopped into her Range Rover. It’s rumored that Jamie Lynn’s due date is July 10th.
Currently in the rumor mill: mama Lynne Spears wants Jamie Lynn to sign a pre-nup. Will baby daddy Casey Alridge sign?

Disgusting she should have been planning to attend her prom but at 16 she’s knocked up, setting up a nursey for a baby. The only reason why its different for her is because she’s famous. I know what she did was wrong but mistakes happen! Nobody’s perfect. At least she’s taking good care of herself and getting ready for the baby, at least she’s taking full responsibility for her actions! At least she didn’t get a freaking abortion! She could get into her range rover and remember to fill it up with gas and hopefully pay for car insurance but she could not remember to use birth control while living like a grown women at the age of 16. She has doctors able to give her bc pills or she could drive her range rover to wal-mart and buy condoms.

Stuff happens people! I was having sex at that age, but never ended up pregnant. Who knows why she was not on birth control, I am sure we all wish she had been but what is done is now done. Get over it.

How does this sicken anyone? Shes not the first young Teen to have a baby and she definatly isnt going to be the last one. I am a young mother too. At least she is keeping her baby and going to take care of her child. That is wat a real mother would do. I am very proud of her. She is a really good role model for those young Teen girls who are pregnant and having a baby. she made a mistake and now she has to deal with it and as far as i see so far she is dealing with it and doing as she should. i also got pregnant at 16 and i was also far from uneducated impoverished and indigent little girl, i knew what could happen but chose to believe it wouldnt happen to me. it did. it ended in an early miscarriage but it still happened. i am now 28 and have 2 children under 5 with another on the way and a husband and comfortable life and am respected in my community. had the pregnancy not miscarried i probably would not be living the life i live now and would not be respected in my small community, but i am still the same person as i was at 16, good people make mistakes and people are entirely to quick to judge. as far as i know there is only one who has to power to make the final judge and that one is not human.

Okay… There are so many things wrong with people who want to try and put this poor girl down over an accident (NOT a mistake).
First, many people are talking about how she’s such a horrible role model for young girls because of her pregnancy. A) At least she is taking responsibility for her actions and not having it aborted (even though that would have been her right as well). B) Instead of whining about how “horrible” the kids on TV are these days, try paying more attention to the way you’re raising your own. The media only affects your kids so much, and then comes parenting…
Second, people are saying she has no excuse because she is so privileged, or she’s so stupid for not using birth control. Gossip column or not, you people out there need to learn that not everything is black and white. Maybe her birth control failed her (even the pill isn’t 100% effective), and no matter how rich or how famous she is… SHE IS STILL A HUMAN! If anyone that is putting this brave young lady down is perfect, then allow me to be the first to apologize to you, but I don’t see that happening.
Bottom Line: Negative reinforcement will only make the situation worse. If people expect her to be a horrible mother because she’s 16 and un-wed (or because it’s “inevitable” due to her sister’s methods), then that’s probably what’s going to happen, because she will feel she has no one to believe in her. Can’t we all just give her the benefit of the doubt?
i think its bad how people on here can judge people by the acts of their relatives. jamie lynn knows what she is doing and yeah she may only be 17 but what would people say if she was in the news having an abortion! I was a teenage mum myself and i have a career and a nice home and i did it mainly on my own as my long term partner left me for an older woman. I wouldnt criticise the girl for making the right decision.

My God I never realized how disgustingly ugly she is without all of her show makeup on. She hasn’t even graduated high school and she’s having a kid. How very responsible - great role model. I am a school age teacher at a daycare and every single one of my 7-12 year olds stopped watching whatever show it is she has and whenever her name comes up some of my twelve year olds go on to say how she’s only 3 or 4 years older than them. It’s like they dont know what to think anymore.

I feel like this about the situation. I feel yea she is young. Guess what I am a good example of a young mother who was pregnant at 16 and had her baby at 17. I stood up and became a mother at that age, and may I add did a darn good job! I had my 2nd child at 19 and took care of her too! I am now 23 yrs old married…homeschool parent of 4 kids..
ages 6 yrs old daughter, 4 yr old daughter, 2 yr old son, and 5 month old daughter. I love my kids and husband. And no we dont collect of welfare. I work online as a travel agent and my husband runs his own business(computer). I believe she can be a good parent and I believe maybe she will become more of a better parent thant her sister and mother. Though recent pics and news have shown That Britany is a good mother its just her parents have screwed her up. And now I see Britany as being a good mother as of now! Maybe things will start better for this truely messed up family!

Okay! This is ridiculous for the people out there that is acting in disgust. Have any of you looked around lately, on how many young girls are getting pregnant….
