Jamie Lynn Spears shows off her growing baby bump but keeps things casual in a tee and short shorts in Kentwood, Louisiana on Tuesday.
The 17-year-old pregnant Nickelodeon star was seen leaving “Connie’s Jewelry & Gifts” before she hopped into her Range Rover. It’s rumored that Jamie Lynn’s due date is July 10th.
Currently in the rumor mill: mama Lynne Spears wants Jamie Lynn to sign a pre-nup. Will baby daddy Casey Alridge sign?

I don’t see the big deal. Shes pregnant, SO WHAT! A lot of teens get pregnant at her age, maybe even younger. You people only care because she has a kids show on Nick, and she’s Britney’s sister. And for those people who think she’s ugly, she’s not! Shes actually very hot, i love her in her glasses. Seriously though, its not your buisiness! Leave her alone.
OK so all u ppl out there that think getting pregnant so soooo bad!!! well guess wat i was 16 when i got pregnant with my wonderful baby boy…age doesnt defined how good of a parent u are!!!! so if it just make u that damn sick stay the hell out of her business and quit being so nosy!!!!!!!!! she made a mistake and now she has to deal with it and as far as i see so far she is dealing with it and doing as she should. i also got pregnant at 16 and i was also far from uneducated impoverished and indigent little girl, i knew what could happen but chose to believe it wouldnt happen to me. it did. it ended in an early miscarriage but it still happened. i am now 28 and have 2 children under 5 with another on the way and a husband and comfortable life and am respected in my community. had the pregnancy not miscarried i probably would not be living the life i live now and would not be respected in my small community, but i am still the same person as i was at 16, good people make mistakes and people are entirely to quick to judge. as far as i know there is only one who has to power to make the final judge and that one is not human.

honestly, how old is everyone in here that is picking on a 17 year old girl??? Leave her alone, she is doing her best and just because some members of her family have problems does not mean she will follow in those footsteps. How many members of your families have screwed up, does that mean you are going to turn around and do the same thing!!! Leave her alone and act your ages. you probably have no right to judge people and that would be why you are picking on Jamie.

Yall are somethin else! It is soooo many people havin sex early in their teenage years. My question to yall is, what are yall doin? I’m pretty sure the same thing! Doin it to yall boyfriends/girlfriends and tellin them that yall ‘Love’ them when half of yall don’t even know what it is. I think it is soooo wrong to judge a teenager just because she is pregnant at a young age. She is gonna do what she do. Hell! She almost grown. O! And just because Brittany Spears is doin all that stuff to herself and goin throught a lot and JamieLynn Spears is pregnant, that does not mean they have bad parents. I’m speakin up for everybody who is goin through what JamieLynn is goin through.
Okay… There are so many things wrong with people who want to try and put this poor girl down over an accident (NOT a mistake).
First, many people are talking about how she’s such a horrible role model for young girls because of her pregnancy. A) At least she is taking responsibility for her actions and not having it aborted (even though that would have been her right as well). B) Instead of whining about how “horrible” the kids on TV are these days, try paying more attention to the way you’re raising your own. The media only affects your kids so much, and then comes parenting…
Second, people are saying she has no excuse because she is so privileged, or she’s so stupid for not using birth control. Gossip column or not, you people out there need to learn that not everything is black and white. Maybe her birth control failed her (even the pill isn’t 100% effective), and no matter how rich or how famous she is… SHE IS STILL A HUMAN! If anyone that is putting this brave young lady down is perfect, then allow me to be the first to apologize to you, but I don’t see that happening.
Bottom Line: Negative reinforcement will only make the situation worse. If people expect her to be a horrible mother because she’s 16 and un-wed (or because it’s “inevitable” due to her sister’s methods), then that’s probably what’s going to happen, because she will feel she has no one to believe in her. Can’t we all just give her the benefit of the doubt?
i think its bad how people on here can judge people by the acts of their relatives. jamie lynn knows what she is doing and yeah she may only be 17 but what would people say if she was in the news having an abortion! I was a teenage mum myself and i have a career and a nice home and i did it mainly on my own as my long term partner left me for an older woman. I wouldnt criticise the girl for making the right decision.

The girl was having unprotected sex at 16, knowing what her sister has went through you would think she would be more wise, so no i don’t see her being any better than brittany, but all of us bitching about it isn’t going to change the facts.
THE REAL PROBLEM IS… That Nickelodeon is still airing her show. Now i don’t know about you, but i wouldn’t want my teenagers t.v. role model to be some knocked up little girl. Yes she is taking care of herself and she has the means to provide for her baby, but all those kids watching her on t.v. that think she so awesome may not. I don’t believe kids get pregnant or kill people becuase of the lyrics of a song or what they watch, if that were true i’d be in prison, but i don’t think we should turn our backs on the possiblities that our young kids today are very impressionable.

My God I never realized how disgustingly ugly she is without all of her show makeup on. She hasn’t even graduated high school and she’s having a kid. How very responsible - great role model. I am a school age teacher at a daycare and every single one of my 7-12 year olds stopped watching whatever show it is she has and whenever her name comes up some of my twelve year olds go on to say how she’s only 3 or 4 years older than them. It’s like they dont know what to think anymore.

I think this is no ones business but Jamie and her family. If you guys have nothing better to do than sit around and talk **** about a pregnant teen….then you are some sad people! I got pregnant and had my daughter @ 18. Yeah, I was married, and she was planned, but who cares about how old I was? Jamie is doing her best to take care of that baby and herself, and that’s her business, NOT YOURS! I’ve seen some teenage moms take better care of a child than a 30 year old parent! Go get a life!
