Keanu Reeves: I Want to Star in a Musical
Keanu Reeves has starred in big sci-fi thrillers like The Matrix and Constantine, even romantic dramas like Sweet November and The Lake House.
So what hasn’t Keanu accomplished in his career that he’d love to do? Musicals!
“I’d like to sing and dance, like in a musical,” Keanu, 43, told Live with Regis and Kelly on Wednesday. “I’ve always wanted to do a romance where you talk, and then sing.”
Mr. Reeves then pretended to act out a love scene with co-host Kelly Ripa. Wheel of Fortune host Pat Sajak, who was filling in for Regis Philbin, sat idly by as Keanu and Kelly professed their love for one another. Watch the video of Keanu on Live with Regis and Kelly below.

@ random: Are you a professional critic then? Reeves has been in business for over 20 years, always on top, always with renowned directors. Seems they know a bit more than you about Reeves’ acting abilities.

He was in a made for tv version of babes in toyland with drew barrymoore in 1986. My mom taped it for me and I must have watched it 100 times. Wasn’t that a musical?

I always thought that if Patrick Dempsy hadnt done Enchanted… Keanu would have been great in that role too. I know its not a musical but still.

Still hot and classy as ever. He’s great in every role he plays. Would love to see him in a Musical singing and dancing. True talent transcends time and he is one of those truly talented actors.

He is sooo generous too apparently. I have read in several different places that he gave all the stunt men who worked with him on the Matrix films, a Harley Davidson bike each.
Not only that….his paycheck for the Matrix movie that he made in Australia….he gave it to all the special effects people. He said that they are the reason for the success of those movies and that they deserved to have the money. He said he didn’t need that much money because he has plenty anyway.
He has also donated millions to cancer research.

I know he played bass for his band “Dog Star” or something like that. Yes, I think the name is Dogstar. Anyway, he is a better dramatic actor than a dancer/singer type actor. He is also very conservative. It is nice that he can be playful with Kelly.

The title of the movie is “Point Break” (sorry, can not help it). I love this movie, too. He was simply marvelous there. Did you ever watch “The Last time I committed suicide?” Brilliant! “Matrix 3″ disappointed me a little bit, but “Constantine” made me forgive him again.
He wants to do musical….I am a little bit in doubt. His music is okay, but musical? It is not my cup of tea. But well, he shall try and I’ll wait and see!
