Mike Myers to Host 2008 MTV Movie Awards

Mike Myers will host the 2008 MTV Movie Awards from Universal City’s Gibson Amphitheatre in California on June 1, more than a decade after hosting the show for his first time in 2007.

“Hosting the MTV Movie Awards is like a party, but without having to do beer runs in your mom’s mini van,” the 45-year-old Austin Powers star said in a statement. “We do beer runs in Will Smith’s four-story motor home.”

Nominees for the popcorn statues will be announced next month. Comedian Sarah Silverman hosted last year.

Myers next stars in the upcoming comedy, The Love Guru, out June 20.

This award show just isn’t as interesting as it use to be but I’m pretty over all award shows.

I noticed the typo, too. But seriously, it’s a typo. Let’s give the poor guy a break. We all goof sometimes.
