I have to say it though, I totally disagree with “America”… Kristy Lee Cook has been the worst of the group by far, and SHE should have been on the bottom three AND voted off tonight.

Instead, we have Miss Piggy Kelly Clarkson as the first idol. Till this day I can’t stand her because I always thought the title of the first American Idol winner didn’t belong to her, with all of that screaming and yelling she does, which she thinks passes as singing. Clarkson shouldn’t have one and I’m not impressed. Not even after all of her commercial success. I’m not impressed.

David Archuleta’s little boy Aww Shucks routine grates on my nerves. Jason Castro is too funky for me. (I’m a rocker at heart) Brooke White is sweet but as Simon says “forgettable.” Kristie Lee Cook…well there are no words. Syesha has a good voice but she seems to lack depth and any emotional connection. David Cook and Carly are the only true rockers. I will probably download their songs. All I can say is that this year’s Idol blows.

I think it should’ve been someone else this week, but my gosh, Michael Johns is so not good. He tried way too hard to be Jim Morrison, or rather Val Kilmer playing Jim Morrison and then that impersonation xeroxed a few dozen times. Seriously, he didn’t have anything original about him. I was glad that Randy and Simon were honest with him Tuesday. It looks like it cost him, but seriously, he wouldn’t have lasted much longer. IMO.

He was my favorite…….not only could he sing with passion, he was SO HOT!!!!!!! This is really wrong. I was in shock, I just couldn’t believe it, The audience appeared stunned. Syesha should be in the final four based on talent and voice. As far as Archuleta is concerned, he sucks hard and has a piss poor stage presence. So I have to question the musical tastes of those who vote for him — clueless teenyboppers no doubt.
Ever since Tamayra Grey got ripped off during the first season of AI, I decided that the voting system was rigged by producers somehow. And each year gives credence to my suspicions. Case in point: Melinda Doolittle. Clearly THE BEST of last year. But her appearance wasn’t Idol-like, so they made sure she got off.
I mean, why is it that voters still can’t vote online like other talent shows have allowed? It doesn’t make sense. I think it’s because it’s easier to rig with the phones. Someone should start a petition to demand a new voting system, adding the online contingent. That’s going to be the only thing, in my estimate, that will help to make this contest a level playin field — and take the suspicions away that it’s rigged by producers.

if this show isn’t rigged, i believe what happened is that many people voted for David Cook because he had a bad week and wanted to save him - and in turn Michael doesn’t get enough votes because everyone thinks he is safe.
There was no way in hell that his version of Dream On was crappy enough to warrant him being in the bottom 3 LET ALONE going home over it.
If that wasn’t what happened then Idol rigged it somehow. I just hope that he gets the last laugh - going on to be the next Daughtry. Phenomenal success is what he deserves for getting so royally screwed.

Well, I’m definitely in the minority here. I’ve never liked this guy. He was certainly talented enough, but his pompous attitude really irked me. From the very beginning, when they were singing on the smaller stage, he would be the only one who wouldn’t applaud or stand up on the girl’s night. He always seemed to have a smug, “I’m too good for this”, look on his face and comments to match. I’m glad he was taken down a notch. He is the type of artist that is better off NOT being the winner of this show anyway. Just look at Daughtry.

Under no reason should that Lee Cook chick be getting as many votes as she does in order to stay safe. But to already kick Michael on the week when his last 2 weeks have been his best or even one of the best AI performance that we have ever seen this season is just does not make sense. The logical reason has to be 1) either he is just too good for AI. Agree with Cate #136. He does not belong in this show. He is totally in a different league. And I think David Cook and Carly also did not belong in this show if you sum it up. But Michael is different than Carly. Michael has more dept. He has stage presence.
2) He may be booted out early because he seems not to want to be hold up with the AI contract maybe he has been heard around not wanting it so the producer cut him off early
But whatever the reason , it cannot be because he has the lowest vote. I think the producer cut him loose.
I would not want him to win either cause he does not have to but he should be able to perform at least 3 -4 weeks more.
That’s a damn shame. All these stupid ass people who love that Archuletta Dork must be into ballads - that is all you will get. EVERY one of his songs sound that same. He only has one style - its just not interesting to me at all. Michael Johns actually had talent. To bad for American idol - they will probly end up with another Taylor Hicks - he sure is burning up the charts these days isn’t he……
i’ve been watching the show for years and have been disappointed in the past, but not like this. michael johns was definitely the best. his voice wasn’t polished and he didn’t sound like anyone else. very unique and refreshing. he also didn’t try to mimmick any artist and didn’t pull any cheesey crap like those annoying finger taps on the mic or dumb expressions that others do. he was the most natural talent and not just on the show, but in general. i liked his vocal style as much as some of the older artists from the past, such as eric burden, wilson pickett, etc., and even tom jones ( i have a rather broad musical taste). however, as disappointing as last night was, i do believe he may be better off. after all, you do end up becoming (if i may be so blunt) their ‘*****’ for a while after you win. with all due respect to the show and its producers and all the wonderful things they do such as ‘idol gives back’, he will probably land a better deal elsewhere by getting away from the total commercial part of it. this guy will definitely have a career after this. he’s talented, unique and gorgeous. he’s bound to go very far. it’s still so wild that kristy lee cook is hangin’ on. uggggh. not even in the bottom three last night? i’ve been voting every week religiously, and i hate to admit i completely forgot to this past tuesday night. could my votes have saved michael johns? it would’ve been great to see him the next few weeks. he had couple of rough nights but i think his nerves got to him and song choice wasn’t always wise. however, all that being said, this cat has it all. he’ll do just fine.
and another thing………i know ryan seacrest has to pull the ol’ keep us on the edge of our seats thing by saying, ‘we’lll find out………after the break!’ kinda stuff-that’s what keeps us watching. but i thought it was a bit cruel to announce that last year they give the loser a free pass during idol gives back week, only to tell him he’s out anyway. his face lit up like a kid at christmas and then they sent him up the river anyway. not nice.
No reason to watch now. Great voice and easy on the eyes–WTF are the voters thinking??

He doesn’t deserve to go home at ALL! Michael should have made it at least to the top 4! Everyone, be there when his album drops, blow us away, Michael!
