and i forgot: david cook irritates me, i don’t know why, there’s just that attitude of him that kinda bugs me! (and all the hospital, family problems stuff and all… we’re not judging who’s the more courageous in life, right?)

if this show isn’t rigged, i believe what happened is that many people voted for David Cook because he had a bad week and wanted to save him - and in turn Michael doesn’t get enough votes because everyone thinks he is safe.

There was no way in hell that his version of Dream On was crappy enough to warrant him being in the bottom 3 LET ALONE going home over it.

If that wasn’t what happened then Idol rigged it somehow. I just hope that he gets the last laugh - going on to be the next Daughtry. Phenomenal success is what he deserves for getting so royally screwed.

I think the best thing we as upset viewers can do is STOP WATCHING!!!!!!!!!

That will show them when viewership ratings of the show drops off dramatically over last week - that they pissed people off.

I totally agree with the one dude who said - I just got 2 extra hours of my life back because I really don’t care about anyone else who is left.

Listen to the studio recordings of Michael Johns, his voice is amazing. He will make an awesome album and hopefully will become a HUGE star.

i’m kind of disappointed with the judges also. they attacked michael’s performance just because they pegged him already as a blues singer and not a rocker. what’s up with that?

Maybe this is American Idol! So no one that are not born in America can win this damn thing! He is after all an Aussie !!!! So I guess it is suck for AI if he wins!!! Same goes to Carly. She will be next. But don’t worry Michael, I am from Asia . We love you here down under. We will hope to hear from you soon!!!!!

I know Michael will never be able to Win this thing, AI has already has eyed on their price that is David Archuletta will win it at the end. It is so Obvious. But to already kick Michael on the week when his last 2 weeks have been his best or even one of the best AI performance that we have ever seen this season is just does not make sense. The logical reason has to be 1) either he is just too good for AI. Agree with Cate #136. He does not belong in this show. He is totally in a different league. And I think David Cook and Carly also did not belong in this show if you sum it up. But Michael is different than Carly. Michael has more dept. He has stage presence.
2) He may be booted out early because he seems not to want to be hold up with the AI contract maybe he has been heard around not wanting it so the producer cut him off early
But whatever the reason , it cannot be because he has the lowest vote. I think the producer cut him loose.
I would not want him to win either cause he does not have to but he should be able to perform at least 3 -4 weeks more.

i’ve been watching the show for years and have been disappointed in the past, but not like this. michael johns was definitely the best. his voice wasn’t polished and he didn’t sound like anyone else. very unique and refreshing. he also didn’t try to mimmick any artist and didn’t pull any cheesey crap like those annoying finger taps on the mic or dumb expressions that others do. he was the most natural talent and not just on the show, but in general. i liked his vocal style as much as some of the older artists from the past, such as eric burden, wilson pickett, etc., and even tom jones ( i have a rather broad musical taste). however, as disappointing as last night was, i do believe he may be better off. after all, you do end up becoming (if i may be so blunt) their ‘*****’ for a while after you win. with all due respect to the show and its producers and all the wonderful things they do such as ‘idol gives back’, he will probably land a better deal elsewhere by getting away from the total commercial part of it. this guy will definitely have a career after this. he’s talented, unique and gorgeous. he’s bound to go very far. it’s still so wild that kristy lee cook is hangin’ on. uggggh. not even in the bottom three last night? i’ve been voting every week religiously, and i hate to admit i completely forgot to this past tuesday night. could my votes have saved michael johns? it would’ve been great to see him the next few weeks. he had couple of rough nights but i think his nerves got to him and song choice wasn’t always wise. however, all that being said, this cat has it all. he’ll do just fine.

No reason to watch now. Great voice and easy on the eyes–WTF are the voters thinking??

He doesn’t deserve to go home at ALL! Michael should have made it at least to the top 4! Everyone, be there when his album drops, blow us away, Michael!
