Oh and I believe the Radio Disney thing may have been pre-recorded BEFORE she even went to Utah. Otherwise there’s no reason why Ashley would need to fly back to LA or whatever with her if it was just Vanessa on the radio.

I prefer Sneakernight. I really really love it! It’s upbeat and funky and definitely more mature. Great for rocking out! I think because it’s very different, people that loved her first album might need time to get used to it. But it’s great!

The song was kind of ehhish. I got bored easily. Still love her, and can’t wait to listen to the rest of the songs..they might be better.

Hm… I’m not sure about Sneakernight.

It was ok, I definitely have to listen to it again though.

Maybe it will grow on me.

It’s a different sound for her. Can’t judge yet, but I remember not liking Come Back to Me when that first came out, so it may take some getting used to. The song is stuck in my head though.

Her voice is definitely more mature, which is great, she sounds older and more experienced vocally. If her voice sounds that good on the rest of her album, I’m definitely going to buy it.

I already said this but, I think the Disney Radio thing was pre-recorded. I don’t think she flew out from Utah to LA to premiere her song. I think she had already taped all of that before she left LA and it was just premiering today. I believe she never left Utah.

The interview was pre recorded on the day that Vanessa and Ashley flew to Utah.
They just ask for people to call, but they’ve already pre selected people to ask questions. It avoids embarassing and potentially awkward situations for the artist.

Well, well. I think her voice is much stonger and mature. I loved the way she sang Sneakernight.

However, I did not like the lyrics and the music. I think the song is too simple, as opposed to that, the music itself is too complicated. (Note: Was it only me or did you as well think of The Phantom of the Opera for a minute?)

Otherwise, well done. I realised that she was absolutely perfect but had nothing to do with the music. But I hope she would be successful and wish her all the best.

I am with the group that thinks this interview was taped just before she left with Ashley to go to Utah. She said she just had time to run home, throw suitcases in the care and go — that’s what happened. Then also, two days prior she had spent the day shopping with Aly and they went into a drugstore and she bought Mucinex - which is used for cold symptoms and she had a cold in the interview. She obviously came back from Texas and and New York with a cold. I hope she got better, Utah has had some cold nights and snow since she has been there and it can be hard to throw off a cold in that kind of weather. Maybe that’s why she looked tired in the Idol Gives Back clip Wednesday Night??

Aw…first, the interview segments were fun. She cracks me up and that laugh/giggle is infectious. :lol:

Second, I felt a little mixed hearing the song the first time but it usually takes me a few listens to a song or cd to form a real impression. I’ve listened to it a few times now and I found myself starting to move along to it and enjoy it…I think I like the beat and I think it will be a good song to turn up in the car and enjoy. I look forward to hearing the rest of the album. I know what I’ll be buying June 24th!
