Zac Efron Jets to High School Musical 3
Zac Efron catches a connecting flight at JFK Airport in New York City on Sunday before jetting off to Salt Lake City to film High School Musical 3!
The 20-year-old actor arrived from London after wrapping up filming Me and Orson Welles in Douglas, Isle of Man (the center of the British Isles).
Disney recently announced that High School Musical 4 is already in the works!
“We are writing High School Musical 4“, said Disney Channel president Rich Ross. “Are we going to have all the cast back? Probably not. Will we have some of them? I hope so.”
WHO DO YOU THINK will return for HSM 4?

I’m sorry I keep missing you. Lately my posting has been rather sporadic. There have been some computers problems here and there and my schedule is rather overbearing right now and frankly, I have had a few health matters to deal with lately. But I love finding out about my favorites and I am anxious to see all Zac and Vanessa and Ashley’s latest endeavors.

That’s okayKaren,I know what you mean what you mean about computer problems I’m having to use my daughter’s laptop as my computer literally blew up on me.
I hope that the health problems you mentiond have all been sorted out and that everything is well.
It was nice to see a new photo of Zac and the new one’s of Vanessa like you I love finding out and seeing new info on the cast f HSM but especially Zac and Vanessa, and agree about the security on the set it seem’s very tight this time but they deseve it after all the money HSM has made Disneythey should look after the cast.
I’m sure that once both Zac and Vanessa are back in LA. that we will see moreregular photo’s of them together so I for one am glad that they’re geting this time to catch up with each other and be with their friends and having fun while working which they have al said in the past is what it’s like working on HSM.
But I for one don’t blame any of them for not doing HSM4, personally I think they should have left it at 3 it would have ben anice way to end it,both my daughter and I have said we won’t watch HSM4 if they are doing one.

Yes, I think HSM3 should be the end instead of Disney trying to milk anything more out of it—and that’s certainly what they will be doing and why they are introducing the new characters. Disney, I think is hoping some of the new characters will “catch on” and then saying they would like to get some of the old cast back only helps keep the interest alive for the new project. However, I think Disney may not be fully “rewarded” for their efforts. I think they will find much of the fanbase for the originals because this particular group just meshed so perfectly—particularly the chemistry on that screen of Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens. And I’m not trying to take anything away from the rest of the this cast because we discovered wonderful actors in people like Ashley Tisdale, Lucas Grabeel, and Corbin Bleau and that is why they have gone off to many other projects.
But there are many young HSM fans who may fall in love with some of the new characters and will want to see a HSM4. Then there are always those really young kids who were not old enough to really get into the original group but will be old enough now to watch it and become interested in the new group. So Disney may yet milk some more money out of this thing known as HSM.
I know what you mean Karen the main 6 just clicked and gelled really well but there’s no escaping the fact that who and what caught the atten tion of a lot of people is he chemistry between Zac and Vanessa and the story that they portrayed as Troy and Gabriella becuase of that chemistry that shone through he screen.
To be able to find that again I think would be very hard that kind of connection with a group of people and in partciular the main two is something that does’nt come along very often, which is why I can see why they say that HSM is the new generation of ‘Grease’ which both my daughter and I love, to me the second one was crap the main two leads had no chemistry at all and becuase only one of the original pink ladies came back it jst did’nt gel together at all, lucky for Disney the HSM cast do gel but I still think that 3 should be the end of it.
Like you I like the other cast memeber’s and after Zac I think Lucas will go very far, and they will all do well, but I just don’t think the next lot of HSM wil have the same inpact as the original one’s.
I serioulsy doubt that any of the originals will want to be connectedto HSM4 and whatever come’s after 4 and Disney shold’nt really expect them to be, yes HSM has opened many door’s for themain one’s and I have no doubt that Zac,Vanessa and all the rest will always be grateful for the boost that it has given their career’s and will always have a special feeling and connection to it but they are all moving on and trying new things and going different directions, and if Disney feel that they need the originals from HSM to help boost number 4 then maybe they should’nt be doing a number 4 and should leave it at 3.

i luv hsm but i dont think they should do hsm4 i meen quite while you can because if you continue you will regret not quiting it when you could i mean dont get me wrong i luv hsm but it cant go on forever they had a hit & now they just have to prove that they can acually do other movies accept hsm…

has anyone forgotten what zac looks like? i have. maybe if he goes on tv shows to promote his last two movies we’ll get to see him. but that won’t be until july or august.
i wonder if his fans are losing interest in him and switching to the jonas brothers who are more available.

I doubt Zac’s true fans will grow tired of him just because he is not “available”. Of course, many younger fans—the 9-15 year olds may very well turn to someone like the Jonas Brothers who they see every week on magazines like Tiger Beat or PopStar. However, those fans who are 21 or older will most likely stick with Zac because they know he is talented and is a rising star who many people other than HSM fans will soon know about. He can’t stay a teenager forever, nor is he one any longer. Many of the fans he got through doing HSM are also a little older now too. So, since he is moving away from the above mentioned magazines—which he needs to do as he moves on to make movies with big studios, older themed subjects in movies, seasoned producers and directors, etc—I’m sure the younger fan base might “forget” him or move to the younger stars that are coming out now. However, Zac is not likely to be forgotten and he most likely will gain a lot more fans who are older once 17 Again and MAOW come out in the theaters. Then we always have HSM3 to look forward to which will also reignite the flames of the youngsters.

Okay, let’s use some logic here, since Disney isn’t by saying they HOPE some of the original cast will be in HSM4. How do they plan to do that? Have someone fail to graduate?
Anyone who saw /heard Vanessa’s interview from the set of Will knows that the six main characters (Zac, Vanessa, Ashley, Lucas, Corbin and Monique) will be DONE after HSM3. Yes, DONE. However, Vanessa said the “franchise” will continue with new characters.
