Zac Efron catches a connecting flight at JFK Airport in New York City on Sunday before jetting off to Salt Lake City to film High School Musical 3!
The 20-year-old actor arrived from London after wrapping up filming Me and Orson Welles in Douglas, Isle of Man (the center of the British Isles).
Disney recently announced that High School Musical 4 is already in the works!
“We are writing High School Musical 4“, said Disney Channel president Rich Ross. “Are we going to have all the cast back? Probably not. Will we have some of them? I hope so.”

Great to see Zac, even if he looks tired! Probably couldn’t sleep due to the excitement of seeing his sweetie, Vanessa. I’m sure Kenny will let him get some rest before he starts rehearsal. Bet he won’t schedule 3 movies in a row again without a break in between….lol We love and missed you Zac!
i agree kgg. this will be a bit of a lesson in learning how to pace himself a bit better. he might be young and needing to get his career off the ground but i think this schedule may have been a bit of a mistake.

Hi Zanessa fans. I didn’t say anything about HSM4 in my last post. I like some of the rest think they should have let HSM go after 3. I was disappointed when I heard they were adding in the new cast members for 4. Then to announce the making of 4 while they should be promoting 3. This is a very special year for our cast. They are Seniors and a lot goes on with decisions they will make and also looking forward to Prom Night and Graduation. Adding a new cast and promoting 4 takes away from the 3 and it is going to be on the,” big screen”.
HSM4 should have been put on the back burner and maybe it might have had a small chance. As it is now I wonder!!!!!!!
I want our cast to finish off with the honor that made this musical for us , as well as Disney and all that is involved. They deserve it all.
Love all the Cast of HSM, HSM2 and Looking for HSM3.

You keep mentioning ‘Footlose’ here. Was this project confirmed? As far as I know, there were negotiations and Zac said that he most definitely wanted to do it but did he actually sign the contract?
Otherwise, he looks really tired and I hope he can sleep a lot before rehearsing. And I also hope that paps will not follow him everywhere. He deserves a little break. And TLC from his girl…

i don’t think anyone from the original cast will return.. they’re supposed to have graduated from high school in HSM3. There’s no point in them returning unless its titled college musical. Its probably gonna have the new characters they will introduce in HSM3.. so its gonna be like a spin-off.

wow - i think that a hsm 4 is a good idea! but then again it would only be good if it had zac, vanessa and ashley and i guess they kinda need to move on with their careers. perhaps not then….

on another note — this whole Prince of Persia rumor .. anyone heard anything on that?? — now, if zac got that, it seems he would need to start shooting immediately after hsm3 wraps. yikes!!

So glad to see Zac is on his way to Utah. He looks absolutely wiped out. Hopefully he can get a day or two to get over jet lag. I read somewhere that on the 11th, they had an all day shoot for the movie so that means he only got maybe one day to pack and get ready to leave, if that. He will need a good rest after HSM3. I hope he scheduled some down time after it . Looks like he needs it. Even after a long flight though, he still looks super handsome.
