Gwyneth Paltrow - “Vogue” May 2008

Gwyneth Paltrow brings a superhero flair to her high glam look on the May 2008 cover of Vogue.

“I simplify everything,” Ms. Paltrow tells Vogue on juggling her kids, career and husband Chris Martin.

According to FWD, the 35-year-old actress is wearing a gold, tissue-lame, embroidered Pre-Fall 2008 dress by Oscar de la Renta and Robert Lee Morris cuffs.

Gwyn is resting her elbow on an Iron Man mask. The superhero flick flies in theaters nationwide on May 2.

Almost as bad as the last Kidman cover.

I am so sick of her and Kate Hudson. They are so boring!

Robert Downey, Jr. in a wig would have been prettier!

This is so 90s. Gwyneth’s heyday is over. Can’t believe Vogue is still putting her on their covers.

Love it! Tranny-tastic!

I can’t believe Gwyneth would want this picture of her on the maganize cover. YUCK. Her kids probably wouldn’t even recognize her.

This is not her best cover. She looks surprised.

I have never found her to be pretty -she is homely to me

oh god…I will not be looking forward to my May issue of Vogue arriving in the mail. I HATE her. Why does Anna Wintour keep putting her on the cover? She has **** style now and is doing **** films. And whenever I read about what the general public has to say about her, it is usually negative. There are some die hard fans who actually believe that she is nice and pretty but the general sentiment is that she is self-absorbed, elitist, a *****, and a tranny. Stop putting her on magazine covers! As if she is going to have anything interesting to say. Her last vogue article was about kids, marriage, and juggling work. BORING!

Me thinks Vogue needs new blood *cough* Anna *cough* and seriously she got the cover for Iron Man? lol

She should not have gotten a cover for Iron Man. That is soooo wrong!

Too much PS or is she botoxing now?

photoshopping is and has been a huge part of media for a while now. GET OVER IT. i’m sure if one of the haters actually gets to be on a magazine cover, chances of that happening are super slim to none, others will be quick to point out PHOTOSHOP THIS TRANNY MESS THAT.

Captain Obvious @ 04/14/2008 at 5:15 pm

Duh! Everyone knows photoshopping is part of the media but there is such a thing as going overboard. Yup, she looks a tranny mess!

I think Anna must have a soft spot for limp-haired blondes with fading careers.

lol at the idiots who say why she got the cover. SHE”S A STAR. Oscar winner, fashion icon, married to Chris Martin, Madonna’s best friend,
She looks great. I love her

they definitely went to town with the air brushing. she looks thinner here than on the Harper’s cover which they air brushed the hell out.

This should be a good interview; Gwyneth is notorious for putting her foot in her mouth.

The dress is beautiful but I’m also disappointed they chose Gwyneth. She hasn’t been a style icon for a long time. The Vogue covers of late are becoming very generic.

She needs to reinvent herself asap because she’s getting Ultra BORINGGGG and Ugly.

Is this really US Vogue and not the UK?

prettypretty @ 04/14/2008 at 5:46 pm

I do not think anyone they put on the cover of Vogue now is really a major star. Those days are gone.

green fairy @ 04/14/2008 at 5:52 pm

The gown is beautiful. The hair looks like she just got out of bed.

ugh i hate it. why do they insist on putting celebrities on the cover? almost every other edition of vogue mostly feature models. seriously, what place does gwyneth paltrow has in the fashion world?
and what’s with all the writings on the covers? they look so cheap, like a tabloid or something. look at italian vogue’s cover a few months baack, a gorgeous model with nothing but ‘icon’ written on it.
anna wintour has got to go.

I dont like the facial expression. But otherwise I like the cover.
