Taylor Swift - CMT Music Awards 2008
Taylor Swift picked up Best Female Video for her hit single “Our Song” at the 2008 CMT Music Awards at the Curb Events Center at Belmont University on Monday in Nashville, Tennessee.
“Are you serious? I can’t even believe this,” said the 18-year-old singer who won in a field that included Carrie Underwood, LeAnn Rimes, Martina McBride and Miranda Lambert.
Congrats, Taylor!!

Love the dress, but Carrie Deserved a whole lot more to win Femele artist, Taylor Songs are hot, but Carries are hotter, and has better vocals, plus I didn’t really like her performance that much, Carrie performance was way better than Taylor’s. tough it’s cool, she won , but I don’t think Carrie is piss, since they are suppose to be great friends. right?
OMG I loved Taylor last night and I couldn’t stop laughin when she walked up there with her shoes in her hands and said her stylist was gonna kill her for taking them off, then when she said Kellie had won for I Wonder and Kellie was like I love you Taylor!! It was a picture moment when Taylro won video of the year and huged Kenny Chesney, you can tell he was so proud of her!! It was such an asweome night! Ugh and her preformace of Picture to Burn!! LOVE that song!! She’s just so awesome!!

I think this girl is a little strange looking … I agree with Chelsey above. And - at only 18 with all this mega success - I hope this doesn’t all go to her head … way too much too soon at an amazingly young age. Personally, I think she is overrated. Carrie Underwood is much more talented!
One thing Taylor has that Carrie doesn’t is the loyalty to her fans. I mean go to a signing line for Carrie, and you’ll probably end up with a “pre-signed” picture. But, go to a Taylor signing line and you’ll actually get to talk to her! I love Taylor. Congrats!
She looked great at the CMA awards! Such a great talent. I love her music and like Alyssa said, she definitely has more fan loyalty!

Taylor swift is not only absolutely gorgeous, talented, and has an opened mind, she is also very inspiring.. She is MY inspiration, and i use to only act, but now am working on my passion that my family never knew i loved- singing. Im going to be in the show my childs a superstar in tennesee, which is super exciting, all because i want to be like my idol. taylor swift:)
